hello this is Marshall hubsher talking to you about today's second day of the US Open at Flushing Meadows uh the first match we went to was in the grandstand and we saw at CPAs who was number five in the world uh playing konakis who is Nick hios his doubles partner and they won the US Open two years ago but now kakas is playing singles and he's playing very well and he beat tipas the number five seed while kakas is about ranked 86th in the world it was a big upset it was a great tennis great serving and then after the grand stand I went to the uh arth rash Stadium where we had very good seats in the court side and we saw IGA santic s w a t e k but it's pronounced Shante uh she's number one in the world for the women in tennis and she had a hard time with this uh um French woman she lost the second set and she won the third so she won two out of three sets and went on to the next round it was great tenns back and forth very few unforced errors and then uh yanuk sinner the number one men's player in the world came on to the court and he was playing great the first set actually he lost 76 in a tiebreaker but then he won the next three sets 62 62 61 he didn't make any unforced errors the last three sets and he beat McKenzie McDonald who was a high ranking American player young but uh getting better and better then after that we went inside and uh went to the uh Aces Club the restaurant Aces High Class restaurant it was a beautiful place great food after that we went back to the grandstand where Sebastian Corda who's the son of Peter Corda who was number four in the world and I became friendly with back in the early 90s cuz he was staying next door to me when he was at the US Open uh and I took them to block poster video him and his girlfriend to pick out video he wasn't married then but now in 2024 his son Sebastian Corda is ranked number 16 in the world and he played very well and he beat uh matau of France uh he's getting better and better and Sebastian cord's sisters Peter gord's daughters are Nelly Corda who's number one golfer in the world they live in Florida then after that uh we went went to the store the US Open store bought some clothing socks uh then as last match we went to see Stan marinka who's 39 years old and still playing at a high level but he lost um in three sets to uh Bruce Elli of Italy but it was a great day we saw so many matches so many great points so many great rallies uh this is the second day and I'm going again tomorrow so I'll report for [Music]
