hi beautiful souls welcome back to Awakening with Allison I'm Allison Billings your guide on this journey of spiritual growth and Awakening today we're diving into a topic that's close to my heart conscious relationships and mindfulness in relationships whether you're single dating or in a long-term partnership these insights will help you cultivate deeper more meaningful connections so let's get started imagine a relationship where you feel completely understood deeply connected and fully supported a relationship where conflicts are handled with Grace and both Partners grow together in harmony this isn't a fantasy it's possible through developing conscious relationships and practicing mindfulness conscious relationships are all about bringing awareness and intention into how we relate to others it's about moving beyond automatic reactions and habits to create a space where both Partners feel seen heard and valued first let's talk about active listening in a conscious relationship listening goes beyond just hearing the words your partner is saying it means fully engaging with their emotions and experiences when your partner is speaking give them your un undivided attention put away distractions make eye contact and listen with an open heart reflect back what you've heard to show that you understand and care about their feelings for example if your partner shares that they had a tough day at work you might say it sounds like you had a really challenging day that must have been stressful for you how are you doing this simple Act of active listening and mirroring can strengthen your connection and build trust next is self-awareness to be mindful in a relationship you need to be aware of your own thoughts feelings and triggers take time to reflect on your emotions and understand where they're coming from this self-awareness allows you to communicate more effectively and it prevents misunderstandings when you notice a strong emotion arising pause and take a deep breath ask yourself what am I feeling right now and why am I feeling this way this practice helps you to respond from a place of clarity rather than reacting impulsively if you need to take space to Center yourself before continuing communication that can also go a long way in protecting your relationship take ownership of of your own feelings and with awareness you will be better able to not project them onto others in your life another important element is compassionate communication this means expressing your needs and feelings honestly while also being considerate of your partner's perspective use eye statements to take responsibility for your own emotions and avoid blaming or criticizing an example would be instead of saying you never listen to me try saying I feel unheard when we don't have time to talk this approach opens up a dialogue and invites your partner to understand your feelings without feeling attacked finally conscious relationships thrive on shared growth this one was even in my vows one of the things I love most about my husband is that he is willing to grow and work on himself I am an eternal student and so I wanted a partner that also wanted to grow with me in conscious relationships it's important to support each other's personal development and celebrate each other's successes by engaging in activities that nurture your bond whether it's meditating or attending a workshop doing a course or simply spending some time in nature you're building a lasting relationship that can handle the ups and downs of Life remember a conscious relationship is a journey it's not a destination it's about continuously evolving together learning from each other and growing in love and understanding this is not something to judge each other for judge yourself for of course so thank you so much for joining me today I hope these insights inspire you to bring more mindfulness and intention into your relationship ships and if you found this video helpful please give it a thumbs up subscribe share it with others who might benefit and please leave a comment with your thoughts or any questions that you have I love reading your comments and connecting with you so until next time stay mindful stay connected love and gratitude to you all
