Day With the Dean: Max and Sophia Beland ’24

win none of these athletes let me win [Music] well welcome to I think it's like our fourth  Day with the Dean this time we're taking a   different approach and today we're  with Max and Sophia Beland so twins the goal is to teach me something about your   experience here at Merirmack like  something that's meant a lot to you so Max you chose admissions ambassador all  right so Max this is what I did because we   wanted you to be able to pick a building  that you can show us how to showcase all right let's see Palmisano okay I think we can do this okay all right so let's take a walk  let's walk over there and check it out so this is typically the point in  the tour we would talk about your   academics generally at Merrimack and  then also since our tours are major   specific we would talk about a little things  specific to the School of Arts and Sciences if I were giving a tour I would  definitely talk more about the   Labs upstairs we have chemistry  labs and biology labs wet labs for me I was focusing more outside like one of  the things I love most about this building is the   location of it on campus I love like the view so  like when you are outside the bridge is probably   one of my favorites when students are walking  across it but also the proximity to the library   and then to the Sakowich Campus Center like the  Hub to me really is like the Hub on this campus Sophia when you think about your involvements  on campus what are you most proud of I'm definitely proud of my sticking with  joining the cross country and track team here the curved white line so like why  is mine farther away does it matter pretend like you have two weights in  your hands and so you're moving them and then moving what would you want to tell an incoming student don't procrastinate okay and how about you I mean I'm going to sound a little sappy but like   don't take it for granted I think  would be my biggest piece of advice one go oh Sophia don't let me go now you're going to show us the hurdle okay you have to like run and then just jump okay where do you both hope to go now well we are we're both going to law school at the  same school so we got three more years together so we're going to see whose hurdle jump is best are you ready go how do you think you did I was a little bit goofy but what do we think what do we think  you're going to still win I never win oh finally thank you thank you thank you
