SpaceX has announced Polaris Dawn will liftoff
early Tuesday, August 27, from SpaceX's Launch Complex 39A, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center
with four private astronauts on a groundbreaking mission. Polaris Dawn will take them farther
than any human has gone since the Apollo era, and they'll make history by conducting
the first-ever commercial spacewalk. Led by billionaire philanthropist Jared Isaacman,
the crew will embark on a journey of scientific discovery and human achievement. As they orbit
Earth, they'll brave the harsh radiation belts and test SpaceX's cutting-edge spacesuits.
