all right guys so welcome welcome back to whisper Miss 34 this is the second time I'm trying to do this because my alarm went off on my phone normally I work on a Monday but today is Labor Day happy Labor Day to you and before I get started please please if you could be so generous and kind as to click like And subscribe and share if you can with anyone you know that likes ASMR or maybe they've never tried and I just want to welcome you back to my channel whisper Mist 34 I also have a motorcycle Channel called laser focused riding and more so today is Labor Day unfortunately it was a sad weekend for my family because a very very dear friend of mine passed away on Saturday night I was at a gig and I didn't know it so I found out yesterday day um so I'm trying to keep myself busy today um very concerned about my mom because this really shook her up shook her up really badly so we're not going to be doing any celebration today but for those of you that do celebrate Labor Day you may want to know how it got started um and I'm just playing with one of my one of my little play foam thingies today we're using green and this will not be a long video U because I'm going to be going somewhere um we're taking our puppies and maybe you know what maybe I'll post some video from that we're taking our golden retriever swimming at my in-law's house um they are away at the beach and they said we could do that so but other than that you know it's a very uh chill day but before I get on with my day I just wanted to make sure that I said hello I've missed you guys this week and I am off this week from work so I'm going to try to do a lot of home projects see my family ride my motorcycles do motorcycle videos and also use this binaural microphone and the microphone above me to record some really good videos for you guys okay but real quickly I had two things in mind I wanted to first of all I wanted to talk about the history of Labor Day in case you do not know what it's supposed to mean or what it's about um I guess I should first say happy labor day I'm trying to incorporate what that person said to me by the way in the comments to um do a little bit of whisper and then a little bit of soft spoken but be more away from the microphone and then come back into the microphone like this maybe with a whisper to the right ear to the left ear put your headphones on okay so the history of Labor Day you might wonder what it's about because we often do fireworks right we do this huge fireworks celebration much much like we do on Memorial Day which is for veterans and much like we do on the 4th of July which is also about this country gaining its independence right its birth basically just get a subdental here okay so the difference though is that this isn't um about veterans and it's not about necessarily about patriotism it it does have to do with the country and the people in it you in particular Labor Day is literally celebrating people who labor people that work so if you're someone who Works whether it's part-time full-time whatever happy Labor Day to you today is a day for you to rest relax maybe take a little vacation for the weekend maybe the week go to the beach towns because come September 22nd that will be the end of the summer sadly officially now I can tell you that you can still do a lot of Summer things I love this stuff I get distracted you can still do a lot of Summer things after September 22nd um in one of my comments someone told me to back away from the mic and do a little bit of softspoken and it's hard for me to do softspoken in this room because this room Echoes it's my studio literally it's my music studio um so it it definitely has an echo in here but um yeah and then come back to the mic and to your left ear and to your right ear Okay so briefly and did a little bit of research and it has been a national holiday since June 28th of 1894 let's take a look here let me pull my calculator out this is how stupid I am I'm just going to use the calculator for the fact that I can use the [Music] calculator 140 years we've been sell celebrating at 140 years I knew it was an even number obviously but I didn't feel like doing math so yep 140 years so it's only been a national holiday for the last 140 years so people that were were working prior to 140 years we never celebrated them in their accomplishments that's really really sad but anyway how it came about was that the labor unions you know they were making a lot of changes for all the laborers of the day and you know saying hey These people aren't getting vacation time they're not getting holiday time they're not getting sick time and things like that so it really came about through the unions getting together and saying this is a bunch of garbage people need to have what we now refer to as paid time off or PTO do you have PTO do you have enough PTO my husband has his unlimited PTO can you believe that unlimited that's because he has a pretty incredible job and he's very good at what he does anyway um so you know in addition to that like in the second half of the 19th century it says here if I'm looking at the computer here let me turn the microphone a little bit just so you can hear this in the second half of the 19th century working conditions in railroads mines factories and Mills were some of the worst in the American history there was poor ventilation long hours low pay dangerous conditions and child labor were just a few of the concern a labor movement began and as a result of pooring conditions at that time they were able to Institute certain things so the 5day 40h hour work week that most Americans experience today didn't become common place until 1940s because people were commonly working over 80 hours a week for regular pay also uh strikes and protests such as the 1886 Hay Market riot in Chicago which resulted in the death of seven policemen and for civilians made it evident that something had to be done labor day became a national holiday on June 28th of 1884 it was actually first started in 1882 but it was not national holiday it just started in one particular place and then it went from state to state and before you know it it became a national holiday so the the Pullman Strike was in 1894 this had a huge impact on the railway traffic especially in and around Chicago and caused shipping delays and loss lost revenue for businesses basically here we go in an effort to amarate tensions president Grover Cleveland do you remember Grover Cleveland um signed a law passed by Congress establishing Labor Day as a national holiday on June 28th 1894 by this time many states had already recognized the holiday in fact the first unofficial Labor Day Parade took place in New York City on September 5th 1882 look who's the smart one here okay I'm not smart I just read it this morning on this day an estimated 10,000 New Yorkers did not show up to work and instead marched from New York City's Hall New York's City Hall excuse me to Union Square in protest of poor working conditions interesting that it's called Union sare Union Square because unions are the ones who started this in the first place um and who originally started it particularly was Peter J Maguire co-founder of the American Federation of Labor labor union came up with the idea for this working man's holiday others argue that it was Matthew Maguire Secretary of the central labor union in central labor union in New York no one is 100% sure which of these two labors labor leaders um actually founded the Labor Day so there you go so that's the basic uh premise of Labor Day and where it came from between it it looks like it started in New York City and it was not a national holiday until 18 what 94 good job specifically what day June 28th when was the first Day Labor Day celebrated September 5th 1882 look at us being smart and stuff okay now putting that aside I wanted to do something special for my friend before I go and and then I'll also um probably do the soap on my hands again I want to pick a Bible verse if any of you have lost a love one recently or even for all of us that have lost a loved one in their lives I mean there's no greater pain than than this and they have 20 different uplifting Bible verses about death to bring you peace and hope so here we go the first one is actually can you believe something bringing you peace is coming from The Book of Revelation see a lot of people think that the Book of Revelation which is the last book of the Bible because it's kind of like Hellfire Brimstone kind of thing because it can be really um scary depending on how you look at it uh and very difficult to understand by the way it does have an amazing verse in it which is 214 it says he will wipe every tear from their eyes there will be no more death or Mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away Lamentations 3:32 though he brings grief he will show compassion so great is his unfailing love in Jesus name amen do a little bit of this we'll do like 10 of them and then I'll wrap this up as that's how foamy it is I just love this sound and this smells incredible I mean this stuff is absolutely incredible and it makes my hands really soft anyway I just thought about these looking these up at this very moment just because of my friend and missing her and when I was talking to my mom you know we were talking about the fact that we're so happy for her because her pain is no longer um Cancer Sucks by the way so does Co so this is uh John 11:25 26 Jesus said to her I am the resurrection and the life those who believe in me even though they die will live and everyone who lives and Believes In Me will never die that's John 11:25-26 I wonder if he said that to Mary Magdalene Psalm 1473 he heals the Brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Jesus name amen five this is John 3:16 everyone knows this one for God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life in Jesus name amen John 851 a lot of these come from John who was very close to Jesus I tell you the truth if anyone keeps my word you will never see death you will never see death number seven going to get a piece of vitamin gum number seven we all know this one well no actually you know a lot of Corinthians on but this is 1 Corinthians 15:4 [Music] 245 and this says so it will be with the resurrection of the Dead the body that is sown is perishable it is raised imperishable it is swn in dishonor but it is raised in glory it is swn in weakness it is raised in power it is sewn with a natural body but it is raised a spiritual body that one right there is powerful listen to this one more time so it will be with the resurrection of the Dead the body that is sown is perishable it is raised imperishable it is sown in dishonor but it is raised in glory it is s in weakness yet it is raised in power it is sown a natural body it is raised a spiritual body in Jesus name amen so the body we have here on Earth dies it is weak it is perishable we dishonor it in all of our sins but it is raised by the power and the glory of Jesus Christ and becomes a spiritual body not one of this Earth in Jesus name amen number 8 49:15 but God will redeem my life from the grave he will surely take me to himself in Jesus name amen two more okay you notice a theme Here John and Corinthians they're all about love love love and that's what Jesus is all about John 5:25 I tell you the truth a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live that's why we need to get everyone to know Jesus not to be religious but to have a relationship with Christ so that they too will hear the Son of God and live eternally in Jesus name amen last one psalm 48:14 for this God is our God forever and ever he will be our guide even unto death in Jesus name amen that's really all I had to [Music] say I really didn't want to talk about too much more today just because I have to get going and losing my friend is taking a toll on all of us for sure um I pray to God that he wraps his loving arms around her I know he has welcomed her into his kingdom I just know he has he's welcomed her into his kingdom and she is no longer in pain but I'm in pain for the people who love her you know how do we how do we make that make sense right we be a lot of us become really angry with God but it's not God we have to remember that we chose free will we chose something that he didn't want for us and um unfortunately we do not live forever and it's really heartbreaking and the absolute worst thing you can go through on Earth to lose a loved one so if you could say a prayer for my friend's family and for my family I would greatly appreciate it I thank you so much so so much for listening to this video I Know It was kind of short nothing fancy just um kind of a history lesson and tapping in squishies and some good Bible verses if you're down or you're going through something and you've lost a loved one or anything like that but truly happy Labor Day to you God bless you Jesus loves you more than you could ever possibly imagine and all he wants from you is to love him to love one another follow his ways not your own for his ways are greater than our ways and while we don't understand them following them leads us to a death that involves spiritual life where our spirit lives on forever it leads us to him to his Mercy to his grace and all eternity forever and ever Jesus love you peace peace
