GENTILLY. ANUM, YOU'VE BEEN SEEING A LOT OF ENTERGY CREWS OUT THERE WORKING HARD TO GET FOLKS POWER RESTORED. I SEE THE WIRE BEHIND JESSE HAD TREE DOWN RIGHT THERE. IS THAT I ASSUME THAT AREA HAS NO POWER AT THIS POINT. YEAH, WE'RE ON PARKER AND PLEASURE IN GENTILLY. AND LET ME TELL YOU, IT IS A MESS. FIRST, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MASSIVE TREE. THE WIND TOOK OUT THIS MASSIVE TREE LANDING ONTO THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR'S CAR. BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE GOING ON HERE. IF WE PAN OVER YOU CAN SEE DOWNED POWER LINES. NEIGHBORS WHO LIVE HERE TELL ME THAT THE POWER LINES STARTED TO COME DOWN WHEN IT STARTED RAINING LAST NIGHT, BUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS NEIGHBORS SAY THAT SOMEONE DROVE INTO THE POWER LINE, STARTING A FIRE. RIGHT? MISS JOY, YOU SAW ALL OF THIS HAPPEN? YES. OH MY GOD. SO ABOUT 1045, WE HEARD A LOUD BOOM. AND SO I CAME TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND I SAW IT WAS REALLY DARK. ALL THE POWER WAS OUT. BUT I HEARD THE SPARK. AND THEN A POWER LINE WAS DOWN AND A TRUCK CAME DOWN THE STREET BLASTING HIS MUSIC. HE COULDN'T GO ANY FURTHER. HE SAW THE POWER LINE WERE DOWN, SO HE BACKED UP AND PULLED IN THE NEIGHBOR'S DRIVEWAY. AS HE BACKED UP, HE WAS PULLING ONE OF THE POWER LINES WITH HIM WHEN HE PULLED OFF AND THAT'S WHEN ANOTHER BIG SPARK CAME AND HE PULLED OFF REALLY FAST, AND THE WIRE CAUGHT THE GROUND ON FIRE. SO IT WAS A IT WAS CRAZY. IT WAS LIKE SPARKS EVERYWHERE. THE FIRE STARTED OFF SMALL, BUT THEN IT GREW REALLY LARGE AND I'M CALLING 911. THEY'RE CALLING 911. THEY'RE CALLING EVERYBODY THAT WAS OUTSIDE THAT SAW THIS WAS CALLING 911, AND THEY WAS LIKE, WE HAVE YOUR REPORT. WE'RE SENDING SOMEBODY. THEN IT WAS LIKE, ANYTHING CHANGE, CALL BACK. SO I CALLED BACK BECAUSE THE FIRE HAD PROGRESSED. I WAS TRAPPED IN MY HOUSE. IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE SPARKS WERE SPARKING, LIKE TO MY CAR. I WAS AFRAID, I WAS SO SCARED. I WENT TO THE SIDE DOOR TO TRY TO GET OUT THE HOUSE. SO I'M STILL ON THE PHONE WITH 911 AND SHE WAS LIKE, WELL, GO OUT ANOTHER DOOR. I AM OUT ANOTHER DOOR. BUT I CAN'T PASS BECAUSE IT'S STILL SPARKING. I'M NOT TRYING TO DIE OUT HERE. SO SHE WAS LIKE, OH, THE CALL WAS CANCELED BECAUSE IT'S A HURRICANE AND WE'RE NOT COMING. SO WE ALSO HAVE VIDEO TO SHOW YOU GUYS OF THAT FIRE. IF WE CAN SHOW THAT REAL QUICK AND THEN THAT FIRE ACTUALLY LEFT A MASSIVE HOLE ON PAUGER STREET, IF WE CAN ZOOM IN AND SHOW SOME OF THAT MESS, YOU CAN SEE JUST BLACK THICKNESS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. HOW ARE Y'ALL GOING TO DEAL WITH THAT? WELL, THANK GOD ENTERGY CAME THIS MORNING BECAUSE WE WERE WAITING ACTUALLY IN A CAR ON THE STREET FOR LIKE AN HOUR AND A HALF BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY'RE COMING AFTER THIS NEXT CALL. I SAID, WELL, IT'LL PROBABLY BE IN THE MORNING. SO WE DECIDED TO GO BACK INSIDE AND TRY TO WAIT TILL THE MORNING. THANK GOD THE FIRE DID GO OUT SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT. BUT OUR NERVES ARE BAD AND FRAZZLED RIGHT NOW. WE CAN'T EVEN SLEEP SO. BUT WE WERE ABLE TO GET BACK IN THE HOUSE, WHICH WAS A GOOD THING. AND THIS MORNING, AS SOON AS I CAME OUTSIDE, I SAW ENERGY. I WAS LIKE, THANK YOU, JESUS. YES. THAT'S GOOD. WE HAVE A LOT GOING ON. IF WE CAN PAN OVER HERE TOO, WE HAVE A TREE COMPANY, WE HAVE ENTERGY HERE. ENTERGY TELLS US NOW THAT THE SUN IS UP, THAT THEY'RE GOING AROUND THE CITY IN GENTILLY HERE, THERE'S OVER A THOUSAND PEOPLE WITHOUT POWER. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE DO HAVE UTILITIES CREWS HERE.
