you know she's just a I don't know she just does it all she's she's in the middle of a run that sometimes you know I want to shake her and say do you even know how good you are but then I don't want to shake her because I don't want to wake her up she can just stay in whatever Zone she's uh she's in and I I think that one of the the most beautiful parts of her game is just how easy she makes it look uh I'll be watching her but she says she feels good from here ABC what what do you see is most improved about this Indiana team you faced him early in the season twice what you see most improved in this SP probably just the chemistry with each other we're starting to trust each other um you know they really put PE five people on the floor that are threats especially with that starting group um I think Luxy Hall knocking down shots at the rate that she is adds definitely another element of um what you can do defensively uh but they chemistry they're growing up the game is slowing down it looks like for for Caitlyn um the game is slowing down but she's speeding up that makes sense so um yeah I just think um you know they get up and down the court faster than probably anybody and with the scoring um threats that they have they they've learned they can all make each other better talk a lot about Tempo you try keep up with that how you try to counter that um just try not to give up layups that's the biggest thing in transition they're going to play fast we know that um I I think our efficiency offensively needs to be a help Defender for us defensively um to bias that second to to be able to Sprint back uh defensively but she plays at a high clip they they play at her Pace um your point guard really predicates your pace and she gets she goes so um you better go with her if you're on her on her team um but I I know you know playing with a guard that can pass like that is a lot of fun back of the room t-shirt people um as condition good that's what she said was there a conversation of possibly holding her another game yes there was and I told her we just communicate through it see how she felt um and that's what we did white te is here yes you guys are wearing white teeth that's cute a I have a white tea under my sweatshirt all right I don't see any oh yes I do hold on one second cie go ahead um coach Hammond I know that you're asked to talk about Asia and what she's doing this season a lot but just because the scoring record is is coming close like she's only uh 10 points away from matching the single season scoring record and she's close to having the League's first ever 1,00 Point season is that something that like if you could put it into context what does that mean you know like was that meaningful to you I mean it's it's uh I don't think you want to ever get lost on how good she is um and you need to enjoy the moment because it's historical and um just gon to say I said this last year if I played her whole game would I say Alexa she'd be averaging 28 and 13 maybe I overshot it a little bit but she's at 27 and 12 or something um because her efficiency these last few years um and I don't know somebody can look up the numbers but I know I've played her more minutes this year uh simply based on we haven't played as well this year and so you know she's played full game she's played in probably all of our fourth quarters for the most part um you know she's just a I don't know she just does it all she's she's in a middle of a run that sometimes you know I want to shake her and say do you even know how good you are but then I don't want to shake her because I don't want to wake her up she can just stay in whatever Zone she's uh she's in and I I think that one of the the most beautiful parts of her game is just how easy she makes it look um the things that she's doing is not easy they're un Diana said it perfectly like they're Unthinkable what she's doing um so really fun to watch the best player ever to like coach she's just uh she's super human um and a super human being I mean obviously um her teammates adore her she does things the right way she includes everybody um she's just a phenomenal leader in person just to follow up on that I've seen some people refer to to what she's doing and like the pace that she's at is like one of the single greatest Seasons we've seen in WNBA history would you say that that's over like is that accurate of a description greatest single season in WBA history yeah I mean I've been watch I've been in the league since 99 [Music] um I can't recall a better season by an individual um so yeah I would I would say single grest season yeah I really haven't put it like that but yes Kevin Walker from po mus we ask Mar question a who team a what where you from voice of muskee it's in Iowa right voice of mustine newspaper mustine is a place it's small town I have nothing yet small towns I'm from a small town how was Mar rest this year as we get to the end of this even how have you seen her progression uh you know uh what game was it she got she got injured I think that Chicago game right before the break so she's kind of been working her way back um look we kind of threw her right in the fire at the beginning um I think she's been playing great she's constantly learning um and constantly getting better she's going to always get little opportunities but like I told her you know just in the position that she's in there's some nights you may not see the floor and there's other nights you might play 20 minutes um her job is to stay ready keep a great attitude keep being a great teammate that she's become beloved for um and good things will happen you know I told her my my rookie year I think I played maybe three or four minutes a game um and what you want to just be doing is make sure you're improving every day and and she has a great work ethic she has a great feel for the game um she has a great group to learn from so uh we're going to keep you know throwing her out there at times and um she's going to sink or swim but most the time she's swimming yep about Jackie young real quick how was Jackie's experience really paid off these late season games in particular how was her game evolved with the experience that she's had Jackie young um I mean she's been good for us all three years really I mean um you know I think she does so many little things that you know very easy eily at the end of the night you're like oh Jackie had 15 seven and eight like um she does so many little things that impact winning for us um but just her assertiveness like her mindset I think is the is the greatest thing that's grown um not just from this year but just uh since I've been here um I rely on her I demand of her that she does she's like a she's got like a mini Asia job you know she got to put up 20 and and guard the other team's best off def player so uh we put a lot of responsibility and playmake I mean she's had a game this year where she had 14 assists um she can really do uh she's a Swiss army knife she can do whatever you ask her to do um man I guess she just gets keep keeps getting sharper did you catch that Alexa she keeps getting sharper she's a Swiss Army thanks a lot coach let's go get ready for the game
