a great start we have such a busy schedule coming up so start I guess like this month at least with the win is really good um I think we played really well tonight and there was like moments again where I'm just like watching the team play like and I'm just like so amazed and I think that's so great and I think we have such a great starting lineup and then we have these Subs that come on and also do incredible and I think that's something that's like really exciting with the heavy load of games coming up we want to make sure that we have great bench as well as coming off so I think that was great um but yeah just really excited to be back back with the team since the Olympics ended and I know it hasn't been too long do you feel that things have changed for yourself now being an Olympic gold medalist and this has happened for 30 years with us players when they win their first major Trophy and all of a sudden they're elevated into that class of player do you feel that any of those changes have started to happen for you yet um I personally like don't really feel that different um I think like the only thing that really has changed for me is like getting like a lot more PR boxes which is really nice like I'm really grateful to be like sense up and stuff like that like I think that's really the only thing that's changed but other than that like I don't really feel very different pretty um obviously the big news of the week for the nwsl was the CBA what are your feelings about that particularly you know the fact that now everybody's a free agent um you know just what are your on it yeah I think it's really exciting um obviously when like we are given more power and say in our own future I think that's something that's incredible and for us to be like setting those stand standards I think is like really exciting so I think it's a great thing that's been pass and by setting standards what exactly I mean what part of the CBA are you referring to I me there obviously a lot yeah I think like a lot of things but like what you mentioned about like um free agency like all contracts are guaranteed no draft things like that where you're given more agency over your own life I think that's really important J with Gotham this team is looking up with standings at the moment as the r Champion it's going to get tight at the top obviously down the stretch we can all see that but given the depth of this team and its ability to go at teams both centrally with Rosen Yas Meine and wide with yourself and Crystal and Lyn as they come back and everybody else and brunia what do you think that's going to do for this team's ability to try to win a second straight title yeah I think that's really important to have depth um I think also with adding in the extra tournament that we have we want to make sure that we have that depth so that every game we able to give her 100% so I think like any good team it's not just 11 that win the league or like win the whole year it's all x amount of like players that we have on the team like everyone is so important and everyone's role may look different but like that doesn't minimize anything like we're going to need everyone on the team to win awesome any more questions Stacey is there something in particular that or or lesson or something that you feel like you could take from what you learned from the Olympics that you could bring with you as the nwsl season progresses um I think just when you have like games that shorten time I think the importance of recovery like I loved um I guess like observing and learning from the older players and like what they do to recover before games and I think like I want to take that information and like apply into my own life as we have like um a massive load like I mentioned of games coming up like I want to be at my best for every game so kind of like copying what they did for recovery and seeing how it goes for myself Jen can you about the kind of challenge of shifting from the international stage um back to the club environment and just kind of explain what that's like um I think it's like hard because I think I kind of like when I'm in the n in the national team environment I'm kind of just like in the national team environment so I think like maybe that transition coming back into Gotham I feel like I forget that like they've lived a life like without me there I'm like oh like time didn't just like pause and I'm not like just resuming it like it coming back so I think just like missing out on like lessons that they've learned from like previous games and like um just trying to jump in like as seamlessly as I can which like can be challenging and I think mentally coming off of a tournament a major tournament like that where you have a lot of stress like I want to make sure that I mentally recovered from that before coming back into the environment because like they deserve me at my best so I want to make sure that I'm always there at mentally at my best for them so I think like credit to like the club I think they gave me like a good amount of time to make sure that I was mentally back to normal like with
