all right appstate Clemson Clemson 17 and a half Point home favorites 53 of the total I'm on appstate here and I know App State didn't look pretty last week at all believe it or not against an FCS opponent was not a great performance but honestly from appstate or from uh agular uh the quarterback for app state was very uh underwhelming to say the least the way they played in that game but I'll tell you right now with uh appstate I think they're better than they showed in that game and I have no idea what to expect from Clemson all I know is I'm okay Taking My Chances fading them as 17 and a half Point favorites with that pop gun offense they've got right now and I know it was Georgia right obviously one of the top teams in the country and you got to expect Clemson to play a little bit better here but when you have expectations of being better especially on offense and you have expectations to compete with a team like Georgia and you get absolutely manhandled and and eviscerated like that 34 to3 and Dabo was talking what he was talking like after the game he looked like a beaten man he actually sounded beaten down for the first time uh dbos Sweeny after that Georgia loss last week there's no way I'm laying 17 and a half with Clemson here uh in this spot now I know uh appstate at times they've been Jackel and Hy in these step up and class games if you look at it in the past they've had some games where they've got absolutely crushed you know by some of the power teams that they've had to face if you look at last year you know there was um couple of games that were ugly but I will say this they had the North Carolina game uh in overtime they lost by six uh they showed they could be competitive there uh in that game uh they took they only lost by two North Carolina the year before uh the year before uh two seasons ago and they had a 18-point dog upset win on the road against Texas A&M two years ago appstate went to College Station beat A&M 1714 uh September 10th 2022 uh as 18-point dogs so there's actually more good than bad when we've seen App State Step Up in class getting points as a big dog against F you know power five compet power four competition outright upset against A&M two years ago as 18-point dogs a cover in a two-point loss to North Carolina two years ago and a cover in a six-point loss in overtime to North Carolina last year you put it all together yeah App State or nothing for me in this point spread range what do you think here CAC ah yeah it's this seems like app State's going to be in this game or they could maybe get their ass kicked and it's a decent cover for Clemson but I came back here's the thing though people said Florida State in a great bounceback spot last night how did that go oh yeah well yeah not me that's got what happened to Florida State Monday night on Labor Day against Boston College has me less interested in Clemson in this game for a bounce back oh for sure and they're just going off the only thing they can hang their hat on a little bit is their defense which played well in that first half you know then got away from him Georgia just you know pounded him and that was the problem of course they're facing Georgia but that offense we talked about last week with B it did it all last year this team struggled they struggled to score points uh AB State not the best defense so they should be able you know score some here uh I like nap State too I mean Joey agular can he do enough you know Robinson he's got a pretty good wide receiver they got a ground game uh I think he could be in it too like I I don't really want to go even with Clemson back at home and L 17 and a half in this one at all so I agree with you here you know I think this zap state or nothing Clemson's got a win with their defense and is that blowout fashion I don't buy it not yet at least you know I got to see more uh they do have to shore up the run defense a little bit app state that would be the one little area I'd be concerned about they've had some problems andson rushing yards bill mafa is a hell of a running back that's one of the strengths you could say of Clemson's offense is their running back Phil moff is pretty good but where are The Playmakers at receiver I mean brinning stool's okay but he shouldn't be your second receiver I mean Tyler Brown and Antonio Williams are okay but there's just not a bolt load of great wide receiver and we've said that now for a few years about clemon you know this is a a program that was growing these phenomenal receivers year in and year out and you just haven't seen it as much here the last couple all right
