Phoenix Mercury majority owner Mat Ishbia, Diana Taurasi and Holly Rowe at new practice facility

hello everyone and welcome to W off our weekend this is one of first big events to things off we are so excited to be here I'm and I'm so excited to be here also that has be one of the greatest ever and we can already see the love and care that you put in to making this so speci yes please come up hi so this is a perfect way to start off a WBA weekend and here's what I mean by that this is an incredible facility for women as we continue to invest and grow and build for women they deserve facilities like this and we are so grateful that that's what's taking place we are joined by S stars and the phix mercury three of our Olympians including [Music] brne see lot F and family here which is wonderful now this is a stateof the art practice facility and certainly it could not have been done without your investment I know you wanted to welcome people to W outstar game but how can you do it in such a grand manner to be here thank you all for being here exciting exting day really for WBA so really honor to be here part of it and could be more excited to off okay so legitimately this was supposed to be done in 3 months from now and you said no it will be done for allar weekend I think that is so special um tell us what is some of the care that has gone into this because no one spends more time in the practice in Diana how did you two consult on what should be in this building to make it so special yeah well talk about some of the stuff but the truth is it should be everything that any active male or female would need to grow to build be the best they can be and that's what we're trying to make this you know this is speciically made more women um to make the best I think best facility in the world excited about it but doesn't get people like Paul [Music] R Great contract All City official [Music] eff like and all give their input to make this hopefully the best facility in the it it is so incredible and I I know that you haven't had a chance to see a facility until you practiced here this morning with the US national team your sixth time representing our country in the Olympics what does it mean to have a practice facility like this after 20 years in the lead but more importantly that someone is willing to invest in you the way you have deserved all these years I mean it's a I think it's an emotional B for a lot of people um and I see a lot of people in the crowd today that you know been for decades since the beginning um and I think I was talking to an excellent actually both used to practice at their arena there was a little dungeon went downstairs and that's literally what we had and fast forward 20 years to think about that this is probably the best facility in um in the world not only women and Men Sports too um this is what we love to do we give up our whole Liv for the game of basketball we sacrifice everything for this Le um and Matt and I have talk since day one his vision and what he thought he could bring to the women's game is this and you could have all the resources in the world but if you don't have the care Factor matter and matted from day one and then shows um with this facility I know literally no one spends more time in practice like you we talked about your routine to stay playing 8 hours and b sometimes it's not work what were some of the little details that you wanted to include so you can be at your best I mean it's just an amazing place where like mat said um when you get to this level you want to have everything want area in the training room to talk you know world class cheess massage rooms video coach don't use the video room too much um and when you have it all in one um it just makes you worry about the game which is the most important thing um and I can't say how beautiful this place is for not only for the Mercury but setting the bar as high as it can for the WBA and NBA thank you all right you are the greatest of all time your work EIC your passion your commitment to this game have been extraordinary you love it but you love the work and so it seems so F that a place to work is going it's going to Bear your name um you our across the globe in all around not only around is let not seconder to make sure that your name is forever more a place for world to work can I get all future past and present Mercury out here with please sop iess [Music] [Music] is going to help us out you're going to count down and is going to the count down 10 99 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 [Applause] 1 to mat the [Applause] [Music] cheers thank you all for being here enjoy yourself take a [Music] enjo [Music]
