Aaron Judge Not yet, not yet. We're still
getting there. Still got quite a few games left. Some big important game, some
big series, you know, we're going back and forth to this
division title. So we got a lot of work to put in and just got to keep it rolling.
What does it mean to you? Become just the fifth player to
hit fifty three times in a career, a great accomplishment, but
there's more to be done. We got this. Team's got a big mission in front of
them and I think we're all focused on that right now. You're pretty company standards
at home. So how was it when I was? I was pretty excited
about stands. It's a very few times you see, see
something like that and just the way he's been swinging the
bat. You know, we're so lucky to have him back after his
injury and he really completes his middle of the
lineup. So you know seeing so do a thing which I had a
front-row seat now for quite a while and then 44g to follow it up with 12 I
was I was pretty cool fails. We're changing for so no
to stay. Wait, do you hear that? And you almost
want to jump in and join in there. I do jump in, I do jump. But you know, it's the fans are
excited. They got every right to be and he's an incredible
player is done a lot for us this year and I think they definitely want to
see a lot more of that to come but it's going to be his
decision in the end and what's best for him and his family so we can only do it with can from the chance.
Well, you tried it talk to him at all talking to this day and I
know it's his decision and was your decision when you Chose to come back but we say to him hey this is a
pretty good thing to go. We got going here. Can we find a way to keep it
going? Yeah. At the end of the year, you know, when all
said and done and you know, season and when it
ends, yeah, I'll try to spend some
time with him before we leave and you want and Giancarlo ever
talk about going back to back to back, you know we really haven't. We kind of just try to let it
happen and see what happens and I we none of us go up there
trying to hit homers so for that for that to happen.
It's I guess we're all locked in, and
that moment when you want me to talk whenever day, you are being
talked about, you know, historically, how do you block
out the noise and keep the main thing, the main thing still got a ball game to play,
you know, I think that's the biggest and easiest thing
is, you know, we're all competing out there to win a
game. Doesn't matter who were playing, doesn't matter what you did or
what you've just done. You know, it's it's only something
special right when it happens. And once you hit home plate,
it's it's on to the next, you know?
So it's for me. That's what helps me to
stay locked in on the game. As okay? We hit a homer scored
around, whatever we did. Well now it's time to go play defense and
maybe I'll cheer on the next
guy. So just trying to stay in the
present, really, I was really surprised when you get something with the way. I mean, guys, gave you stay away
from you in certain spots, obviously, but as you have to
stay more disciplined or how do you how do you approach that? It's tough to say, you know, I
try not to think about guys pissing around me. You're not
giving me strikes, you know, I just tried to take
my walks and I can, you know, we have such great hitters
meetings in here and Jo really talks to us, about passing the
time, you get some to hit, you know, do your job to drive somebody in her get on.
But if you don't get something to hit, pass it to the next guy,
we got so many good guys in here with great plate
discipline, if you leave a mistake, they're
gonna do some damage. So I think just having that
freedom, that is not a long, not all on you personally,
really helps everybody. Go out there. Relax and do that. I hear your case 462 two years
ago, was a huge deal in baseball because Maris did it in 1961. Now you're on Pace for 463. In your mind. Is that something
to shoot for? I know winning comes first, get the playoffs
one of the vision that individually do you and your mind saying I I
can break 62. You ever think about that? I try not to. I don't think that really helps anybody if I try to
go up there and hit homers, you know, it's I got to this point, just trying
to be a good hitter and be a good teammate. So that's
what I'm going to try to do and I feel like if I do that, we can
look up in the ear and I think the numbers will be
where they're supposed to be, so it's kind of out of my
control, just go out there and do my job where they supposed to
be 70. That will see, will see you coming out for too many
curtain calls. You do get 24. Plasma was it about today that made you come out? I didn't want to come out until
loony. Told me. He kind of gave me the look and the not. So, I
went out there, but now the fans are pumped up, you
know, it's kind of hit a low layer in the
game for a little bit. We scored had the lead. They kind
of came back. They were down one for a While and, you know, for us to explode
there for a couple of runs, the fans were pumped out. So I
don't know what caused the curtain call and just do it for the fans. So, scary situation with young
brother. Yeah, it's you never like to see
that, you know, I'll run the bases but, you know,
immediately when you kind of peek back and you see him down
like that and you see the replay what happened as that's never good. You know,
we're definitely all hoping for for the best with Nick and we'll see, we'll see what goes
on and they got a tough job back there, man. It's it's not easy. You know, you got
both both benches yelling at you
throughout the game on balls and Strikes, you got to make
Split Decision, you got players mad at you, you're trying to do
your best and then kind of get squared up on the
side. Head with a bat. It's it's tough. So to see him your card off. It wasn't wasn't
easy, but it was definitely hoping for the best. Juan Soto It was fun. It was fun foam moment. He's gray is ready to see my
team is going like that, and going crazy and then I get the chance to see themselves when everything
is just you just cool. I just go every aspect. I'm really excited for that and
really happy for Joe. George and Saint had to talk to cash money. You hope you stay. I know it's gonna come down to money. Hey can you say this food that you've been here? Almost
before your now? Can you like you hope it works out. You
playing with jazz hands. Love you hear, you love New York, they hope it works out. I'll tell you that in spring
training where we going to be. We don't know. We don't know yet
the guys who will be happy to stand here that third one. I
mean, just you saw both judges second and stand. How big was it? And so I'm standing back to back to back. It was great. It was actually, I was with Verdugo talking about
another Homer and we just like hoping that he
makes one and stand again, capitalize it and write with He's winning be happening. We
just went crazy. I mean it is a great feeling man. When you see your name in the
lineup of those two D's ever think like that, may be a matter of time.
Before we do this, what you mean? Like it's like
maybe a better. Like maybe you guys, it's like bound to happen. Like
three of you at home, run for a row. See I mean, anytime
anytime I know how how much power those guys have.
So I got, I have to be the one who
started everything because because I know they could they
can Get it done and really quick and really easy. So definitely, when you see the
lineup like, that is just great. We talked about the game, I took that tried to talk to
everybody, you know, see how everything goes, you know, sometimes you try to
give them a little space, but you always try to find Any little thing that things
happen in the game and it did it seems that the picture has a
weekend. We can do that, Michelle, we
going back and forth talking and making sure we can do that. Miss judges on Pace for 63 with a April. We hit 190
something. What do you think? He's capable
of? That tells you, that it's not
how I star is how you finish and everybody was worrying about
him at the beginning. I was like, I didn't worry about no one bit. We know how much how great he's, you know, and it's like you say it's crazy to
see a guy that hit a homer day after day. That I mean it's
incredible. I think I never seen somebody hit. So many home are so
consistent so it's just great to have him
behind him. You think I'm
making, you think he could make a run
advances 73 someday, yeah, why not? I'm Hannah, he's
here. Preseason hitting 50 homers. I think he fits the guy if he's
a guy who can do it, it's gonna be him if he's any guy in the
league that it can do it at think it's going to be. It's I think it's really tough because even when you have the
power and everything to V so consistently barrel and launch
angle and everything, Go and fight fight. Find the right pitches to do it.
I think it's really impressive.
