Labor Day show I hope everyone has a great holiday we have great great news that Ricky peol is out of the hospital on the road to recovery after being shot in the chest holy cow unbelievable story horrible story feels so bad for Ricky piol but so happy that he is okay and out of the hospital that is just terrific to see we'll have news and notes I have some ADP risers and fallers obviously a lot of drafts over the weekend obviously more drafts coming up before the season starts on Thursday with Kansas City hosting Baltimore give me one bold prediction Heath you good one bold prediction I've got all kinds of old predictions um me yeah uh rashy One Bold Prediction from Heath and Jamey! rice will break the record for the most receptions by a chief and finishes a top 12 wide receiver what's the record what's the number uh Tyreek had won 11 I believe oh his last year right okay F top 12 wide receiver Chief's record for most receptions Rashi rice I said that I said that sentence completely backwards for some reason uh Jamie what is your bold prediction um that let's see I'll go with uh Jen Daniels become the fourth quarterback in NFL history to rush for 10,000 yards okay okay which one's more likely heaths or Jamies neither that's why they're B no I think I I think they're they're realistic bold predictions I'd say James is more likely J yeah I I have rice projected at like 92% of his and I don't have 120 yards projected for Daniels so I'll say rice is more likely okay I'll read one of Dave's Dave's not on the show today but he gave me his bold predictions Joe burrow finishes as qb1 I just I'm like I'm getting nervous about the chase stuff I I wish I knew if there was anything to this but are you guys worried about Chase getting injured or auk getting injured or lamb getting injured because they didn't practice I mean I know they obviously were working out it's like they were sitting on the couch but you can't really simulate training camp and hits and and preas not not that they were gonna play in the preseason so much anyway but I think it is slightly more likely but I'm not worried about it okay because he need he cannot be qb1 without Chase playing probably 15 games right I mean he needs Chase oh of course I I don't think Dave would say that if he knew Chase wasn't gonna play right I'm just I guess I'm a nervous guy who has a lot of Jamar Chase and some Joe burrow how's your weekend going guys how's your holiday um I I I went to a friend's house I didn't fall asleep well that makes one of us yeah go ahead go ahead you can tell you could tell the story where were you I don't know I got a text message I my house he fell asleep twice yeah I drove out to Nando today with the family like an hour and a half Drive almost and I was up till 5:00 a.m. you know I I went to sleep really early but then I woke up at 1:30 and I was up till 5 I was exhausted so I just kept falling asleep on his couch fell asleep once he made fun of me took pictures fell asleep again he made fun of me took pictures sent it to a different group of friends what are what are your what are your wife and kids doing while you're sleeping on his couch playing with his kids okay yeah they're all having fun but I just I didn't really honestly didn't really feel like I could safely drive home if I didn't get a nap in or two have you ever fallen asleep at a friend's house all the time yeah not in the last 15 years yes that happened a lot in high school and college I guess um no today has been a really refreshing fantastic afternoon my parents had their first Fantasy Football Draft ever nice uh this evening in their in their neighborhood and I guess a fairly serious League except I don't understand um on a different site the superflex position is called something completely different um like I've never heard of it before I had to look it up to see what the position was and it's just a super Flex you could start anyone so somehow my parents got both Josh Allen and Jaylen Herz in a superflex league and they got Jonathan Taylor also and they're just absolutely crushing the league so so they're gonna think that they cheated because they're related to you exactly yes yeah the the only bad news that they got was when the draft grades came out um at the end of the night they got an A and they were the highest ranked team which of course is a is a Terri thing Kiss of Death here are some news and notes for you as we get ready for week one Mark Andrews is going to play in week one Maris Brown is out in week one and this is Kansas City and Baltimore on Thursday it's at Arrowhead Clyde Edwards aair is nice to see him back participating in individual drills samj perine is going to play so that running back rotation I don't know that Clyde I'm assuming you guys are not expecting Clyde to play this week no okay so we'll Injuries, News, and Notes see um but uh samj peran will play we'll see how the running backs uh shake out for the Chiefs Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce feels really good about Brock Bowers playing in week one at the Chargers Marshon Lloyd participated in team drills they have the Friday game in Brazil against Philadelphia Dallas GD same game he returned to practice after uh being out with an oblique injury we got Tyler Lockett and Keenan Allen on the injury report Jamie what are we thinking about Lockett and Allen and they're available for this week with Tyler Lockett against Denver and Keenan Allen against Tennessee uh I did not really dive into a lot of the injury news yet but we have a text chain myself Heath and Dave about who we Rank and who we don't Rank and Dave sent us uh his takes on a couple guys Heath did also but uh Dave did say we're not ranking tycka this week so my guess is that doesn't sound very optimistic I think he said Keenan now's playing if I'm not mistaken right I think I said Allen there was optimistic reports about Allen so are ranking Allen we're not I think the only guys we're not ranking right now I guess Clyde um Lockett DS Maris Brown and there was one more right not ranking um yes Ricky beerel yes there you go um okay we also have uh DJ reer Lions defensive tackle he could miss week one facing the Rams on Sunday night one of the Marquee games the Dolphins signed wide receiver Robbie chosen the Dolphins agreed to a three-year extension with head coach Mike McDaniel that's through 2028 Josh Jacobs said that the Chiefs tried to sign him that was interesting and Cleveland quarterback denzo ward has clear the concussion protocol there's just two running backs said the Chiefs try to sign him or the Giants no he said the Chiefs Jacob said he he wouldn't go to the Chiefs because they were his rival when he was on the Raiders and he hates them he also said the Giants too tried to sign him oh that doesn't surprise me and he said that they offered four or five million dollars more than what he signed for in Green Bay but he didn't take it because of the New York taxes oh wow and I don't believe that for a second yeah I don't know if I believe any of this story man hardnox didn't say anything about Josh Jacobs for what that's worth well I mean that that that might have been you know team saying hey we don't want to insult saquan so don't put that in there please but yeah who knows well I think you know just reading a little bit of Twitter people are thinking like oh wow they they wanted to sign Josh Jacobs does that mean they don't really have faith in Pacho and then there's still a lot of people that are expecting uh Doom for Kiren Williams Because of uh the punt return thing so there's a lot of people thinking JP Ryan's just taking the McKinnon role yeah and that I think would not be an insignificant thing here so these are two guys who are you know midc round picks in a lot of drafts Kiren and Pacho and where where's your face there let's start with kir first if you were concerned about Kiren before this this should not change your mind this is really a non story he was the punt returner to start the season last year yeah so if you if you were or weren't concerned about him before this correct I'm sorry what did I say if you were concerned if you weren't concerned this shouldn't concern you I got concerned about Kiren Williams because this offensive line could be a mess like left tackle suspended for two games hain's dealing with an injury Jonah Jackson's dealing with like they're the three starters could be missing potentially um haven't seen excuse me um and that's concerning you know I mean it's you know look and then you factor in Korum in his role and the thing that really only thing that came out of that for me that made me a little bit little skittish was um he said we have confidence McVey we have confidence in Blake km and Ronnie rivers to handle touch whatever however he phrase it but he mentioned both those guys and are they going to use two other guys like that's not a McVey thing like he's never really used two guys is he G use three I don't think so but who knows so I mean Kiren just you know the injuries it just feels like it he was being overdrafted a little bit well are you do you think middle of round two is too early for him no but for me it was more dropping him behind the the guys that I had after him so I put him behind etn I put him behind Josh Jacobs I still have P ahead of him because I do think that P is not going to lose too much but uh I just dropped him behind all those guys and he start start with the Lions and they were one of the best run defenses in football last year so they they gave up the second fewest fantasy points to running backs they gave up the fewest rushing yards per game to running backs yards per you're not sitting him no no it's just unfortunately you don't want him to get off to a to a bad start and I mentioned that DJ reer may not play but he wasn't even on the team last year so they were one of the best run defenses football without DJ reer uh all right and anything you want to add Heath you want to talk about Pacho does this jacob story mean anything no doesn't didn't mean anything to me I didn't uh I what else you got uh Marvin Harrison Jr will set the rookie receiving record uh that puka nakua set last year he will be the first rookie wide receiver with 1500 receiving yards wow okay 1500 receiving yards for Marvin Harrison Jr and one more uh all of the prominent receivers aged 31 years or older will not finish as top 20 fantasy receivers now that is a bold prediction so that does not include Tyreek Hill right so that's Adams 31 or older so that is Cooper cup Devonte Adams Mike Evans and I put DeAndre Hopkins and Keenan Allen in there as well yeah what about Diggs is he 30 or 31 Diggs will be 31 in November but you know what's interesting you know what he tailed off last year right after his 30th birthday oh wow he partied too hard I okay so this is a very bold prediction Italian rainbow cookies maybe let's see I'm just I got Google Images up Italian rainbow cookies yeah yeah those things so like when Jamie asked you about the rainbow cookie he was asking you about the rainbow cookie yeah but if he had said Italian I would have been like oh maybe they're not really they're three colors what kind of a rainbow has three colors but yeah there like they're cakes they're not even really cookies they're cakes so yeah left a little bit for them no I think that is a is a bold prediction from Jamie I think it is a bolder prediction for probably you and definitely for ADP and the industry um like the only one of those guys that I'm super high on is Mike Evans I agree with him about Devonte Adams I agree with him about Amari Cooper um and I think Cooper cup is maybe just inside my top 20 I think it's a bold prediction and it's a good prediction except for Mike Evans part Cooper's 30 so he's not in this group Amari Cooper is 30 yes yeah well he should throw him in there yeah uh here are two others from Dave Derrick Henry finishes as as a top five running back even in PPR and uh Xavier worthy out produces all rookie wide receivers except Marvin Harrison I like that Xavier worthy wide receiver you ha that well I mean I like the boldness of it I like it too yeah they're both bold yeah um Jamie it seems like throughout the draft process you've been a little lower on derck Henry is that fair as we've gone on yes um just the offensive line a little bit of a concern and I think you know just you know going through this like we had this conversation a little while ago um Raheem moard is 32 Eric Henry's 30 the difference between the two of them is about six rounds right five six rounds depending on what ADP you look at MH one just scored 21 touchdowns and ran for 18 one we're hoping is gonna score 20 touchdowns like I just closed the Gap a little bit between those two guys in particular and one has like 1350 more carries in his career than the other it's amazing that Raheem moard has 674 career carries and he's 32 that kind of illustrates the the reason though one's suffered a lot more injuries than the other or missed a lot more time with injuries all right I want to take a look at some ADP risers and fallers here from over the weekend you go to look at our ADP you see the arrows up or down tell me what you guys make of this risers and fallers Jerome Ford is up five spots to 93rd overall Jerome Ford is now ahead of Devin single ter and Jaylen Warren Jerome Ford is up five spots to 9 yeah it's a little higher than I ADP Risers: Jerome Ford, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Josh Palmer, Chuba Hubbard like um I think he's maybe going around earlier than I have him but I understand I saw some some people tweeting today about Nick chub May missed the first half of the Season that wouldn't really surprise me okay would you take Devon single ter Andor Jaylen Warren ahead of Jerome Ford I would okay uh Caleb Williams and Jaden Daniels are moving up right around pick 100 they have moved ahead of Jared gof Caleb Williams and Jaden Daniels I'm sorry I wasn't pay attention what Caleb Williams and Jaden Daniels have moved ahead of Jared gof they're around pick 100 they should be that's exactly where I have them and ahead of Jared G so I agree Brian Thomas Jr is up six spots he's now ahead of Jameson Williams Ryan Thomas Jr is now 120th overall in our ADP that's a steal right still a great value yeah uh chuba hubard up nine spots to oh wait actually would you take Brian Thomas or Jameson Williams I would take Thomas by one spot two spots Thomas by about a round uh chuba Hub up nine spots to 128th overall it's expected with the Jonathan Brooks news but you don't want to overvalue him because if Brooks comes back he could dominate touch yeah I don't so he's a round and a half behind Jerome Ford yeah I mean the interesting thing about this is that I I said this I think on our last show right you got a guy like chuba hubard who's up nine spots to 128th overall well that means in recent drafts I don't know he's he's not going 128th overall he's going earlier than that it's pulling his old ADP up to 128th overall right and the same thing with Jerome Ford who's up five spots to 93rd overall so Jerome Ford might be going in the 80s and chuba chubber might be going in the 110 range I I obviously these are still I like card better yeah at those you like H better than Ford well if I can get Hub in the 110s or Ford in the 8S oh agreed yeah I think the thing you got to look at with your with your teams is like there people that draft hubard and Ford with the idea of using them early like you know hero RB zero RB you know options if you if you have a good running back core like don't take those guys take Blake corm take Trey Benson Take You know guys that are going to be potentially differen makers in the second half of the season if you're never going to play Ford hubber like why you draft him yeah the bye star in week five so it's possible that Brooks and chub are back by the time the bi-weeks kick in and that's what you drafted chuba hubber to be you know he a bye-week replacement however I the way I've been thinking of it I don't know how you guys feel about it is like Brooks Tes ACL he's going to come back I don't know when he's going to come back but wouldn't shock me if he's back as soon as he's eligible to come off week five chub I am nervous about with that injury was so much worse than just a torn ACL so that's got to be why and and like Ford had a good year last year that's got to be why Ford goes probably two rounds H didn't do poorly at the end of the season I mean no you know look he's okay he didn't score but the the the difference is is that the offense is so much better in Carolina should be so much better I mean the offensive Line's better the coach is better compared to Carolina last year not you're not saying it's going to be better than Cleveland one correct yeah might be I mean it might be as good who knows but uh I actually think I'm I'm thinking about it who do you guys think before Brooks and chub come back who has a higher percentage of the touches in their respective backfields Ford or hubard I would think Ford because yeah you know I don't know exactly what's going on with Forman he's been banged up twice in Camp I mean we haven't heard a peep about miles Sanders yeah I was gonna say I thought it might H hover might right that's why I was thinking mil Sanders I don't know feels like it's either I think it's h yeah like miles Sanders doesn't seem like a big threat to hubard but I that's say I don't know okay yeah we don't know we'll see uh let's see who's next on here Josh Palmer up four spots to 131st overall still a steal right correct yeah Josh Palmer hund let's call him round 11 pick Antonio Gibson and Ty Chandler are up four spots to 140th overall Heath any idea why Antonio Gibson and Ty Chandler might be risers I think Tai Chandler is a great value and maybe just some some sharper people realizing that he's a really good pick that could be a flex with Aaron Jones and could be an rb2 if Aaron Jones gets hurt I think you know Gibson Gibson is going to matter at some point during the season now again terrible team and he's not been great but he's the next man up in in New England and this offense is still going to score some points and they're still going to move the ball they're still going to get some production from that that spot so I don't think they should be drafted in the same range I think Chandler's uh a much better sleeper but Gibson's not somebody you should forget about um speaking of sleeping by the way uh Chandler one of my favorite sleepers Adam also one of my uh favorite sleepers that's why you weren't paying attention you got the picture of me sleeping that's yeah that I mean you really made yourself comfortable yeah like I don't how many people's houses Jamie could you fall asleep that comfortably like in the living room in the middle of the day usually if I fall asleep at somebody's house like I'm sitting on the I'm sitting up I you just lay down did you ask them if they had a blanket no they offered in my opinion at one point I my mouth was like wide open as I was sleeping I was like like you went to sleep like that's not that's not you went to go take a nap and twice and and on two different couches too like my parents house I I could fall asleep like that in in the living room big Napper I nap all the time so this was not it's a great picture all right uh Marshon Lloyd is up five spots to 151st overall he's I mean he's the clear handcuff why don't we ever do shows during the day I know marshan Lloyd up five spots and uh good to see him on the know was he going on the pup list was he not going on the pup list um and so after you know like AJ Dylan's injury is really making people increase their their attention on Marsh L unless he just fell handcuff appeal yes I don't feel that way anymore well it could be Emanuel Wilson yeah but but you knew like I felt like if Dylan had any role in that scenario it would be the goal line back yeah uh by the way Thomas said in our chat that's a couch that turns into a bed too you should have just took the extra step and folded it out I'm just imag like you under some sheets I was sorry I was five spots before where he's going more cookie cake Kean Allen or Adam yeah that's the thing I feel like the weight thing is probably overblown so so does most people so he's down a 97th overall Jared G is down six spots but to 104th overall he's now behind as I mentioned Caleb Williams and uh and jayen Daniels but I want to see if he's still ahead of a bunch of guys but yeah Jared G falling um I didn't really know what but six spots actually kind of a lot to be honest with you so let me sort by quarterbacks here sorry Jared gof is still ahead of Tua he's behind pie Daniels and Caleb Williams ahead of Tua Trevor Lawrence Herbert thoughts on golf he was going too early so it's probably fine I think you know like we we talked about this you know like if you're in on the rookie quarterbacks and if you wanted to you know play it the other way as opposed to taking the guy with more upside first you take golf first and then hope they can get Caleb or Daniels on the way back I love golf this week absolutely love golf this week cannot him enough hint htin um it's going to be a big week for jerek G all right hey should I start uh not that I would but bold prediction since it's bold prediction show Jameson Williams scores more fantasy points than DK metf in week one metf getting certan is he I would think so the way they used certan last year metf is he never does I shouldn't say never he rarely does well against Elite cornerbacks that's a guy that'd be a little nervous about this week that's bold yeah all right we'll see how it works out of course if Tyler Tyler Locker doesn't play it's definitely going to help him but uh all right umad more Jameson or jsn jsn jsn I would I would imagine you you if you're ranking this week you're ranking jsn then Jameson then DK no no he he would just yeah no I mean it's a fair question I would chicken out I would rank him met no that's what I meant like Adam has just said that he would rank them that way and that's the way that it's going to score but he would it's a bold prediction yeah oh okay I look I think it's kind of as a philosophy it's like you can't just always go with your gut you gotta go with DK meaf is by far the most proven receiver in that Trio there's got to be something said about that and even when players get shadowed they don't get shadowed 100% of the time they might get shadowed 70% of the time so you don't want to overreact but if I was doing a a DFS lineup I sure as hell not have DK meaf in it I'll tell you that um okay sorry lad makoni down four spots to 114th overall and Ezekiel Elliott down four spots Jameson Williams is down four spots so those three guys are all being drafted similarly makoni Zeke and Jameson Williams any thoughts on those guys being fallers Maki is interesting because you know I I think we're I don't I don't want to speak for Heath I I know obviously Dave's a Josh Palmer guy I'm a Josh Palmer guy um for most of the off season I think everybody was almost a lab Maki guy and ADP was definitely a laad makoni guy um so he could still be the best receiver there you know it's it's easy to say Palmer's got the relationship the rapport with Herbert but it's a new offense new system you know this is the guy that they invested in and let a lot of Big Time guys go walk out the door so Maki could you know maybe not the beginning of the season but by the end of the year be the best charger receiver that be a surpris so I I have makoni five spots ahead of Palmer I think they're great both great values I think Palmer's probably more likely to score more fantasy points but makon is more likely to really matter I'm trying to find an old draft you know I'm gonna take a break and uh tell me you're gonna take a nap here's a here's a post NFL draft mock draft and I'll tell you where did lad makoni go let's find out and I bet I draft him no Heath drafted him I'll tell you where we drafted lad makoni just after the NFL draft in a half PPR League after you really want to see how things Week 1 Backfields We're Most Interested In play out to me it starts with Miami and Cincinnati I don't know about you guys but that those are big ones imagine if aan gets like 10 touches in week one people those 10 touches result in you know five yards per carry and you know seven yards per no eight yards per carry and uh what was he 11 yards per catch yeah uh whatever it was um pretty good um the Steelers Steelers and Titans yeah yeah there's so many here Chiefs I do want to see who the third down back is Cleveland they're definitely going to mix someone else in they you know they're never they haven't been foran if he's healthy yeah who's the third down back is it foran I feel like he was actually used that way in the preseason you know Bears yeah bears are going yeah almost every Back Field I want to see if tank bsby is gonna be the goal line guy that would bother me that would make me angry um I was gonna ask you earlier Washington yeah I was gonna ask you is there a big difference in your mind between Antonio Gibson in New England and Austin Eckler in Washington age yeah hope rooll though like week one touches you think there's a big difference there not really I have not done Washington projections yet um I I would guess that if there is a chance of one of the two getting more running down opportunities it would be Eckler over Gibson yeah I would agree yeah Atlanta you think Tyler aler is going to be a thorn in the side of the second or third best running back in fantasy I think there be yeah okay I mean if not really no look we we may have some surprise freakout moments you know like we may have some in that game between the Jets and the 49ers like you know are the 49ers going to throw Chris mcaffrey out there for his us ual workload or be concerned and you know a little bit cautious because of the calf and use maybe Jordan Mason a little too much are we going to see the Jets use brayan Allen in a role that we didn't see anybody used in tandem with Bree Hall last year like I don't think that's gonna happen but you know you never know you mentioned aler you know aler could have what if it's a 50-50 split and Bean's just dominating passing Downs work as well like that's going to freak people out yeah that's going to be terrible that's going to be terrible even if he is dominant on passing Downs that there's if it's a 50-50 split if it's a 6040 split do you think bejon Robinson could warrant a top five pick 6040 split no you got you can't you can't 6040 rushing yes I think so not but as long as bejan's got like 90% of the receiving but it's got to be a significant uptick in the passing production what did he have last year he was was he like a 60 catch guy probably not quite that much let's so if you don't have any need to play any of these guys if Wright ever hits I think he could be the best of the bunch if you're looking for somebody who might make an instant impacted probably Ray Davis because he could score some touchdowns and steal those from James Cook my favorite though is probably Bucky G because he could do all of it like he may be if something happens to Rashad white he could be the best of that group because he would get the most playing time um are we counting Mason or no yeah I mean I guess Mason's the ultimate lottery ticket to too yeah I I agree with Jamie there's a good case to be made for all four and like this section of my running back rankings I'm glad that The Season's almost ready to start so I can stop reordering those running backs but I think Bucky is the one I currently have at ranked highest right now so I currently have ranked highest as well but again I think if you're never going to play any of them like no no need to play any of them
