hey Defenders welcome back to our Channel this is similar to the previous video I did regarding the Microsoft and crowd stri based it outage that happened across the globe it was one of the largest IT outages that has ever happened making countless Enterprises and uh small and medium scale companies suffer right now I am going to be talking about something that's very similar to what happened but this is not related to crowd strike yes Microsoft comes back again with another particular outage which impacts both Microsoft Azure cloud and 0365 which is Office 365 as well right so let us talk about this little more in detail come let's Dive Right [Music] In on July 30 approximately at 6:45 uh Indian Standard Time Microsoft reported a global age affecting a subset of its Azure and Microsoft 365 Services users experienced timeouts and difficulty connecting to various Microsoft Azure Services across the world initially the issue was reported to be just in Europe but it quickly became clear that the outage was not just around European region but also a global problem this particular outage impacted multiple regions but the most prominent ones are United States Canada Brazil Europe Asia Australia Middle East and India the network infrastructure in these areas was under warning status indicating potential disruptions yes if you go to status. microsoft.com right that is a health check or a meter check for the uh other services that Microsoft offers and you can see it all in just one page right so when you go to status. microsoft.com it says what all the services and what is the current status of the service right if you went and see there they usually have green red and orange as three different statuses you could see almost the whole page filled as a orange indicator meaning everything is partially down every service that Microsoft was offering is partially down which has something to do with Microsoft aure which means the cloud hosting provider so most of the services are hosted on the cloud services right so making the whole list of other services being in Orange alongside assure Microsoft 365 users reported access issues and degraded performance issues across various Services across the Microsoft ecosystem Microsoft identified this incident and marked it as m84 2351 Microsoft has tagged this particular issue as m84 2351 right so this is a code name that you can search on on the updates catalog page of Microsoft where it can give you a detailed information of why this happened and how it can be fixed as well right as per the last update Microsoft stated that they have implemented networking configuration changes and performed failovers to alternate paths to make sure this impact is minimized they reported some improvement in service availability but emphasized that the investigations will still go on if you are someone experiencing issues connecting to Azure here are some steps that you may want to take one you may really want to have subscribed for Microsoft Azure status page subscription meaning please keep a tab on the status page for Microsoft related subscriptions right so you can actually keep a eye understanding if it is a issue from your end or if it is issue from the service provider's end as such Microsoft Azure and 365 Global outage is clearly disrupted services from many users worldwide Microsoft is actively working to resolve this issue and restore full functionality as soon as possible so this is the second time this is happening in a row in a single week right and this makes us really concerned about what other service providers have to got got to do right and if you are someone who uses Microsoft and Azure related services please do write in your experience in the comment section below also if you think I should talk about any specific topic around this please do comment in the section below and if you like the content consider like share and subscribe thank you thanks for watching don't forget to subscribe for more Tech insights on cyber security
