well from the Sussex players really not helping their course in terms of the match um Tim at 66 for3 they're still trailing by 71 runs and against a very strong Yorkshire attack suss have got to dig themselves out of a pretty deep hole here we've got the rest of day and tomorrow the local forecast here tomorrow suggests there could be quite a bit of rain uh which may save Sussex that being said they've got a lot of batting to do for the rest of the day if that's going to be uh the case as you say susex the leaders of the the second division they've only lost once in the division this season but they're going to have to back really well to get themselves out of this meanwhile down at the oval I'm afraid it's been raining for much of the morning the weather forecast suggesting that might well clear uh but at the moment no play down at the oval where Lancashire are four without loss in their second inning still with an uphill battle 236 runs behind uh Sur in the Test match though uh something you just cannot afford to do at this level um what I would say is there is you know in terms of batting to come Tom olopp is still there he batted beautifully in the first innings for his 86 and he showed the type of determination application grit that you need to display on this sort of a pitch against this quality of bowling there's still John Simpson to come Finn Hudson apprentice and and Jack Carson all of whom come back but you feel out of these five batters and you're right someone seems to have dug Sussex out of trouble in pretty much every game this season and they're going to need that 10 because they're well behind you'd think they'd need a lead of a couple of hundred if they're going to put Yorkshire under any sort of pressure in the second Innings the moment that seems quite a long way away so it's an uphill struggle here for sasic but as you say it presents an opportunity for some of these players to get their heads down and uh see if they can battle Sussex back know I've had 101 new faces it's going to take time and he said to you after the win on Tuesday about Kian Harris starting to settle in and and if he can be defensively strong he's brilliant going the key for you for winning that one I think key was never giving in uh the fitness was key the substitutions making an impact you always ask your substitutions to make an impact and there we saw an impact from adinga to the back post okay Pedro was there but I think all substitutions today made an impact geino coming on I thought he did very well bber thought was excellent when he came on draw obviously the club's commitment to moving forward and getting a top six position hopefully and then challenging for Europe again so you know we've got the squad now to really build on this great start of the season and I think we're in in for a very exciting season if you if you stand still in this Premier League you know you know what happens don't you you think you you you've got a good enough Squad will'll be okay this season before you know you can get relegated so the shaman seen out he wants to get back into Europe he's had a taste of Europe and so you have to bring probably better think is that you the clb's recruitment record so far about bringing in players uh and then them obviously proving their worth and then you know the worth a lot more L I think we just have to have to believe that all these players that are coming in in you know the positions that they're coming in they're going to be great potential for the future and uh you know at the time that's needed when they need to be you know be in the starting 11 that they'll be ready to play their part but all in all I think we we're in for a really exciting season and you can't wish for a better start than six points well if you think the first pass of your answer there was you not heard of these players coming in right then did we uh did we know much about Mata when he came in probably not B Hecker did you know about him no Mina no Pedro no so the players who come in yes they they're probably well known in in German football or whatever the countries are come in from it's just like we're probably too lazy to watch German Football Italian football Spanish football there are some gems in there at the right price so is good if you look at Sampson's policy this season they've gone to paying 50 million pound for the likes of uh the the the lad from two two players from from who played for cheff United last season what happened to cheffer United last season they got relegated so why would you go buy a Cameron Archer or uh and the other lad they got uh who was on loan last year you w go you want tou them because they weren good enough for chel United so they're not going to good enough for samon I don't think so there's a problem there so for me I think we' we've we've got in the market very well but sometimes you still have don't forget we we we've recruited over 40 million uh with a gross and undav uh so and I think there'll be a few more leaving the the the the squad uh in the next 10 days so we'll see how much we can recoup it's okay we're spending lots of money but we're recouping a bit as well and we're sending players out on lawn to good clubs like barau to the Spanish side yeah I think you're right we we isn't probably the last of the activity we're going to see but I think we just have to rely on the fact that I say our recruitment team have got a fantastic record for going abroad picking up as you say players at a reasonable price from overseason then obviously you know
