so I posted this on my main account but a lot of people follow me here that don't follow me on my main so I came here to let you guys know the good news Lance and I won the West Virginia rise award for international overdose Awareness Day 2024 for the whole entire state if you're wondering what a WB rise award is let me show you WV rise award a peer recovery specialist who has consistently gone above and beyond in their dedication to the West Virginia recovery Community this individual should have demonstrated exceptional commitment compassion exemplary service and supporting those in recovery and people who use drugs their outstanding contributions and tireless efforts help save and Inspire lives daily in so many ways and we want to come say thank you to every single person that nominated us it meant the world to us that so many of you guys took 2 minutes out of your day to nominate us this award doesn't really go off of like votes it the nominations are categorized and ran through by the administr administrations who ran the event and they basically research each individual that's up for the award and they ask you know the people that nominate us they get a hold of a couple people and ask and they ask around the state and the town and they look into the work that we're doing to make sure that you know like we deserve this award and they said that because we are out on the ground boots on the ground doing the work and not behind a desk and that we're actually helping people that is the reason that we won this award we award a winning harm reductionist y'all for the state of West Virginia and I'm cheesing from ear to ear I cannot stop smiling it's so crazy so let me show yall some pictures we took some pictures with our award so enjoy and thank you guys so much we love y'all there's Lance holding both of our Awards Awards and we also got these t-shirts there's me holding both of our Awards there's Lan's award Lance Tate WV rise award International overdose Awareness Day 2024 and it's presented by the West Virginia drug intervention Institute and there's my award Megan Tate WV rise award International overdose Awareness Day 2024 it came in these really cool boxes so we wanted to come and share that with all of you guys because we cannot thankk enough for all the support all the love and for always accepting our support for other people no matter how radical it may be
