I PUT MONTANA IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL 25! | Montana Rebuild Ep. 1

Intro and y'all know I played football at the University of Montana and y'all also know that it's a FCS program so it's not in college football 25 but today I'm taking over as head coach and we're putting Montana inside of college football 25 and we're about to try and win a National Championship let's go for y'all that don't know college football 25 only has FBS teams in it which means Montana as a FCS team is not in the game but recently EA dropped team Builder which allows you to customize a team and put it in the game so y'all know what I had to do I had to make Montana and put them inside the game now I know y'all can search my name I think on the team Builder thing inside the game y be able to download this for yourself I'm not sure how that works but I do know it's in the game and y'all can download the roster so you guys can do your own thing as well all right so I had to figure out what conference Montana would be in and I thought it was pretty easy they'd be in the Mountain West Conference just geographically that's what makes sense so y'all can see we're at the bottom of the Mountain West right now which is fine we're a 67 overall team 66 offense 69 defense not the best starting point but I did want this rebuild to be tough and now y'all are probably wondering what's happening with the Vandy rebuild the Vandy rebuild was on a Early Access version of the game so I don't even have that same game State anymore so we're just moving it over to the Montana re I know y'all were liking the Vandy rebuild but welcome to the Montana rebuild I know this one's going to be even more fun than the Vandy rebuild now before we start let's go ahead and take a look at the team that we already have when you create a team on team Builder you can choose from a default roster and I chose the worst roster possible to make this rebuild as accurate as possible the difference between the FCS and FBS is mostly funding there's some dogs that play in the FCS as you guys can see from the amount of players that get drafted from somebody like North Dakota State but in this scenario moving up from the FCS to FBS I wanted the overalls to be kind of lower so our rebuild is more difficult and it's more accurate hey I Roster was about to tell yall who's starting a quarterback but just just take a second and look how accurate I made these uniforms look at that and then look at the screen look at that and then look at the screen bro I went crazy on these uniforms but hey anyway starting at quarterback we have 71 overall Tyler Olsen he's a senior he's 6'3 209 from Massachusetts he's a field General he doesn't have any mental abilities his ratings aren't the best y'all can see he only has a 79 accuracy but hey he's our starting quarterback this season then at running back we got Strickland we got Tyson they're both Juniors but it's going to be a running back Duo that we utilize throughout the season and a wide receiver we're not very fast we don't have a single wide receiver over 90 speed but these are the wide receivers that we got coming into the season hopefully we can recruit some guys to be better next season the best player on our roster right now is 79 overall middle linebacker Chase Freeman he's going to be the leader of the defense he's got some physical abilities he's going to have to carry this defense then as far as the rest of the team are punter is our second best player and that's probably all y'all need to know we got a decent team but I mean it's not very fast we got a decent corner right here Jaden Bowie but yeah this team is just not great now as far as recruiting goes I added some players to the board these guys might be kind of like a reach but I got a lot of one a lot of two star guys on this roster there wasn't a single Prospect from Montana on the prospect list so that kind of sucks but I did add some guys to this board I'm not going to go over all of them right now cuz a lot of these guys might not be even interested in the school next week but I did find a couple decent quarterbacks so if we could land a good quarterback coming into next season they might start as a freshman honestly a lot of these guys that we recruit will probably start as freshman but hey we got to start winning some games if we're going to land some recruits and y'all can see week one we're taking on Texas State and not only are we taking on Texas State we're taking them on at home we are starting out our FBS journey in the Mountain West conference at home let's go hey I wish they would have put our helmet right there next to the Texas state one like imagine this like right there yeah that would have been tough but hey look at this real quick look at the uniform I'm telling you I went crazy on these uniforms and I even got more uniforms I got alternates I got Throwbacks so y'all are going to have to wait and see those throughout the season I'm excited for y'all to see them but hey let's jump into game one all right Game here we go first kick return as a Montana Grizzly hey these uniforms look kind of crazy as y'all can see I did have to pick oh let me get out I did have to pick Army Stadium I thought it looked the closest to Washington Grizzly that I could find but obviously it's not a perfect Stadium but we are going to start the season off on the ground I'm going to give it to Strickland we're going to see what he can do I know our old line isn't great but hopefully we can get to the next level okay that was decent blocking I am just going to run off of Coast suggestions and see how it goes I'm going to get it out to Strickland right here make some make a play out the back field spin all right we got third and eight third eight let's pick this up I don't really want to start I'm going back to Strickland he's wide open this time that's a beautiful read get the first down and let's go we are out of bounds we really might run this offense through Strickland this season get that block good block good block keeping it on the ground here second down we got Tyson in the game he's a little bit faster than Strickland actually we're going to gain two we're going to get third and four here we got Strickland back in we're going with the screen get it to him get it out in front good blocks good block 60 spin keep running oh my goodness that's a big hit but that's a big play Keep It on the Ground Strickland's back in big gain that was a read option but I had to give it they kept it on the outside I had to give it this offense the first season might not be that Dynamic we got to be able to make plays we need to be able to make blocks out there 15 that would have made a big gain if we could have got blocks I'm not even going to lie Montana style football get this close fourth and one we're going for it we're not kicking field goals here we go we snaap the ball we might get it out to Strickland we might be able to scramble with Olsen there we go get up get down I don't want you to take a big hit we got wear and tear on this season too it's our first trip to the Red Zone we got to capitalize we got to capitalize get it out olssen get it out I don't like you taking that hit though I need you to pitch it before you take the hit third and one we're not going away from it run the ball run the ball and we're going to score our first touchdown that's the first touchdown in Montana FBS history Strickland is going to walk into the end zone also just so y'all can see really quick we are playing on skill level Heisman this season all right here we go we got Freeman out here he's the leader of this defense we got to be able to make plays with him okay I didn't make the tackle we didn't make any tackles we still can't make any tackles please make a tackle I got to be able to get in there and make a play with Freeman he's the leader of this defense we got to get in we got to make a play run counter I'm out there I'm out there good tackle Freeman he got a first down but that's a tackle first 10 they're going sweep they're going sweep get outside that dude is fast uh-oh uh-oh make a tackle there make a tackle that forced him out of bounds we'll take it that dude is fast second and five I'm watching the run right here they might hand it off they've been running the ball well on us right now I'm going to get outside I'm going force him inside good play end of the first quarter they're going with the counter ah if they ran inside Zone I was blowing it up in the back field but they ran counter good play good play they're going no huddle straight on the ball I'm in the back field though I'm in the back field though I sent the blitz they're going run on second and 13 they still pulled out the what are you doing make that tackle make the tackle how do we stop the run so good to play before and then just miss tackles bad angles come on we have to make tackles all right offense back out on the field we got receiver screen here I like this tunnel screen I like the tunnel screen I like how it's set up the O lines down the field blocking I like it nine yards going back to Strickland here second down gets that next level 55 okay Strickland I thought that was a fake I thought it was a run last play didn't go how I thought it would there we go screen out spin out Strickland okay I like it bubble screen get it out no what are you doing why are you running up the field and why are you lofting the ball like that track him down track him down please why was he running the bubble screen downfield like that you have your block setup run that to the sideline don't run it up the field that's where the defense is I'm in the back field wow good ke we can't have turnovers like that cuz it just leads to plays for them on the other end as I throw absolute heater last play before the two-minute warning can we get the counter to work can we get the blocking to work please third down hopefully they don't expect a screen here get the ball out to get down good tackles that's two good plays in a Row Third and 12 we've proven we can get stops we've proven we can get stops he's going to throw right over the middle right there yep yep oh yeah we're in the back field what is your angles Freeman you're supposed to be the best player on this team what is that tackle angle oh how is he holding up the ball what do we do you really can't make this up at this point he was holding on to the ball like this just running like this if we don't just do that like oh my goodness this is about to be a crazy season first down I see the off coverage right away we're going to beam that beam that there we go second and inches my thing is we've shown we can move the ball but just not very efficiently can I get it to a we'll just take a first down but we show we can move the ball just I'm going just take right here check down check Downs lead to touchdowns now I just want the touchdown part oh my goodness I don't even need to say anything I'm in there there we go I had to force him outside but we made a tackle that time at least oh we suck going out to our receiver here n there's no way he caught that this is what we're doing this is what we're doing I mean good play by the DB but what is 22 doing I need you to block man there's no way a DB should ever be able to do that good knockout wow that's that's such a good pass I just want to go score a touchdown man like I genuinely think this team can score there we go Strickland there we go Strickland right back to him with the screen right back to him good block can I spin everybody out might go straight to the running back here quick out the back field oh what are we doing come on olon uh nobody's open can I get up Olson get down way early this time I don't care if I have more room to run no more fumbles on Paige come on Paige good block three good block three right back into Strickland right back into Strickland he's going to gain nine second and inches trickery second down direct snap to the running back get in the end zone get in the end zone see we can move the ball we can score we just need to do it more and they ended up scoring one more touchdown but that's final for game one we're going to lose 56-17 not the best way to start the season we never want to do that again and of course our first game is against the Bobcats I know it's not Montana State this time but it's ironic that the first game is against the Bobcats takeaways Outro from the first game Tyler olssen didn't play that bad he had 121 passer rating he was 33 for 44 292 passing yards 75% completion he did have two picks though so we don't want to see that we need some more touchdowns he had zero we need touchdowns on the board not picks rushing wise we leaned on Strickland a lot he had 13 carries 59 yards that's not the best but he had a touchdown a fumble though we didn't we need to get rid of those fumbles man olon and Strickland had fumbles and receiving wise Strickland did have 125 yards Paige had 72 we had a decent game we just didn't get in the end zone defensively we did have that one interception to start the game but the rest of the game they just smoed the ball with so much ease like they didn't even have to try they just threw the ball over our guys we're slow we're not ready to compete at this level yet we need to practice we need to figure out what this team can do and we got to figure out the pieces of where they need to play I don't know if anything I said just makes sense I think I'm just rattled from that loss but we just need to figure out where these players are going to be in the best position to make plays on the field hey obviously not the best best game not the best outcome but y'all finally got to see the team y'all got to see Montana in the FBS so that's the end of episode one I appreciate y'all watching I appreciate y'all tuning into the new series I understand y'all might be a little upset about the Vandy series but this is the Montana series I promise it'll be better as y'all can see from the first game it's going to be more of a struggle than the Vandy series anyway so I think it'll be a fun rebuild for us all to you know
