Pacific Crest Trail 2024 | Day 33/34. Wrightwood CA.

Intro day 33 waiting on the kids again [Music] uh today rightwood we're 8.1 miles away we're in town we're in breakfast we got to Hitch in when we hit the ban road but look at this salt and pepper shaker I'm a little Hur look at that and shoess got us a hitch his very first thumb out yeah first truck in it was perfect he's also wearing no [Music] Wrightwood CA pants I haven't filmed very much uh rightwood is a cool little town I just we've seen there's a bazillion people here we know everybody and uh that storm that we were in that we got we were in the elcone no the kahone pass in that we rode out they some of these people were already kind of up up this way about halfway up they got hammered so they all took a zero here just get dry and stuff so that worked out but there everyone's here at the same time now where you going [Music] day 34 uh we're still in rightwood this is the only other breakfast place they have so we've hit both well done um I can say this day has been um oh well like last year but really nice close to zero getting ready for bait and towel and I'm not talking about that I'm talking about this day has been uh interesting we're off today we'll head up to the base of uh whatever what is it B and pal B and pal and then tomorrow we go over that lots of snow one of us will probably perish be good for videos all right back at the grocery store it's kind of like a hangout area you see the picnic tables got a ride up back up to Trail but the guy can only take uh two people at a time so sent the kids up and uh actually only take enough room two people in one pack so I've got two packs in one person I'll go up next it's it's only like a 6 minute drive 7 minute drive up up back up to the trail so this a good little town though I like this place okay back up at Trail there's the guys there's the guys um this is a what do it say Tuesday yeah yeah day hikers up here potential potential Trail Visitor Center magic Okay so we've hiked almost a mile very tired and we're already at some place it's like a visitor center or something I don't know but um it's a short day so let's try and do a little time suckage here I wish this was where we were camping this be sweet so this has got bathrooms it's got a a whole center it's got plugins this is water um everything we don't need any of it really it's literally 0. n from where we started but we're going to visit anyway yeah know so we're headed down to a gap down here we're going to Camp down there it's a short short day like I said but that's ba and pal that's what we're going to climb up tomorrow in the snow snow and lots of zigzags lots of yeah switchbacks and there's a little tiny Trail uh that takes us to a very Peak uh which usually I skip those but I think this is a peak we want to hit and uh so we're going to go off Trail and it's a short off Trail so those those make it easy decisions just a 10th or two 10th or two probably yeah nice okay so this is the gap this is where we're going to find somewhere around here to camp tonight and then tomorrow morning we go up you just got to enjoy them's up dude so your foot's feeling better still got a little pain in it but uh so we've just been hanging Vincent Gap around here all afternoon it's been pretty fun talking to a bunch of people I'm met a couple of new people most everyone we know so this is the official sign for Vincent Gap where we're spending a lot of our life they're shoess I'll show you our campsite this is kind of fun we got the best one actually we kind of got the only one here's the parking lot only a couple people left just little bathrooms you kind of already saw this I need I need to put stuff but if you go over here this is what will go up today or I'm sorry in the morning I think it's is this it right here yeah so this fence and that is not us here we are hold on there we are right down there pretty good digs no wind there a few benches Sandman down here are you enjoying your come sit right here afternoon sit right here with no I'll sit over there with the kid same man's got new shoes the topos how are they working out working really good so far really good good to hear all right let's [Music] see it's pretty good TV this way over here there's the parking lot look down kind of got to go around here and there and then down to the tents there you go
