MLB the show as inter league action for you this afternoon it's the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks first pitch coming your way next just about set to go now and today's starter Zack gallon the spin rate on the curveball is incredible hitters know they're going to see a lot of them today stay back be patient and hit the ball the other way all right ready to get underway now here's the Rangers DH Josh Smith Smith the line of the pitch bounce to the right Walker steps on first for the out and now we take a look at the Rangers lineup and the key to victory for them here get their starter some run support early o if they can get him that run support early it's likely the other team folds because they know how dominant he can be once he gets settled in so put pressure on that other team right away jump out to a lead early and a few runs it's going to feel like 30 that one hammer but pulled foul looked like you got a little excited on that fast ball got to think to yourself want to stay up the middle that way if you're a little bit early you hit it under the ball F you're the late and now this one's a rocket to right way back there [Applause] gone he'll take a jog around the bases it's one ZIP the brighter the lights the more he shines yeah this guy lives for big moments and right there made a statement Big Time power versus Power right there like two locomotives colliding who's going to win well a really good job there by The Hitter getting the Top Hand working power that fast ball out of here one down now it's Marcus [Applause] Simeon left field way back there out of [Applause] here they do it again and they add on it's two nothing sting first pitch fast ball and that's what he delivered he guessed right squared it up and he made it made it look way too easy back-to-back homers always a special feeling at the Ballpark especially if it's your team that does it and those guys get to slap hands at home plate this is the kind of thing that can really fire up a ball [Applause] Club Wyatt Langford stepping in for the Rangers line drive base hit right field so a man aboard now with one away that's now three hits in a row for the offense first pitch fast ball in a great spot to do some damage and he squared it up nicely Garcia next up for Texas adolis Garcia beled that one's back there and into the pool it's out of here he sends one out the opposite way their third home run of the inning and they add a couple more it's 4 nothing and that shot makes their grip on the lead even tighter it's like he's playing whiffle ball up there and that's typically not the easiest way to hit a home run to the slight opposite field into the Gap man making it look easy that's for [Applause] sure Joe manip gets the call from the pen bringing in the Lefty with the left-handed hitter Bullpen move right here so we'll see how it works out Nathaniel low up to [Applause] hit there's a swing and a drive that's back there that one is gone they go backto back and they add a run it's five zip backto back home runs and they keep adding to their lead welcome to the game first pitch out of the bullpen a tough one and you know he's just trying to get one in there for a strike and on the other side as a hitter it's a great time to be aggressive and Let It Fly it's not what they were looking for when they turned to him but now he's got to find a way to reset one out basee is empty here's the third baseman Josh Young and first offering is fouled off mantiply a former Allstar he features a sinker a curb a change up and he works in a for seamer that one pushed foul here's a swing and a drive left field and he knew it that was blasted to the moon and they tack on to their lead it's six nothing and with the six-run lead there fans that are starting to head to the [Applause] exits backto backto back home runs and these guys look so dominant right now a pitcher might want to check and see if he's tipping his pitches or not but I tell you what if this was basketball that opposing team would call a timeout to try to slow down this offense so one out nobody on Jonah Heim stepping in for the Rangers in the air right field makes the catch and there's two down on the mound Now Kevin GLE and with the big deficit on the scoreboard he almost has to just put that out of his mind every outing matters for relievers in their numbers but I think it's tough to get up for this type of appearance the same way you would for one in a close game highfly ball out towards left field gritch going back on this one didn't quite have enough they bring nine to the plate and six come around to score on to the bottom first it's the Rangers six and the Dbacks coming up in the desert and today's starter Nathan evaldi what do you have on him anytime you have five pitches to work with on the mound that repertoire can be a real weapon in terms of keeping hitters off balance man it's it's one of those things that I'm going to be looking for in this one does he have a feel for all of those pitches or is he just able to get one or two over in the strike zone where he wants now it's tough to do to be able to command all those pitches but if he can he is going to be very tough for the opponent today Corbin Carol in the box now no that one fouled off [Applause] goes down looking well I think that's a case of overthinking right there you got three straight fast balls looking in the 02 count just to pour it back headed down the line lford sizes this one up he's got it and there's two away Diamondbacks down to their final out and Jack Peterson stands [Applause] in there's a strike good looking fast ball right there surprised he didn't take a rip at that I think he got locked up a little bit two out space is [Applause] empty next offering in there for a strike that is strike two he's dealing with a great two hitter right here the strikeout is not automatic this could end it [Applause] [Applause] hard grounder into the outfield for a knock Joey gets on base and keeps it going and now it's Christian Walker the first B fast ball for a strike Walker [Applause] next offering right through there got him the ball game when you hit five balls
