better than your o line and it's the same thing we saw against Oregon the listen the the blueprint has been put in front of everybody to beat Colorado if they can block you up you're going to have a long day if they can't you're you're struggling they're they're onedimensional there isn't listen there is they have no ability to play with your eyes when it comes to running the ball play action certain situations that you would be able to out leverage right so let's say linebacker linebacker and let's say you know they go let's say they go three three stack right so and you got Center guard guard tackle tackle right um one two three four shador and the running back right so what you're able to do in certain situations let's say shador faked this this uh this uh this run right well you would get the linebackers to slide and play The Run and feel run fits and then you would be able to get things behind them but since nobody respects the run right cuz they're like you're not running the ball you're Colorado right so you don't get players in run FS you get guys just standing still waiting for you to pull it right waiting for you to pull it even if you nobody's nobody's worried about the run because you don't run the ball so instead of these guys coming downhill trying to fill in the slots or whatever they just sit back and they hey okay cool when they see the ball then they'll then they'll rally to the point of the ball right but you're not fooling anybody you're not gaining Leverage you're not gaining any leverage with what you're doing in the game right so you can't even manipulate the defense with certain plays the only way that honestly and I'm going keep it a buck with you let's go back to the board right the only way that you shut up hey what's up Sergeant mckinnel right um the only way that you can um that you can manipulate the defense is with passing right so let's say you go trips right so you got Corner um Corner safety uh linebacker linebacker line right let's say you go trips right and you got shador running back so the only way you can really manipulate the defense is if you do like fake screens right so what you would do is these guys would fake block right and then they would turn it into a route and you'll have Travis you got to use Travis as a dummy and he come back he pumps this and he throws that right like those are the ways that you manipulate the defense with passing attacks and that it they're called setup plays right to where to where you set up I run the screen to set up the future play right because I'mma set I'mma run this screen now you're GNA think you know it's coming I'mma fake it and then I'm gonna throw the Deep ball on you or I'mma throw the seam or whatever and you're not seeing a lot of setup plays from Colorado you're just seeing a lot of situations where it's hey shadur go save us hey shadur go make a play hey Travis go make a play you're not seeing the creativity in the offense to be like hey you haven't seen a reverse right like you haven't seen a reverse you haven't seen like just little things to make the defense have to think right you haven't seen a a a Flea Flicker or any just anything creative to try to catch the defense lacking right or catch them in in in overplay in a you know they're overplaying this or over playing that we're going to catch you in it you're not seeing any of that so it's just a it's it's going to be a tough out if you're telling if you're if you're going into the game and saying hey we're going to line up against Nebraska Mano imano and we're going to win this game that's not that's not in your best bet you're going to have to be more creative in how you manipulate the defense with pass ING with a mixture of different things if it's jet sweeps all those type of things like you can run the ball in different ways like short game passes is running the ball right short game passing is running the ball in in a sense anyway right that's the like the new era of running so I I'm just seeing a lack of creativity on the on the H on behalf of Colorado and the offensive coordinator um and just trying to manipulate the defense in other ways that would help your offense and Nebraska listen if I'm if I'm Nebraska if I'm at rule I'm telling Dylan hey don't get greedy okay don't give Colorado anything and I'm telling I'm like hey guys listen let's not give Colorado anything let's give them no momentum let's let's be let's be safe with the ball Dylan we don't need no heroics just make the play if it's not there throw the ball military puts you in the most extreme situations so that when you're in those situations you go back to your training if if third and one is you need a yard why would I ask my Lin in to pool or trap what Dylan did and almost and got away with it but that's that's a bad play right like those are certain things that's like that's a freshman mistake that's something Dylan should have made oh I think I got the arm to make it there I'mma throw it and then Travis takes it for a pick six like you back and then also to even go deeper on your point backed up in your own End Zone exactly just I I I and no bad like you got to throw the ball away because you're hurting your team you're taking it from a second and 10 to now third and 17 third and 20 because you're taking sacks when you could just throw it away all right we back third and 10 you get what I'm saying like it's I I don't get it man I I really don't get it because if we're being honest I would people say shador doesn't throw the ball away because it it messes up his percentage in in uh completions that's why he doesn't throw the ball away and I didn't I didn't know when a quarterback said that uh I think one of the quarterbacks who do analyst stuff in CBS or something was talking about that and I didn't know that I didn't know every time you throw the ball away it messes up your percentage so I was like damn if that's the reason why this [ __ ] not throwing the ball away that come on man like that that you can't do that you can't do that cuz you're hurting your team and and and this might is gonna sound insensitive but I think he tapped out oh yeah he qu tapped oh yeah he quit because if because if you telling me he he a concussion protocol then how'd he get back in the game and throw the touchdown he tapped out man I'm telling you and I go ahead finish your point there was as a team there was a lot of indictments today about the program first of all it should never be a first half in an announcer is saying the Colorado team just looks defeated they look dejected I don't know what's going on in the sideline that's that's a program that's a culture problem there there's more going there's more going there Front Runners that's what happens when you're a front runner when you're a front runner you're you're when you're a front runner this is what it looks like when everything's going well because you see it see this is why I tell people I said you when when adversity hits that's when you really know what kind of person you are you can tell by Travis how he and it's the same thing I saw it in his high school film if it's not going his way he's the worst teammate he don't block he stands around you can go watch his high school film and see that the play if the play was not going to him he'll just stand there he wouldn't run a route he wouldn't block he wouldn't do anything and you see him he you see him blowing up right yelling at your door and throw me the ball and all this which listen competitively I don't have a problem with it right but at some point in time you you can't do it because it it shows up your quarterback it shows up your your coaching it shows up all that stuff so you got to keep it you got to keep it in house sometimes like just sometimes if you're really fiery guy and I get it but sometimes you got to keep that stuff in the house cuz it it looks bad just does look bad right when things aren't going your way that you act the way that you act and to me I got to respect the I really respect the Jimmy horns the the cuz they didn't they didn't they didn't blow up they knew they like dang you know I know they had to be frustrated I know Jimmy horn I just went for a seven a buck 98 and now I'm here with three catches and maybe 40 50 yards right those are the guys that should be exploding and blowing up Travis gets every ball thrown to him how you how you mad I don't get it yeah man so like I said they they got to stop playing the you think the the L today is going to impact your performance against CSU which obviously last year you beat Nebraska by fair amount CSU was a very tight this L today impact performance going into next uh really just get back to the drawing board understand what we're wrong understand that they're going to try to uh Cal coming to you what's up Cal what's going on scrip what's up hey why can't he um like you know looking at his offensive line like that first year Jack State the spring they were ass that first full season he had in the fall they were ass and that second season they were all but col it look like ja State's first season do he not good at evaluating offensive line Talent or offensive line coach or what it listen you gotta the thing with the thing with Dion that you got to understand is at the end of the day um you offensive line have to feel like going to you mean something right like one offensive line are is just as valuable as quarterback so they're going to want to be paid so you got to get you got to pay top dollar and then two are you developing are people getting drafted Bas want to go to the pros man and there is no proof that going to Colorado will get you to the league it it's not it's there's no proof to that there's proof that going to Michigan will it's proof that going to Texas will it's proof that going to Ohio state will Alabama LSU there's no proof that being an offensive lineman in Colorado is going to get you drafted it's none so why would I go there you're not a factory for oine come on yeah I just think his talent evaluation I don't trust it that's fair um but let's get into the meat and potatoes what I'm calling I'm talking about them s and jaguars struggl with division to Savannah State for a um we not talking about that right now we not talking about right now why would you call me knowing we ain't talking about that right now come on man be better was like no I rather if we gonna go down i' rather go down swinging honestly cuz I know I could throw the best punch so we just got to bounce back from it and learn where is the I want to see Dions where Dion press conference at I don't care about I want to see Dions with Equity Firm no that's not it let me see here we go found it did something very unar of of himself found it never makes a bad decision especially in that part of the field which they got to pick six um after that we was just trying to play catchup defense surrender some things early but I'm really really pleased with the way they played in the second half it seemed like we're a team of second half defensively we just got to get it going earlier but overall certainly not happy with the outcome but I'm the positive things uh the way we competed in the second half we had no give up no quit in US whatsoever we know we got to do a better job offensively on protection um as well as trying to figure out how to establish a run game and be consistent with that I'm just excited I mean I gotta find you got to understand when you're in a situation like this you got to find something to hold on to that you can encourage your team and I'm truly excited about the second second half of football that we played um you would have thought offensively would have came in here and did half of what we did uh a week ago and it would have been a better contest but it didn't they had the advantage the whole entire game it seemed as though young kid did a good job with protecting the ball not turning it over as well I'm looking at a 23 for 30 that's pretty R good 185 yards but touchdown and no turnover I'm not happy about um nine penalties for 104 yards whatsoever the game got truly sloppy at the end of it it seemed like it was just flag after flag after flag uh um they had 12 for 105 normally with that type of output of of of flags and penalties you usually come out Victorious but both of us were horrible and at expect third Downs 414 is not who we are fourth Downs uh we had two shots at one point to get a yard and we didn't accomplish that and that was truly frustrating when we prepare for those type of situations uh we we were in those type of situations in practice several times this week I made sure we prepared for those situations but we didn't get it so it was what it was hats off to uh coach Ru um his staff coached the heck of a game uh great guy like I said we came into class together as coaches so I'm always rooting for them unless they play us but I'm happy uh if we going to get that butts kick might as well be him God-fearing man let's go goe hi coach the G's H sports report just simply why was it so difficult for the offense to respond to Nebraska defense I have no idea we would have known that answer I think we would have responded quicker yeah we uh seemed like we just never got it going until it was too late seemed like we just never got it going protections were were a problem you know I'm trying to be polite and say it because you know I can say the same thing you're thinking but if I said you say I'm throwing my up under the bus I'm not doing that whatsoever protection were a problem we got to figure out a way to uh prevent that and do a better job with that go ahead coach have a couple questions for you first off are you surprised the offensive line is not getting the push and the protection you thought they might um well first game I think they did a good job protecting I'm not going to say that now this game we didn't so um we hadn't run the ball like we wanted to consistently um but bar rarely do you have a great running offense and a great passing offense rarely you have that one is going to have to uh be the lesser of the two we got to figure out a way to have a some type of running game because we have backs de and flat out to it we really do like what I like what I saw out of those guys as well second question for you you give us something on Shiloh also like went out yeah yeah yeah Shiloh I think injury reports uh I think Harge did something with his foot on one of the punts uh Shiloh I think uh separate man y'all can watch that on your old time I ain't about to sit up here man ninja you lost all
