another day in another practice officially in the books under the belt for Deshawn Watson and the Cleveland Browns in this video we're going to discuss all the news notes highlights observations from today's practice how they looked in 7 on sevens how they looked in 11 on 11s and some guys who are starting to stand out for the Cleveland Browns however before we jump into the video like we always do I want to give a massive shout out to the Browns media members out there right Fred Green Mary Kay Chris easterling and there's so many more out there Zack Jack Jackson so many do me a favor and follow them on X because I guarantee you you will not regret it they work so hard each and every single day getting these highlights out getting these notes out and kind of enable us to make these videos and you know without them these videos are not possible to make so go ahead follow them you will not regret it with that being said let's dive into the video now Watson did start off five of five to start team drills and he looked really good four of them was down the middle of the field and then we had Watson launch a touchdown to Matt Landers for a big time touchdown on the first play with the second group now also I should have started off by saying they had walked through early this morning it was supposed to be really rainy really stormy so Kevin St stefansky decided you know what we're going to go through walk through and in in the morning and then move practice all the way to 2:30 which is why we're having a late drop for this video keep in mind um but really strong day overall cleaned up the field got back out here around 2:30 practiced for like an hour and a half almost 2 hours and the offense started to look really good in 11 on 11 deshun Watson completed balls to Amari Cooper Elijah Moore twice which is really good remember Jerry Judy has not really been in the offense he's been on the side working out by himself trying to get healthy here uh so he's not been working in but David Bell Cedric tman also getting some completions five of five again Amari Cooper had one Elijah Moore two receptions David Bell and Cedric Tilman really good 11-11 period there for desha Watson want to see that continue to happen now um the very first play was a sack and then he went 55 probably should have started with that but really good job uh getting the ball out quick taking what the defense gave you uh for desha Watson and he did that pretty much throughout the entirety of today's practice uh defense probably won the seven on seven period they made a lot of Big Time plays including some sacks some pbus uh some big time breakups but overall when they got to 11 on 11s it seemed like the offense just hit a stride hit a hit the uh you know the stride of just taking over practice and that's kind of what they did um you know and again unofficially was three of nine during the the seven on seven period there was one likely pass interference against Emerson so I guess you can probably discount that three of eight potentially uh but there was some opportunity or or some play specifically where Deshawn Watson just held on to the ball a little bit too long or stayed in the pocket too long we want to see him get outside more use his legs to extend plays and get the ball out quicker right go through your progressions and make sure that the defense is not making you uncomfortable because that's what they're going to do especially here in Cleveland you got guys like zarius Smith and Miles Garrett you're going to get pressured you're going to and the most important thing in football is staying conservative with the football and making sure you're not making any ilevis throws we also got to see J and uh Jordan Hicks taking the majority of the first team snaps at linebacker but Devin Bush was not far behind as well as Nathaniel Watson as well these are two guys they're really high on uh but obviously need to continue to work back now two players back at practice today Mike Hall and Dean Jones absolutely huge they were practicing today Mike Hall is a guy who's going to have to step up now that dvin thomasson's on the pup list I expect Mike standouts Elijah Moore a couple of Big Time catches Deshawn Watson once we got to that 11 11 period seemed like he kind of guns to the swing of things remember Nick chub still on the pup list we're getting guys like Dante Foreman and Jerome Ford really stepping up for the unit um you know Amari Cooper is always going to be that Alpha here as long as he's here he's going to be that guy still waiting to see Jerry Judy uh see how he can do going forward David Bell's got some touchdowns over the last few days which is good defensively you always got to give a big shout out to you know Denzel Ward J and uh you know Grant delpit Martin Emerson these guys are just really really good really consistent and they're probably going to continue to be that way today wasn't a insanely physical practice hopefully we'll get some more ramping up here soon uh but during the Red Zone drills Watson threw four conse consecutive touchdowns it's probably the biggest portion of today's practice Amari Cooper caught one Cesar Tilman caught one uh daav nooku caught one and then Elijah Moore caught one as well the first one was a misfire on a fade route to Amari Cooper but outside of that Deshawn
