while some of that is coming into our neck of the woods so Francine still packing enough of a punch to leave us in a level one out of five risk for severe weather all throughout the day today now we have several threats so rather than just show you map after map where your county is highlighted this is a list I did just show you that level one out of five risk we also have a wind advisory in place for all of us from 7:00 this morning so about 40 minutes from now until 7 o'clock tomorrow morning that's ahead of those 40 to 45 m m hour wind gusts as well as a flood watch that's in effect right this second through 700 a.m. on Saturday now remember a warning is more serious than a watch a warning means whatever that weather element is is happening right now a watch means well the conditions are there they're favorable for that but it's not presently happen we are in a flood watch that lower version so here it is 8: a.m. we're seeing pockets of heavier rain but no true severe potential as you're heading out the door early this morning that's wonderful to hear at 10:30 those pockets of heavy rain be become significantly more widespread and last through lunchtime after lunch until about your 3:00 coffee run we see a bit of a low it's not completely dry but it is drier and then around 5:00 when you're headed home from work in the shs we're seeing pockets of thunderstorms start to develop and by 7:30 we have an organized line of thunderstorms now this line as we map it through the Tennessee Valley this is going to be where our greatest severe weather threat is not our only severe weather threat of the day but our greatest one but watch what a slow mover this is which is why we have that flood watch now 7:30 in the shes barely makes it east of I65 by midnight so taking it hours to just go several miles and as it does so continuing to bring that threat for 45 mph winds anywhere from 1 to 6 Ines of rain depending on which part of the storm you get and that low-end threat for tornadoes this continues to track East doesn't start to break up until 3:00 a.m. on Friday morning and even we're not completely dry we're just not staring at that cluster of storms so what I'll tell you is I hope you have the way31 storm tracker weather app on loud tonight you need it cuz this is a nocturnal threat so that way we can wake you up should a warning be issued either for a severe thunderstorm or for a tornado most of us are going to see between 1 and 2 inches of rain but those that see those pockets of heavier downpours in a thunderstorm you could see up to 5 to 6 and it's not over tomorrow tomorrow is not presently at 31 day but we do have a level one out of five risk for strong to severe storms coming on Friday scattered on again and off again throughout the day not as strong as what we're seeing today but they could still pack something of a punch
