Good morning on this Saturday. W fa meteorologist K Roberts here. Nice to see a morning without any showers and storms out there. Although I can't say the day is gonna be completely rain freeze. There could be some uh scattered activity a little later on this afternoon into the uh early evening hours as we start to heat up a little bit. Dallas Bapt University, 73 degrees at the moment. No delays at DFW airport. That's good news, especially after all the problems from this past week, from the rain and storms that we've had. It's also 73 degrees. Although if you're catching a flight today, keep an eye on the sky because there could be a little rain and storm activity around. Look at these thunderstorms that erupted in, uh West Texas in the Texas Panhandle yesterday evening, started to make a beeline for North Texas, but just kind of hit a wall and fizzled out as they moved into our western areas. So western portions of North Texas saw a little rain, maybe some uh, rumbles of thunder. A little gusty wind activity early this morning. All that's fizzled out, but it's kind of left over a little bit of a disturbance in the air. And so that disturbance is gonna slowly drift kind of east southeast as we head throughout the day. Today, reigniting some showers and some thunderstorms, especially once we hit the heat of the day. So 10 a.m. to noon, a little scattered activity out there and then that'll continue this afternoon into this evening and you can see, not everybody will see rain and it won't rain all day long. But kind of best chances maybe from DFW to the east and to the southeast through the afternoon and evening hours. But as we head into the evening and night, most activity moves out and we'll be left with a dry Saturday evening, Saturday night, tomorrow, what we'll be watching is yet again, if any activity can make its way to North Texas from West Texas or the Texas panhandle. If we're quiet in the morning though, I think there'll be a chance of some of that afternoon and evening redevelopment. So there's some kind of that redevelopment during the day tomorrow, but just like today, not everybody will see rain. It'll be of the scattered variety as we head through your Sunday. So highs today, 8789 tomorrow, not in all day rain tomo uh today or tomorrow as well. In fact, your severe weather threat, this is good to see for most of you. It's non existent. It's a one on a scale of five there for southeastern North Texas and can't rule out maybe some gusty winds, some small hail if you find yourself underneath any thunderstorms, but definitely not the type of thunderstorms that we saw, you know, earlier this past week or this past weekend. It's just kind of your typical, uh, we can now say summertime thunderstorms here in North Texas, same deal tomorrow, overall severe weather threat on the low side. If you find yourself with underneath the storm though, watch out for the lightning, watch out for some gusty winds and small hail under any of those. And if you all so underneath any thunderstorms could have some briefly heavy rain. So that's not gonna cause widespread flooding issues. But you know, right underneath the thunderstorm could cause a little brief localized flooding problems. The problem once we get rid of the rain, which I know, you know, a lot of you are sick of it is the temps go up. So it's 90 by Monday, 93 on Tuesday peak at the heat Wednesday with a high of 95 and with all the rain that we've had, of course, all of that is gonna come with humidity as well. So it's gonna be a rather sticky upcoming week, although it is June. So it is that time of year and storm chances may return by next weekend.
