I mean it's it's quite difficult when you run a full speed to stop on a dime um that's not something that's uh physically possible for a lot of men Mage it's not something as possible for me um and in situations like that I mean like I don't I don't know I don't know if that if there's any possibility that a 300lb man is going to stop within 2 feet of person running full speed can you take us behind your thought process on that play no absolutely as I was closing in on him I was like directly in line with him um and I was so close that I knew I was going to make contact with him um but I knew I also knew I wasn't going to get the sack um when I realized that I turned my head away from him to try to avoid contact head-to-head contact and um you know inadvertently made contact with his face mask and um which which is a penalty draw warranted a penalty um I think a dirty player you know malicious intent is a little too far uh especially for me I'm not that condom person I'm not that kind of player I don't see value and you don't gain anything from playing dirty um so I think that was that was a little too far maybe a little breous uh but I not not at all that I mean to try to hurt him intend to hit him in the head I genuinely believed I hit him in his chest I turned my head away from him so I didn't hit him in the head uh and you know it's a football play and some sometimes it happens when a president of a team is calling a player dirty uh I think naturally you influence the emotions of some people um and he can't control what happens um so I think it's really dangerous when you say things like that especially in the media um but we'll see we'll see what Saturday holds for us did you have a chance to like say anything to Zack after that play happened or was it kind of heat of the game or did you talk to him postgame right now no I haven't spoken to Zach uh I just see that he was taken off for a precautionary reason um I'm of course hoping that precautionary means that there's nothing wrong with him um and that he's okay I heard that he was taking first team reps this week so I'm glad that he's back on the field I think in this situation the right thing to do the safest thing to do was to turn my head to avoid head-to-head collision and and you can see on film that I did pull up I did not follow through with the hit like it what it didn't feel like I know how strong I am I didn't feel like I gave him much power um I felt like I reduced as much power as I could you can see me kind of Throw My Hands away from him I jumped over and rolled uh I thought that was the safest way to finish that play um it obviously was hot so Miles what's it like for you to kind of face this kind of stuff like public criticism from the president and then us even asking the questions like some guys might not do that but you're standing up to it I I assume it's a part of the job um and I'm a job doer so I'll just do my job
