King Charles III speaks out and expels Prince Andrew from his residence at Royal Lodge

For several years, King Charles III has been struggling to dislodge his little brother, Prince Andrew, from the Royal Lodge, and tension is mounting in this family saga. As revealed by the Daily Mail on August 18, the 75-year-old sovereign decided to take drastic measures to achieve his goal. Since his accession to the throne, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Charles III has expressed his wish to see Andrew leave this residence where he still clings, despite the circumstances. The Royal Lodge, with its 30 rooms, has become a real issue between the two brothers. According to several sources reported by the Daily Mail, the king has recently stepped up his efforts by making bold decisions. In a twist, Charles decided to fire Prince Andrew's security team, a group of ten agents. "Everyone is wondering if this means the Duke will have to leave the Royal Lodge. What other reason could there be for his security to be withdrawn?" asked someone close to the palace. This dismissal will not take effect until October, by which time the king hopes to have succeeded in getting his brother to leave. “It is no secret that the king wants him to leave,” added the same source. The family climate is therefore more tense than ever, while Charles III seems determined to regain control of this emblematic property. King Charles III repeatedly tried to dislodge his brother, Prince Andrew, by offering him a residential alternative. The reason for this insistence? The Royal Lodge, where Andrew resides, is in a state of disrepair. Charles wishes to rehabilitate and rent it, in order to make it a source of income for the crown and the country, rather than letting it become a financial burden. A close friend of the king even declared to the Sun: “This property could generate funds for them, thus filling the coffers of the king and the country instead of weighing on collective resources.” To make his project a reality, Charles III suggested that his brother move into more modest accommodation, Frogmore Cottage, formerly occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, as the Daily Mail reported last year, Prince Andrew saw the proposal as an unacceptable "demotion" and steadfastly refused to leave the Royal Lodge. Thus, the saga continues, mixing family tensions and financial issues, while Charles III aspires to more judicious management of royal properties.
