stb is back spilling the beans podcast hopping in on the topic that we all have different thoughts and different motives and different beliefs in as far as outcome and as far as Shifting the big topic of Stadium renovation and the football only facility break ground um we'll go ahead and just kick this over to Big Daddy n to take it from here because he has some strong feelings about it compared to I believe the rest of us Big Daddy n Go ahead and tell us how you feel about the stadium Renovations in the football only facility they butchered my boy like The Godfather um no they uh I don't like what they did to the home sideline they uh they gutted that [ __ ] oh sorry you got I cut that sorry I did take two take two director you can say [ __ ] by the way it's okay I mean 50,000 seats that's a joke don't even get me started we need to be adding more seats not taking them away makes me sick well what's your what's your what's your reasoning behind you thinking that it's going to be worse rather than better to have a more luxurious area for people to come and watch games oh I just think that uh the fat cat and the the the corporate uh visits I think I don't think that they're true fans that will contribute to the home field advantage that's what I'm worried about the most and yeah they got fat pockets and we'll get more money but takeing decreasing the noise taking away fans now all ticket prices are going to be even more expensive and it's going to be harder for the average family of four say to even go to a game I mean less seats are going to be in more demand because we're good with more B so we need we need to be adding seats like the Bucks did with Tampa Bay with Tom Brady adding those seats in the endzone like what the [ __ ] that's what I think I agree with you with the the price point you know what I mean detrimental for a family of four sure yeah I get that uh wild here how you you're my target audience with that you are a family four so no one needs me no my personal we normally C 86,000 cut that cut that all right all right W how do you feel about it well we normally seat 86,000 if you're going to cut out 36,000 seats and have a a close range of 50 left that is a ton of income loss and yes you got the corporate seats and the big daddies I'm a dad I took my kids to the games it cost a fortune when I took you guys 20 years ago holy [ __ ] excuse me but what the hell I mean you know now it's $20 a beer or actually n $9 a beer which is nice they've added some stuff for the old guys and stuff like that but it could get crazy out there but Champions tearing the stadium is not a good idea right in the middle of the season they should have started this I don't know run it through the summer and and stop it and then open it back up somehow they should have been able to adjust this yeah I agree sorry well from what I understand the seating capacity is going to be diminished this season but when they finish the uh the renovations in 2025 the seating capacity will be in the 70s is that right well it was they've already changed it from like uh Wilder said 86 they actually when they did the Champions Club they dropped it down to about I believe it was like 78 80 so then they're going to drop to like 7 too something like that yeah we're going the wrong direction here I think that if um if Alfred wants to make the the the fans happy we need to extend the bowl or add another deck because we got to get back up to 85 at least I think that should be the goal as a stadium is to live in that 85 range I think that's a healthy number um without being outrageous there's still a lot of people there they can still get Revenue but they need to add more seats to it or or extend the bowl out or or add another deck up there CU 80 72 is just not enough in the peak didn't we have uh what was it like the choke and do or in the 9s didn't we have like 9,000 one game didn't it hit like 8990 that number somewhere we understand they're trying to bring in some more corporate big donors but come on the little guys like us seat and scream and holler and and hang with the team yeah I don't like it so so capacity right now is 79,000 so with the renovations they'll be down near like 72 not that's not that much yeah but you know you know all the all the big major programs they've added on what did BMA do they added on I mean that right yeah but that was that was that was 10 10 15 years ago the at all these stadiums now like I know what you're saying I know what you guys are saying but every single stadium and every single entity for college football and universities are going smaller they are doing this where they're they're renovating their stadiums to add um the club sections for you know the people that want the amenities with the indoor AC and the less lines of the pisser the nicer restrooms and the nicer bars and their nicer you know uh food stands and you know we we did we recently did this here in Jacksonville where I live uh for the Jag Stadium about like eight years ago and they took away seats but they actually made it feel more packed by taking the state the seats away they've expanded the uh overall capacity being filled in the stadium and I know you guys are saying like when you win everyone shows up but there's times when you don't win too and you need those corporate guys which I don't think that's the direction we're going but they need the money and at the end of the day those those Club sections are [ __ ] awesome what's Al going to do what's Alfred going to do at the end of the day when like the ticket prices Skyrocket even more because of this and then like families are being like hey we can't get tickets like what the [ __ ] we used to always come to games like you turned our [ __ ] season ticket seats into a [ __ ] box you know like what's what's going to happen is rich people are going to get them yeah I you know I think that um Clemson did Clemson do this recently relatively recently they renovated their stadium and added box seats and stuff like that and they have the exact same uh issue with what they did as what the what like big daddy n what you're saying uh about this like you're taking seats away from families and you're making you're pricing the the everyday fan out of coming to the stadium and to experience a game um just so you can accommodate the luxury boxes I'm sorry I'm not in the upper two or five% of income earners you Pricks but you know yeah but none of us are but who's to say that we would be in those seats anyways like you can still get an Endzone seat or a seat somewhere else I don't know I think the inflation's going to get so ridiculous it's like what Christian mcaffrey and his wife today they were talking about how they couldn't afford a box at the Super Bowl that's the [ __ ] Super Bowl and they sell they literally they literally sell those two corporations like8 million six to 8 million doll a box or some [ __ ] wow it's crazy no it was like three million or two and a half or I thought I thought it was more than that they just wer they weren't going to pay for it obviously oh oh cry a [ __ ] River Olivia kopo like who gives a [ __ ] oh well yeah the with those commoners no no no yeah like those people can afford they could afford it if they want to I'm just saying like the Super Bowl is a whole another expensive the Super Bowl is a whole another uh beast that's not even in the same realm as like a a college football stadium it's true but but you know what I I don't see them doing this to the [ __ ] traditional Blue Bloods like the Horseshoe or the big house I don't dare see them [ __ ] gutting the big house reducing and putting a box in there I just don't see it happening there's too much tradition in that place I don't see it happen I don't see the Die Hard caller fans allowing that to happen I really don't that's that's what I think they also they also don't need the money that Florida State needs yeah they don't do [ __ ] we got to get the [ __ ] out of this conference exactly I think the other the other thing is that you know once we're at the Capac the final capacity that um that they're they're saying that we're going to end up at uh I think 72 is not going to feel that different I mean 80 to 89 or 86 or whatever didn't feel that different I think down to 72 72 to 89 will feel different but I think 72 from 80 won't be that crazy it won't be that noticeable they better do the [ __ ] that Florida does and they better add artificial crowd noise to hell that's the only thing I'm going to satisfy this y Florida does that you know so you heard about that right yeah of course yeah of course uh all right so the other good news that uh not for you guys I guess good news but the football only facility finally broke ground um offer tweeted out a picture of them uh moving some dirt over there so that is a positive thing because the football only facility is only a bonus to the whole scheme of things rather than you know them changing things for us fans that has nothing to do with us that's just for the players and for the recruits so that's a that's a positive thing and I'm I'm glad they finally did it cuz I know Jimbo was yelling from the mountain tops they wouldn't do it for him or blah blah blah blah blah cry crybaby throwing his Christmas tree to the side of the road about it whatnot and uh but at the end of the day uh they Alfred and norell got it done and they're they're going to build this uh this Taj Mahal for these players we have damn time yeah we got the coach and we got we have the ad and we have the president they have all the right steps and they're all in lock step uh going towards the same goal which is good which is what uh what fsu's needed for quite some time quite some time so uh I'm excited to see it you know I don't think we need to really hit more on that I think we can all agree that uh the football only facility is only a good thing to add to the ab repertoire absolutely and for recruiting purposes the clim so uh it's going to be great the the um the scheme on that or the schematics or whatever it's looks good yeah uh actually Wild Hair you got any details on that like you know somebody that might be working on that project our client of ours um is one of the uh directors of the program and he was telling me a couple weeks back how it was AO now and it's supposed to be something like $127 million they've got this one big screen you have they went all the way to um uh College Station in Texas A&M just to see this one screen that only Texas A&M has and they're going to copy that and make that there also where they can actually line the entire team up and they can move the scheme around for the other team to see how our players react it's pretty awesome I I'm not you mean like they can they can like line up like 11 on 11 and see with the against the team that you're going to see they can line them up they can move the quarterbacks around running backs the lineman around they can they can lean you know they can show The Players what they might be seeing for the next game it's pretty awesome that's pretty cool was cool no I'm a big fan big fan of that visual learning like with the GoPro that Tua yeah used with the Miami Dolphins like those kind of things yeah those definitely have to be helpful for sure best way to Lear just rep just continue repe repetition repping it is always I'm excited to see when they finally finish it but I think they're about two to three years out on that that project as well yeah so um you know these things take time so honestly they couldn't I know what you guys were saying with the the stadium being an issue with them losing all the fans and yeah that sucks this year it's going to be terrible but they can't they can't they can't just like put a gab on it uh next fall you know in between construction and keep all those fans they just there's no way to do that they have to continue the construction process just cuz I kind of know how that all works so they couldn't do it from January or from the offseason to no they are they're doing it a whole offseason they're doing it during the season they're doing it the next off season like you can't stop it if you stop it it's going to be multiple Seasons I think there might be another so having having the the stall out for one or having the capacity killed for one season was basically the trade-off to get it done but I think another one of their mindsets is by compressing the the seating area they're going to they're going to have sellouts more and more also because even though they're building a new higher range higher dollar area they're going to compress and they're going to sell out even more of good news is we got and they're good so they're going to sell out most games I they got a lot of Champions club seats though that people don't buy though don't they yeah those those are going to be bought you will see people sitting in them finally yeah you will because people want to people are going to want to watch the game y'all want to all split in Champions Club I'd be down I'd be down to go to a game watch it in the Champions Club well not you Austin you're too far away you can't come loser I'll just go to the Boston College games where they're like $50 a ticket once every two years unless we leave to the Big T yeah then all go down to rers games I don't know go go over to the big house Fue Michigan that'd be crazy yeah close you're not too far from a couple of those places I'm like four I'm a train ride away from Ruckers God I wish I hope we go to the Big 10 longer than a train ride we'll put it that way but it's probably like five hours maybe yeah something College Park Pennsylvania or is that College Park Maryland I get those mixed up it's uh that's Maryland you're talking about State College how far is Mary from Boston you you're just going to make me Far Far let's see pin State I think that's like I think that's about 5 hours probably closer to 7 you think so yeah I did the drive once oh okay all right well uh with that said follow us on Twitter or X excuse me
