anyways so the truth of the matter is that when you look at progress in the Senate especially from the Republican side African-American Chiefs of Staff in the on the Republican side the only African-American female chief of staff was mine the current only Hispanic Chief of Staff who happens to be female is mine you look at the fact that when I helped to rewrite the tax code in 2017 I focused on my growing up experience which was a single mother I cut her taxes single mothers like mine average income around $40,000 by 73% only the only one black senator out of 50 we're talking about progress there only two on the other side there's only two on the other side Sunny Hosten just had to strike up a conversation with Tim Scott on the same monotonous topic from her guide book she usually likes to talk about and what better chance to bring out the race cards on the table when a political person of color from the other side is sitting right across her now that's a chance Sunny could not have missed when she dragged Senator Tim Scott into the race baiting game to launch a ser of attacks against the Republican cabinet however this did not come as a surprise for Tim Scott who was there fully knowing of the fact that Sunny Hosten barely had anything to talk about besides berating white people and playing the victim surprisingly she does not play the victim alone but also uses every other black person as a political scapegoat to launch a racial Vendetta that serves many purposes Tim however being a rational man as he is delivered a powerful factually loaded takedown of Sunny hoston after she was caught in a lie but what was that lie well we all know what it's going to be but let's look at it from the beginning the segment kicked off quite well when Alysa Farah Griffin appreciated Tim Scott entering the political race because of his core position as a traditional conservative with a hopeful message now Tim's life is an example for all the people out there who have not yet attained the ideal American life but are seeking to do so revealed that the core aspect of his success was quality education something that needs to be distributed equally Across the Nation so that more people like him could climb the ladder of success as he was on this topic hinting at the kind of hard life he had during childhood Sunny Hosten took that as a perfect chance to bring out another one of her racist agendas on the table now we all know that Sunny hoston leaves no chance in insisting on relatability between her and every person of color who has had a hard childhood and Tim Scott was not going to be the exception she started by relating to Tim Scott's difficult childhood claiming that she also grew up in one of the poorest and lowincome areas with a lot of violence in the streets she pointed out the fact that Tim had been the first black senator in the south after 114 years and despite such apparent Prejudice he had continued to deny pointing it out something the leftist had been doing for the black community in general I I am actually happy that you're here we we we have some things in common you grow up you grew up in a single family household single mother household I grew up with both of my parents but raised in the Bronx projects amidst a lot of poverty and and and violence and you are the first black senator elected in the South since the Reconstruction that would be about I think about 114 Years yet you say that your life disproves uh left leftist lies and and my question to you is I'm the exception right you're the exception maybe even miss whippy Goldberg is the exception she's but we are not the rule you grew up with a single parent while I grew up with both there is nothing relatable between a person who grew up with both parents in New York and a person who grew up with a single parent in South Carolina there is by far no relatability between a person who struggled his way through these difficulties and a person who winded her way through an already privileged life the fact that she puts her words in Tim's mouth insinuating systemic racism to be a leftist lie is quite convincing that the topic isn't really about representing the oppressed majority but an attack on the political opposition the fact that she pointed out fingers at the Republican cabinet makes it clear which cause she has been standing for well it's completely wrong to deny that the Republicans haven't had their share in the systemic racism especi especially when they aligned with the southern strategy in the late 1960s and goldwater's strategy of opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 but it was an insignificant misalignment as compared to the democratic form of systemic racism which started way before it has been the Democratic party that has fought every major civil rights initiative and has a long history of discrimination since they were founded not to mention it was Andrew Johnson and his democratic peers who unified and voted against the 14th Amendment which gave black citizenship and the 15th Amendment which gave blacks the vote they also defended slavery started the Civil War opposed reconstruction founded the K Klux Clan imposed segregation perpetrated lynchings and fought against the Civil Rights Acts of the 1950s and 1960s and there was George Wallace who was an outspoken segregationist famously declaring segregation now segregation tomorrow segregation forever his actions and policies were designed to maintain racial segregation and disenfranchise African-Americans so the Democrats who have been the earlier champions of systemic racism until they recognized that it could be cashed in a different way in the end all three of these laws were passed through persistent Republican support and talking about blocking up opportunities wasn't it Joe Biden along with his his Democratic peers who filibustered the nomination of Judge Janice a black woman who was nominated for the DC Circuit by George W bush and that is just one case out of many which highlights the questionable behavior of the Democrats but that is a topic for another time because it is certainly not a good choice to carry the baggage of the past when you can struggle and attain a better future for yourself and Tim Scott is a perfect example of that who despite facing a fair share of difficulties refuses to vict imize his share of difficulties and discrimination he faced while growing up and be used as a political scapegoat Tim Scott also refused to call America a racist Nation believing that his life is a story that can only be real in a nation like the United States and so when it comes to racial inequality it persists in in five core aspects of life in the US economics education Healthcare criminal justice and housing at nearly every turn these achievements were fought threatened and erased most often by white violence you have indicated that you don't believe in systemic racism what is your definition of systemic racism let me ask answer the uh question that you've answered as it or does it even exist in your mind let me answer the question this way one of the things I I think about and one of the reasons why I'm on the show is because of the comments that were made frankly on this show that the only way for a young African-American kid to be successful in this country is to be the exception and not the role that is is a dangerous offensive disgusting message to send to our young people today that the only way to succeed is by being the exception or does it even exist in your mind isn't it hilarious how sunny thinks she is the true victim and everyone else just Breeze through their life well she certainly had it hard considering her family had lost the Privileges of being slave owners now this is the point where Tim was slightly triggered because because of the show's persistent efforts to paint an African-American person's achievements as an exception degrading the rest of the public he called it an utterly disgusting message and his subtle aggressiveness was derived due to some genuine efforts made by Joy bear and sunny hoston on social media where they painted him as some kind of token person of color meant to collect support for the Republican party not only that but they also made memes about him like Sunny posting a picture of the main character from the movie get out while quoting his ideology America is not a racist country despite being attacked on a personal level and knowing the agenda the panel had been harboring against him Tim had decided to appear on The View to defend common people who were being forcibly painted as oppressed especially by the always oppressed Sunny Hosten he decided to rip this agenda apart when he claimed that he had not been an exception by bringing up the example of the African-American president vice president two secretaries of the state police chief the head of the highway patrol of South Carolina and more I will tell you that if my life is the exception I can't imagine I can't but it's not actually here's here's it's been 114 years yeah so so the fact of the matter is we've had an African-American president African-American uh vice president we've had two African-Americans to be secretaries of the state in my home City uh the police chief is an African-American who's now running for mayor the head of the highway patrol for South Carina is the African-American in 19 in 1975 um there was about 15% unemployment in the African-American Community for the first time in the history of the country it's under 5% 40% homelessness and 50% % of the folks in our community 1% of the chance to ask the question I know I've watched you on the show that you like people to be deferential and respectful so I'm going to do the same thing it's hilarious how sunny just jumped the gun and shot back with fact and statistics about issues like homelessness which is a much bigger problem transcending the boundaries of racism and targeting all Americans equally now these kinds of discussions require a more in-depth discussion instead of just tying it down to problems such as racism while disparities and inequities do exist using them to assert systemic racism and label any success within the system as an exception should not go unchallenged Tim did a great job when he pointed out the fact that people can judge America's progress by observing the mainstream media channels where there are African-American hosts in dominant positions every kid today can look just change the stations and see how much progress has been made in this country ABC NBC CBS ESPN CNN Fox News all have African-American and Hispanic hosts so what I'm suggesting is that the yesterday's exception is today's Rule and for us to America has met its promise no of course the the concept of America is that we are going to become a more perfect union but in fact the challenges that we Face 50 years ago and 60 years ago should not be the same challenges that we face today and here's the way that you you measure that when my mother was born about 10% of African-Americans got a high school degree diploma today is over 90% he also emphasized his belief that education has been the key to achieving the American dream due to which he decided to make sure that African-American kids get as many education opportunities as possible this was more than enough facts than the panel could have digested so decided to go on a break it's because I believe that education is the closest thing to Magic in America so I'm about making sure that our kids have as many opportunities to succeed as possible it's one of the reasons why I need an opportunity to succeed because I have to go to they're they're Begg com I'm just getting started I leave all people can see the success that I've had well we can sum up Tim's message in a very simple Manner and that is to work hard without giving any ear to such political propaganda that is meant to keep people down and divided now we all know that even though America has not been an ideal country it thrives to be one as it consistently improves by shedding the baggage of its history and leveling the playing field for all the Nationals of the state
