Election day, less than two months away. Now, in a new poll giving us a better idea of how Texas voters feel about the race for president. Now that President Joe Biden has dropped out of the race, the University of Texas and Texas politics project poll surveyed 1200 registered voters in Texas last week. 49% of them said they would vote for former president Donald Trump. 44% said they would vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. The rest of the people that were surveyed said they were either planning to vote for someone else or they hadn't thought enough about it to have an opinion. It's a change from the Texas Politics project poll in June when 46% of those polled favored Trump. 39% back then favored Joe Biden. Now, back then, 15% of voters either wanted to vote for someone else or hadn't thought about it.
