keeper in the five hole and it's one nothing Blue Jays sometimes that all it takes is they see her up there she's between two Defenders they know she's got speed they know she's a goal scorer get the ball to her take a chance and then there you never know what's going to happen when you put it on goal you never know and good things happen when you when you you test the keeper early just past the 9 there absolutely taking her opportunity sees a player oneon-one and takes her head on and like you just mentioned before that and that was the big thing we've been mentioning they know this team wants to be physical you keep the ball and keep them away from you it's hard for them to push you off the ball and get to the way that they want to play joined now by the head blue jay himself Jimmy Walker coach you got to feel pretty good about the way that first 45 went yeah got off to a good start um two early goals which is always good uh still I mean I know it pretty critical but I really don't think we've played as well as we can we got to dial into the little details we've got to be a little bit sharper with our decision making uh we got to move the ball a little bit quicker feel like we're we're you know we're we're playing too reactionary instead of anticipating things and steps ahead uh so a few things to sort out at halim because this this game is not over they're going to they're a good team they've come back at us the last 30 minutes we need to tidy a few things up at halftime coach what do you feel the difference was in the first half of that half that led of the two goals versus the back half that you want to improve again I think I think some of the Personnel we had in there they were making good decisions making good choices um reading the game really really well and then we've kind of gone up in the game and then I feel like our our decision mak's not been good the last 20 minutes we're you know we're playing a a short ball into Midfield Under Pressure um and then you know we're not reading that situation of when to play when to buy pass um there's some good movement off the ball up top and maybe picking the wrong player out versus getting a head up and just recognizing movement from other players but it was a solid first half um but you know we've T the difference in the game is we've taken our two chances they haven't there's not much in the game other than that I'm hoping the wind will play a factor again in the second half for us but um solid but we still gotot work today we're certainly not at our best right now all right coach we'll no matter where the wall is at she put that right exactly where she wanted it no keeper can get to that it's clinical finish that's a weapon on greaton side right there we're joined now by the head coach Jimmy Walker coach you keep a clean sheet here on the home open or what could be better yeah we talked a lot about shutouts um we've been close in a couple of games um thought we were a little bit unfortunate at Iowa State not to get one because we did play well defended really well uh but today we've put so we were solid really put a solid game together for 90 minutes still didn't think it was our best performance but we defended really well we had some great when the goalkeeper was called upon to make a couple of saves she did a great job back forward dealt with that number nine really good because she's a good player but really pleased if you'd have told me before the game we'll win that 3-0 I just snap your hands off so really really good first win at home so coach you had some great goals today we want to talk about a zim andrii and she's got three goals in three matches came over and gave the bench a hug just how special a player she been this year and how how Fun's it been for you as a coach to see her step into her own so early already yeah Special player I mean I said at Hal time not to offend any of the players but she's probably the best player I've ever coached and she's got the ability and we said to her at half time you got to take control of this game a little bit more she was being a bit too nice in the first half and got into some good positions and she passed it rather than shot it but kid's Elite uh she's a great player a competitor and I still didn't think she was at her best today so I'm excited to see her at the best in the upcoming games all right coach you head into the weekend the big rivalry match with Nebraska coming up what are you looking for from the girls here over the next couple of days yeah we're going to have to play better against Nebraska cuz you know you're almost going to have to play a game there where you're error free soccer and we're going to have to manage the game a little bit better and defend well in that game but it's going to be a different kind of challenge we're capable of scoring goals uh we're capable of creating opportunities um but that that's a game against Nebraska where everybody's going to have to be at an eight out of 10 an average performance won't provide an extraordinary result so you want an extraordinary result we got to have an extraordinary performance so we'll be working on that the next couple of days and get into it mentally so we're ready to go all right coach congratulations on your first win here at moris the stadium we hope to see many more yeah let's go
