this is your afternoon forecast I'm meteorologist Lance Huffman temperatures when we get into this afternoon are going to be in the mid 80s across the area we'll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies across the area for the afternoon we get to 87° at 2 p.m. and when we get towards 2 p.m. we do see the chance for a stray shower perhaps a thunderstorm but most of us will be drying these are going to be very isolated across the area with the 87 degrees at two we go to 89° at 400 p.m. keeping these mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies across the area and our high temperature for the day is going to be 90° for four way and that's going to be tying in with some higher heat and higher humidity as well going to make it feel pretty unpleasant today temperatures get down to 79° at 9:00 p.m. for Fort Wayne now let's take a look at that future cast heat index here we're going to feel like 96 degrees with that high temperature of a 90° it's going to feel like will be in the 90s for the majority of this afternoon so stay hydrated and limit outdoor exposure if you can and unfortunately it's going to get more and more muggy as these next few days go on let's take a look at muggy meter here we're going to be humid for tomorrow as well we get towards Tuesday unfortunately we're going to be back in that oppressive category on our muggy meter but the good news if there is good news here is going we're going to be in tropical on Wednesday and then back to humid on Thursday and that oppressive category on Tuesday is going to tie into some very unpleasant temperatures let's take a look at the next three days here 93° on Monday for that high temperature it's going to feel like 97° but also with it being mostly sunny on Monday that sunlight can also make it feel a bit more hot outside so still definitely want to limit your outdoor exposure definitely have the AC on at home or in your car and don't have anyone inside your car when it's turned off or really alone 94 degre is going to be the high temperature for Tuesday with that oppressive humidity it is going to make it feel like we will be at around 105 maybe higher so we definitely will keep you posted on that we could see it an advisory maybe a watch or a warning issu so we'll definitely keep you posted on that let's take a look at the exclusive 10day forecast here 93 degrees for that high temperature on Monday again we're going to feel like we'll be in the mid to Upper 9s when we get to the afternoon with that 94 degrees on Tuesday feeling like 100 or higher at times with that we are looking at some slight rain and storm chances over this upcoming week not really anything solid at least until we get towards Friday when a cold front looks to move its way on through and for next weekend we look to be into the lower to mid 80s Labor Day 77° and Tuesday 75
