field to get that interception it was almost a pick six and was even more special to have your baby daughter in the stands for your first game for UCF oh it was really exciting just being in the Bounce House felt real amazing being back here you know I came here a couple times before but uh I feel like this was the best one yet so far um having my daughter in the stands is a blessing you know um just made me get more motivated made me go harder and the P just it just came to me he stared me down the whole plate and I just made the right decision gu really stressed you guys this fall Camp how did that kind of maybe benefit you guys in this game U him putting a lot of pressure on us is just you feel me I believe that's what a coach is supposed to do um you ain't got a lot of stress on you then we're going to push you to go harder you know Sean first of all congratulations of course and um with all the transfers you among them to have a big play tonight what's kind of been the key for you guys to kind of settle in and get in in sync with this group what is what is unque thing here around here that's gotten it to you can perform here in game one uh ID say uh us being Brotherhood it's a Brotherhood here um there's nobody that's left behind you know nobody get talked down on so we always upkeeping some brothers you know um that's just a lesson to be around something like that you know not a lot of teams it's like that what was better about this defense tonight than you saw during camp we play against somebody else more aggressive H you know get to the ball turnovers um we need a little more turnover we got punch the ball out get for fumbles this time next week uh that's we emphasize on this week so you got your interception BR end up getting two tackles for for a loss youve OB to have a lot of experience across College what was like it seeing BR and get this experience in his first game as a soft man I told him I said man go out there and just ball you know feel me don't leave nothing out there it's payday got to go get paid just seeing him execute as a like a veteran lesson you know um just so we know we ain't got to worry about his position so yeah how are you handling the responsibilities of student athlete and new newborn father I really haven't did anything yet but see just two weeks so I'll be for the next two weeks and I get back to that question the show it been like just fitting into this defense obviously it's a new school year a new player here but there's a lot of kind of players like yourself a lot of transfers with experience new coordinator too what's it like just kind of working with this defense and how good do you think you guys can be this season be a great defense number one defense in the country if we just execute and play together as one um like I said we got emphasiz on turnovers 11 men to the ball me guys got being in the right spot got your keys and communicate out you a communicating old defense so that's what I'm saying on that point what what kind of statement did you guys make as a defense in your opening game one time what kind of stat we going get the ball um we W turn over the statement we say Savages I say Savages everybody was at the ball today make a couple plays made play on the ball today got interception he had I had me one just play to last one for stepen here obviously you you had a big first half the young guys kind of then what you notice from X and Andrew I know they had a couple big heads uh I'll say they they learned feel me coming from camp we thought they was going to be a little shaky out there but uh you know they went out there and executed at a high level and I couldn't I can't be more proud of good stuff appreciate thank you Des
