Central Kentucky high school football highlights, scores: Aug. 30

[Applause] week one was all about shaking off the rust for the players some M tackles miscommunications and for us we had more than a few slip UPS last week all right Frank Kenny OB I'm sorry dumb I'm sorry folks But Central Johnson Central should say driving that's game all right let's do CH cre that's or Henry Clay that's my team Johnson Central comes into town ER I should say Madison Central comes back after that touchdown us at Fox 56 we're all about getting better week by week just like those high school football teams the players were balling out tonight so sit back cuz we got the highlights here on home team Friday Nights Live from Fox 56 Sports this is home team Friday nights hey what are we doing if we can't poke a little fun at each other at ourselves right no we're all shaking off that week one rust it is week two and it feels good so we are going to be giving you a better show than we did week one we are certainly ready to roll Michael EPS Jordan Adams Kobe Wilson Trinity a bunch of powerhouses and heavy weighs here in Kentuck Kentucky both undefeated heading into this game let's get to the highlights of this one as we said game of the week two big time teams undefeated going into this one we're going to start with the away team though and it's going to be zaye Johnson finding Caleb Warner for the receiving touchdown Shamrocks of 70 in the first check this out though Avon Chanel on a punt return Michael he's going to take it all the way to the crib but there's going to be some laundry on the field a penalty is going to bring that one back but don't you worry Frederick Douglas fance cuz the Broncos would score just a few plays later they redeemed themselves thanks to darari Talbert in the second quarter a very competitive game as we expected but Trinity wins this one 23-13 over at the farm man that's tough Douglas obviously going up to 6A it's a tough task going up to 6A so let's join Kobe Wilson is live at the game Colby I know that you talked to Douglas earlier in the week they were ready for this match up but Trinity man it's hard to get ready for a ball club like that yeah guys well obviously this game was circled on the calendar when the schedule came out I mean two top programs in the state like you said going head to head and both undefeated coming into week two so you know it's going to be a physical matchup and that what is what it was we saw early there was a scuffle on the sidelines Frederick Douglas players started running over and Coach mCP had to get him back going so it was a physical battle to say the least coach mCP told me earlier this week that to beat Trinity you have to be disciplined you can't turn the ball over and the Broncos gave the ball away three times tonight one being on their own seven where the Shamrocks capitalized for a touchdown in the third quarter Douglas was definitely a little quieter being down two touchdowns but coach mCP looked at his team and said what are we doing we're only down two scores let's go after that you saw a little more energy from them but the Trinity defense really just solidified the win for them they also just took it down the field just a minute ago and took a knee called this thing a game so it was a good one that's going to wrap it up for game of the week here I'll send it back to you guys in studio for more all right Kobe thanks a lot they will certainly look to bounce back all right let's go to another possible game of the week you were checking out Scott County last week the first home game in 30 years true official home game and it's the battle of the birds great Crossing Scott County and the card set the tone early how about this hit from Jaden Fields first play of the game knock the kids helmet off and got the stop early so they get the ball trying to make something happen but oh oh Buble Clayton Shad with the recovery for the warhawks big time moment to switch momentum and they had a heck of a sideline behind them too a ton of fans obviously took the short what three four five mile drive over to check out that game and they would punch it in Luke Ballard just rolling through that line to strike first seven nothing lead we've gone to all these different schools we have shown up and showed out the student sections know to bring it we are going to pick the one that brings it the most you know we love to see them you know painting their chest doing crazy stuff whatever it might be Bourbon County we talked to them last week we got a little taste of okay what are they going to bring to the table Bourbon County really showed out so let's play that for you real quick The Bourbon County student section you heard it last week they showed out so they're kind of saying we want the hype we got the hype we got the hype which is great so the home team hype award all you student sections out there you student section leaders if you're watching make sure to tune in to that contest and get your student sections
