Brian Snitker talks Max Fried injury | Atlanta Braves updates

Listen, what can you tell us about when the max felt this and, uh, how severe does it seem? He felt it when he was doing arm circles before he pitched at the All Star game? These guys just kind of get loose and he felt a little something and he pitched and, you know, he got through his inning and all then I think he, when he came in here Friday, you know, it was still, he could still feel something so he wanted to get it checked out. So, um, they did the MRI and all that, you know, it's probably a best case scenario. I mean, he's gonna have to miss a little time but nothing showed on the MRI or anything and it's neuritis and, um, you know, they'll just put him down until he's asymptomatic and then he'll start throwing again. I Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I was just, I mean, nothing major or anything like that. So, but it's, you know, enough that it's, you know, you're gonna put him down till he's asymptomatic and then he'll start throwing and hopefully it's just a brief il stent to ask for elaboration on this. But if you describe as living. Ok. Yeah. Well, just something in his forearm or, um, I don't know, he, he'll probably be able to describe, describe that better than me. Um, but, you know, it was enough that I think it, you know, when he came in Friday it was like, you know, you want to get in front of it and make sure it wasn't anything. And, um, so the MRI S and all that were good, but, you know, it's enough that you're not gonna continue to try and push through it. I'm sorry, now you got it Friday. Yeah. Yeah, I think so because I think, you know, it's obviously it scared you or alarms you, you know, so, and I said that's why he wanted to get in front of it and make sure it wasn't any, you know, anything big or, um, but, you know, it's enough that they want to shut him down for a time and I say once he's asymptomatic then he'll start throwing them again and hopefully that sooner than later the strong you said you talk about, uh, I, you know, I don't think it was enough to not, you know what? He's just kinda like do the arm circles they feel, I mean, the arm never feels great, you know. Um, I don't know, but then you could ask him that for you personally, was it, you had to deal with a lot of injuries in the season, which is just part of the, that he was an all star. No. No. Yeah. Absolutely. That we feel, you know, I'm glad he said something and, and, you know, I think he's been around long enough now that you're not gonna leave any stone unturned. And, um, but, you know, but I say it was probably the best news out of the MRI that we could get. That was why he did the, he didn't have any pitch today, obviously. Yeah. Well, we just, you know, push shell back and, and, you know, because you get a guy like Bryce in here and it's kind of a freebie, you know, I was a 27th man. Yeah. Yeah, he's just, he's, uh, he's length, you know, today and, you know, till we use him up, I guess. Yeah, all those options will be open. He's doing ok. He's doing ok. Yeah, I haven't heard, you know, I haven't heard a lot. Um, but, you know, he's been up here, he's experienced, he's kind of, he's coming along in his career. So he's kind of the next man up. Pretty much. You've made it, you guys come out of your way to keep those other guys healthy at extra rest and all that. And max has to make sure he, it, it, you know, what, all that extra rest and all that's really good. But if the guy's gonna, something's gonna happen, it's gonna happen, I think regardless. But we're gonna do everything we can to, you know, to check that box to try and give these guys extra rest to get them through. Yeah, I know. It's, yeah, I don't think that that had any bearing, you know, the fact that he pitched and he was on five days, you know, he was fully gassed up and everything they could have, it could have been something that probably might have been worse that if he'd have went out pitched today did that and felt it warming up in the bullpen and then all of a sudden we had to bang him. So this, you know, if it's gonna happen, this might be the best scenario the way it could happen as far as us as a team. Uh, no, just day to day. Uh, you know what, I haven't, I haven't had a chance to even look at the game reports yet from yesterday. Um, there's just been too much else going on. So, but I think, you know, I didn't hear anything bad, which is good. So obviously he came through it, well, and there wasn't any physical issues. That's all, you know, as we get him built up as long as there's no physical issues and that's gonna be good. I, I know it's really good. Um, I mean, even if, I guess he played third base the other day, he made a couple of really nice plays and, and I've seen highlights of some of the plays at shortstop. I mean, it's just, yeah, so that's good, you know, glad he's down there doing well. Ok.
