Georgia Bulldogs vs Clemson Tigers | 2024 College Football Prediction

Intro what's going on guys this se4 here and today I am back with yet another college football prediction video as you guys know that previously I talked about the Notre Dame of fighting Irish going on the road to Face Off to the Texas A&M agies on Calle field last week or a few weeks ago but today I'll be talking about the Clemson Tigers versus the Georgia Bulldogs August 31st of 2024 I believe this will be the first game of the season 4 the two and this will be a pivotal game for both schools but mainly I believe in for Clemson because this is a Do or Die mode I guess in my opinion for this year because uh Davos Sweeney may could be possibly on the hot seat we may never know but Davos Sweeney basically is Clemson it may Clemson and I don't think he'll be on the hot scene yes they struggled last year they went 94 they had quarterback issues last year and uh so it didn't really pan out so well for them they did go 9 and4 still if I I mean I'm a UNC fan I like I would like to have a 9 and4 season but uh yeah but um but yeah this last year was just chaotic for Clemson they lost to Duke first game of the year struggled or C Club Nick struggled a lot and they they fumbled a lot they turn turned the ball over their offense wasn't so great not trying to like just drag Clemson but they still had a good season uh as like a down year season but this year it's All or Nothing should be all or nothing for Clemson they should be make make some big moves this year but the only thing they didn't really do was go after anybody in the transfer portal Davis Sweeny had some comments about that uh Georgia on the other hand they Georgia got screwed against Alabama last year and of course they lost in the SEC Championship and so they got kicked out of the playoffs and uh there that it is what it is and of course now the playoffs are expanded and so let's go ahead and go through uh and begin my slideshows as you guys can see the previous games that trying to do like slideshows trying to get stats news just Etc if you guys like this type of format let me know in the comments below and uh also please comment down below what I need to work on with like talking about different scenarios or teams or just in general as well okay so last Last Year season as I guys as you guys know that I talked about Clemson went 94 4 and4 in ACC struggled this year six in ACC but they did beat uh Kentucky in a bowl game the Gator Bowl 3835 that was a wild one uh for sure and of course Georgia they went 13-1 80 to SEC East uh they dominated this year was looking to go back to back to back in the NAT but of course they lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship and then uh Florida State got just dogged in the uh playoffs because of course their quarterback got hurt but I mean that whole situation was stupid they they wanted Alabama in because Alabama beat Georgia and of course Texas beat Alabama and so therefore Texas won the SC championship and then now them two were in but which realistically they were the probably two better teams but Georgia just made a statement and destroyed Forida state but Forida state did not really have all their stars in of that bll game because that bll game really didn't really matter anymore because of course the playoffs are now what's mattered so yeah that was Orange Bowl um but still I mean 63 to3 is just embarrassing all right so Last Meeting the last meeting was I think it was in at Clemson or was it at Clemson or was at Georgia Georgia won 10 to three it was a slow it was a very very low-scoring game very defensive game I think it was at Clemson uh on September 4th of 2021 so not too far away three years ago and I think yeah I think it was at Clemson if I don't recall but I think it was anyways okay so basically this is Georgia's home and it's kind of weird that they played it at Atlanta when they could probably just play at Georgia in my opinion at Mercedes Benz Stadium Atlanta Falcons basically it's GE Georgia Bulldog 2.0 so it's kind of like home field advantage uh regardless of like where it's located so it's kind of weird that they put it at um Mercedes Coaches Record Benz Stadium okay so coaches record two great coaches in my opinion Davos Sweeny has basically brought Clemson out of nothing irrelevancy clemsoning and of course he's 170 wins Total with 43 losses total pretty pretty incredible with 103 wins in ACC and 23 losses in ACC with 17 Seasons two time national champs not in a row but two times as a head coach so basically he's made Clemson to be a top dog with Trevor Lawrence Desa Watson Hunter winfro all the greats uh from that those squads and of course for defense as well and Kirby Smart uh can't who went left Alabama uh to become the head coach of Georgia has done a great job it's already been eight seasons really holy crap that's crazy time just flies by so 94 uh wins Total 16 um losses 56 to uh and N total in SEC a lot of people I myself I'm going to call myself out I thought he was going to be like another Mark Reich or Mark Mark Rick or something like that yeah I thought it was going to be like another Mark Rick where like they have all these good teams and they just can never beat Alabama but of course it went back toback national champs and uh so yeah really good head coaches here um kirry smart has done an excellent job at Georgia and I think they're going to go back again possibly but this time it's going to be different because it's a 12 team playoffs so let's see how all this pans out for this upcoming uh postseason Transfer Portal all right so the transfer portal news this is crazy to think about if you guys see on the screen right here that uh Clemson had zero players transfer in this year Davos Sweeney I think is against the transfer portal he's against the nil so he's like the old school type of Coach but I mean it is what it is it is what it is I mean he's won so he he can back himself up but the last few years they needed to go after a quarterback because K kumnick in my opinion was not not it and DJ U longlay still not it as well so they should have gone after a guy like cam Ward or somebody that was actually really really good uh for transfer pter but no no players in the transfer portal but 12 players transferred out notable players leaving we got fourstar DB Toriano Pride to Missouri fourstar wide receiver Bo Collins to Notre Dame fourstar safety Andrew M mukuba to Texas okay so Georgia Georgia Transfers we had they had 25 players transfer out which is crazy nine players transferred in notable players transferred leaving five-star defensive end Marvin Jones Jr that's pretty pretty big for them uh I would say significant loss uh five-star quarterback Brock Vandergriff to Kentucky um I think I said Marvin Jones to Florida State notable players transferring in we have fourstar QB jayen rashada who was a coveted player believe for Georgia when Carson Beck will leave and he'll be the guy uh the next year the following unless he gets hurt or something like that too uh so forstar defensive lineman Xavier m m McLoud from South Carolina so not too bad they they got some key guys in the transfer portal but Georgia I believe will always be stacked no matter what in my opinion okay so for the comparisons I Comparisons like to do the quarterback running back wide receiver and also for defense defensive lineman middle linebacker or linebacker or defens defensive back which is all the different uh positions so we got K kumnick didn't really do so well uh this year we thought he was going to be like the the top guy but he still had an okay season as a seconde starter I went 290 with 454 completions two attempts uh 63.9% 2,844 passing yards 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions they did struggle with a lot of turnovers uh this year uh but running back will Shipley as you guys know has gone to NFL he was one of the key guys for this year's team but also Phil mafa who was a good running back had 179 carries 965 rushing yards average about 5.4 yards per carry uh 13 uh touchdowns really really good for him they should have ran the ball a lot more with him and will Shipley but they kind of had a basic offense for running back for running wasn't too it was kind of a stagnant offense in my opinion based off of what I saw of this year but you can also correct me for Clemson fan uh so wide receivers we got Tyler Brown who looks to be the key guy from last year to this year with 52 receptions 531 receiving yards averag about 10.2 uh per catch and four touchdowns uh as well all Top 3 Players right so the top three players for Georgia we got Carson Beck who had a great season last year uh was one of the top quarterbacks for this past season but I still don't think he'll be a elite QB maybe in NFL I could be wrong but I just don't he hasn't really moved me that much because I think that Georgia really doesn't rely on quarterbacks that much like the stessin Bennett he's like a plug-and-play type of QB but I could be totally wrong uh but I know a lot of Georgia fans will probably roast me for that but he went 302 to 417 completions to attempts with a completion percentage of 72.4 U passing yards 3,941 really good 24 touchdowns and six interceptions not bad at all really really really good for him uh running back TR Trevor etn I believe etn Clemson had a uh last name etn I think there were brothers I think he played for Clemson the running back um when it with uh Deshawn Watson in those years so he had H 100 he was from Florida so he transferred over had 101 131 carries 753 rushing yards 5.7 yards average and eight touchdowns so pretty good for him uh at Florida which sucks for Florida Billy Napier losing him because he would probably been a key guy from this upcoming season all right lastly we have wide receiver Dominic LoveIt who Brock Bowers as you guys know was the key guy so they they lose some quality uh tight ends and quality players but they still bring in a lot of players as well so I won't uh count out Georgia this year 54 receptions 613 uh receiving yards average about 11.4 yards average and four touchdowns as well so he'll be hauling in a lot of yardage and possibly touchdowns of this year if they do like a spread type Pro style offense and mixture with a uh with running back as well okay so we have top three Defensive Players defensive players defensive line linebacker DB or defensive back we got TJ Parker uh defensive in had 33 total tackles 16 solo six sacks one force uh Force One fumble recovery and one pass deflection we have a linebacker Barrett Carter with 62 total tackles 37 Solo four sacks one fumble recovery one interception and five pass deflections really really good for him so that's key for Clemson Clemson always had has a solid defense it's just their offense is never really on par like their defense but uh just the last few years um so yeah that's just my opinion defensive back we have RJ mickens 42 total tackles 28 solo one F recovery and three pass flections so they will have a good defense this year for Clemson okay we Top 3 Defensive Players have top three defensive players for uh Georgia we have defensive lineman n stack house 24 total tackles 13 solo two sacks one interception and one pass flection we have linebacker uh SM SM mondan junor I can't pronounce that SM smel monden Jr if I pronounce that wrong please comment down below how I should pronounce that because that was a tough name to pronounce uh 68 total tackles me on the other hand I just pronounce I I can't pronounce a lot of players these names so I get a lot of flack for that but anyways uh we have 68 total tackles 42 solo three sacks and one pass flexing so really good for Munden uh pretty good for him all right we we got Malachi Starks for defensive back 52 total tackles 31 solo three interceptions and seven pass flections so that is a key player for Georgia so he's going to be a really good player uh for their defense next year so that's going to be a tough tough uh player to go again up up against for kick for this year of the game okay so now we go to Full Team Stats the full team stats this is offense for Clemson yards per game 42.7 yards per game passing yards 228.000 yards for rushing per game we have 174.000 and of course points per game 29.8 the run the running game was better in my opinion than the passing game of last year and so that there you have it for Lee Clemson's full team stats for Georgia Offense offense now we go to Georgia we have 4965 yards per game 35.3 yards of passing per game really really good and rushing per game pretty good as well with Clemson Defense 191.168 only allowed 278.15 yards allowed per game really solid in my opinion and only allowed less than 20 points per game which is pretty good for Clemson's defense like I said before the past few years their defense has been solid their offense has been shaky the last few years still have winning season but it's not on Clemson's like expectations like Georgia Defense they want to uh go to the college football playoffs and or or their bust okay so Georgia's defense uh we have yards allowed per game 295.27 7.7 not bad rushing uh yards a lot per game we have 117.5 really good and of course points allowed per game 16.6 uh points allowed per game so that actually is really really good so both defenses are solid I think Georgia has a slightly a lot better offense than Clemson all right so and before you guys Final Thoughts comment down below if I'm biased or not I am not a fan of either team I predict the scores I dislike Georgia I dislike Clemson um I dislike the SEC but I'm ACC guy but I think that Georgia will most likely win by minus 17 points because I think that Georgia is a way better team than Clemson I think that Clemson dabos Sweeney with not with with not getting a quarterback in the transfer portal I know a lot of Clemson fans are so tired of hearing that from the media and all this other stuff as well I just think that Georgia is a lot better overall in depth and just in Squad and just in general as well that I think that uh this is like a Do or Die mode for Clemson because if they can beat Georgia this will will settle all the is Davos Sweeney washed is Davos Sweeney this daav sweene that blah blah blah he's on the hot seat type of thing but Davos Sweeny needs to beat Georgia in this game in my opinion because he he's kind of on the verge of the hot seat but not really because he's pretty much may cson to be what cson is and uh so I'm taking Georgia in this one I think it's like the respectable one by minus 17 points because last time we all thought Oregon could potentially beat Georgia that didn't go well and of course Georgia is just really good but they did lose a lot of key players on offense so who knows we'll see this is just a way too early prediction video it's June so yeah comment down below what you guys think about this video
