good afternoon this is the National Weather Service in Anchorage Alaska with Sundays Alaska Statewide weather a trough brought areas of rain to the southern southeast coast with up to a half inch falling at clak during the day Sunday otherwise of weakening front also spread quite an area of light rain across much of interior Alaska that extended down toward Kodiak Island linking up with another system that was moving Eastward bringing light rain fog and drizzle to the Eastern ution spreading into the Alaska Peninsula rain changed the showers over the Western interior and ended out toward the Southwest coast a high pressure was developing over the Western uans drying it out there and creating an area of light winds extended into the Northeast Bearing Sea and for tonight look for periods of light rain to approach St Lawrence Island associated with another another trough to the west and southwest otherwise light rain and shower will continue across this Cook Inlet the Kenai Peninsula and the chugat mountains northward to the Alaska range and a weak trough will produce some shower activity over the upper Tanana Valley in 40 mile country northward to Eagle otherwise it'll be drier with weak high pressure moving into the Western interior that'll extend along the Yukon river northeastward to the Brooks range and for Monday uh trough will keep clouds and showers going across South Central Alaska pretty Frum sound in the north Gulf Coast it'll be a partly sunny day over the central and southern Panhandle with an isolated shower at two in the north next weather system will push some rain into the Western Illusions otherwise the varing sea will be mostly dry as well as the Alaska Peninsula where partly sunny skies are anticipated for Kodiak Island it'll be dry with partial clearing for the Arctic coast and North Slope into the upper Yukon Valley and on Tuesday stronger low pressure area moves into the southeast Bearing Sea that will spread Gusty winds and rain to the Eastern Lucian Alaska Peninsula with rain spreading into Bristol Bay and the kusum Delta that'll push northeastward across the kusum valley to the Western Alaska range a trough over the West and Northwest part of the state will produce light rain fog and showers in that area with scattered showers over the Eastern interior from the Copper River Basin northward to the Yukon Flats
