Texas Football: What Do You Want To See From Quinn Ewers vs Colorado State??

Longhorns in theory should have no problem against colado State this upcoming weekend the 32 and a half Point favorites depending when you're watching this video maybe the line has change but in theory the longhorn should should be fine against the Rams this upcome weekend however I would be upset if I didn't talk about the Rams offense they got a stud quarterback one of my favorite group of five quarterbacks and they got a great receiver to throw too their defense not very good right so if Caro state has any chance to pull the upset or stay in this game it's going to be because their offense is clicking on all cylinders but with that said let's talk about Quinn yours the real reason you came to watch this video let's talk about Quinn there are five things I want to see from Quinn against Colorado State this upcoming weekend and we do have some film at the end of the video that will'll go through just two clips actually two clips demonstrating the type of plays I want to see but number one the number one thing I want to see from Quinn yers is for him to stay healthy it's Colorado State you shouldn't need to show a lot of the Playbook he shouldn't need to run the ball by any means and as far as it comes to avoiding sacks La last year Quinn the Big 12 or he would have led the SEC actually if he was in the SEC last year with the amount of sacks that were his fault 25% of his sacks were on him according to pffs right so just get rid of the ball don't take any necessary hits right be healthy number two you have Superior athletes everywhere let them do all the work right hopefully the Run game gets going you don't have to throw very many times but let them do the work get the ball out quickly to your new receivers kind of break in your new guys around you let them do the work right challenge colado state to make the tackles and the open field oneon-one number three I don't want to see this too much but I would like to see a deep ball completion or two Quinn gets criticized so much about his ability to throw the Deep ball and a lot of times it's because sar's offense doesn't call for it at times although admittedly it is an area that he needs to work on and improve right so I would like to see a deep shot or two complete more so so people aren't talking about it number four what would I like to see from Quinn not too much honestly I don't want to see anything that they have to to show I want them to hide whatever they're trying to hide they they shouldn't have to go into their bag of tricks to beat Colo State especially with with Michigan coming up right so I'd like to have a comfortable lead without showing too much without having to uh to dig to be in your bag per se if you're Quinn yours and Coach Sark number five I want to see Quinn on the bench in the fourth quarter I want the Longhorns to have a five plus touchdown lead entering the fourth quarter so Quinn does not have to play right so he can remain healthy so he doesn't have to take any unnecessary shots right so with that said let's watch two quick clips we're going to watch just a clip of of this Quinn getting rid of the ball to his receivers and then making a play because I want to see that over and over and over again on uh on Saturday this upcoming weekend and then one or two deep shots this weekend right so we're going to Showcase those two actually this is the type of play I want to see over and over and over again and then the next play is just a deep ball I just want to see one or two of those right but these are the type of plays I want to see over and over again it's going he's going to hit his I forget who this is I think number two he's going to hit his receiver on kind of a quick slant here uh so shallow easy throw give me throw but he's letting him take care of all the yards give me a bunch of yak yards against colado State the ball comes out quickly here so we're going to see let's see let me see if I can move this for us Yep this is my first time using the this new video annotator so I apologize but see the ball comes out quick easy throw I mean you had two guys you could really get the ball to this is actually probably the right throw you don't want to throw to him but this is where you need to go take a little hole shot good easy throw there for your and then the receivers is able to do the rest right he caught it and I don't know how many Yak yards he's getting here uh maybe I should on a different clip but you still get the point right you want to let your Playmakers do all the work okay he's getting 10 plus yards after the catch maybe 15 plus so you want to see these type of throws let your Superior athletes take charge let your Superior athletes be the guys that that pad the stats for you Quinn right this is you should be able to do this all day you should be able to do this all day right so those type of throws I want to see that throw over and over again all right this throw here is just going to be a deep throw obviously we got Quinn here throwing a deep ball this is to worthy worthy just beats this guy you can kind of see up top if he's even he's leaving you if you have any type of uh uh if you watched or or played any type of football and you've had a coach that that knew he was talking about that's what they're going to tell you as a quarterback if he's even he's leaving give him a shot it's exactly what yours does so again I don't want to see this a ton let's go ahead and play I don't want to see this a ton but I do want to see at least one of these deep throws right this give me a deep this give me one solid deep throw shut everyone up make a good completion get some good practice in and show everyone that you know you're able to complete these type of throws but you shouldn't have to have four or five of these to be colro State you shouldn't have to have any of these right this is a pretty good throw by Quinn and look at that Separation by Worthy pretty damn good there right but again you shouldn't have to have these type of throws to be CL state I think as just from a pure development sake development standpoint I want to see this throw I'm a Texas Fan if I'm Quin yours I want to make this throw just to just to feel good about myself and have a deep throw right and then you can see this's a good job by Quinn just putting the ball out here if he's even he's leaving play for me boom good job there by by Quinn right so just wrap it up right the the five things I want to see from from Quinn yours number one just be healthy that's actually just be healthy forget the rest just be healthy don't show Too Much get the ball out quick let your Superior athletes do all the work hit a deep shot or two I would love to see this not a priority but I would love to see this and then the last thing just be in the bench in the fourth quarter have a five plus touchdown lead let Arch get in be on the bench and then start prepping
