all right Ben Parker of cardinal Sports support.com here with Stanford wide receiver Alec I am Manor so first of all just talk about how has fall Camp been treating you uh uh so far yeah it's good it's always a blessing to be able to play football and play the sport that you love and that's where're able to do these past I guess two or three weeks and so it's always great to do that yeah to also kind of talk about areas of your game what have you most been kind of working on in preparation for this season yeah just releases playing hard all the time um obviously rout running obviously a big thing all the time I mean really every aspect there's never a point um a part of your game that you don't want to be working on so really everything yeah too and also too just kind of talk about uh just how's how's kind of the relationship with uh with the quarterbacks going um and talk about too what have you seen from Elijah Brown the kind of new guy in the room there yeah everybody's been playing great it's it's a blessing to have a lot of good quarterbacks um you feel like you're always in good hands no matter who you're playing with and so yeah it's been great to just be able to catch great balls on a consistent basis yeah to just talk about as well um you know what have you seen from the defensive backs um going up against con right Zar Manley how those battles been yeah it's it's a great it's I mean at times it can just be it gets on your nerves you're competing against them for three weeks straight right and they're really good players and so um yeah but it's again it's a blessing to get to get to have those battles every single day um and we're definitely doing IR on iron we're getting better every day yeah too you know also just kind of talk about um you know how how excited are you to kind of have a full kind of healthy season ahead of you I know you you you had some surgery last coming off some surgeries and lot a year ago you were coming off a knee injury as well just kind of how does how do you feel kind of physically um and how does that kind of excite you for this upcoming season yeah they've done a good job taking care of us taking care of me and obviously I've been a lot more healthy this year than I was last year so it's always good to feel better um in your body um that just gives you provides you more confidence and your ability to play and so yeah it's a lot of positive things for sure yeah too you know also just talk about as well well kind of uh you know coach Osborne what has his what have his main points emphasis been with the with the room this this I think it's just always being detailed um I think if you can be detailed and disciplined and really just follow the coaching points um you'll be well off and I think uh we've done a good job of doing that this uh fall camp and we just have to carry that into the season yeah um any any young guys any young guys in the offense you know that have kind of stood out to you um as guys that are you know running backs other receivers that are kind of Center like guys that can make a real impact in year one from your perspective yeah I mean really all the receivers I would expect them to make an impact this year uh especially the young guys Jackson is all the uh even Marcus is probably going to make a really good impact for us chase uh all the young guys have been really good for us this fall camp and I'm excited to see what they get to do when the season comes when they get to play against some other teams and so yeah I'm excited for that and really in every other room I think the young guys uh the recruiting class coaches have brought in has been really good and really competitive and uh that's what you need to have a good football team yeah to just talk about kind of another kind of a what you've kind of seen from from bachmeyer and kind of the growth you've seen from him over the last year and what's he bringing right now yeah I mean tiger is like the guy that's always going to be very I guess committed to the process of getting better and so really you can expect him and I've seen him get better in every aspect um of what it means to be a football player um and so yeah it's really exciting to see him consistently getting better every single day uh that's something that I think is rare uh to to have that type of disposition um you know also too was kind of talk about one of the one of the one of kind of your kind of key traits is speed just kind of what do you do to kind of work on speed and maintain that aspect of your game yeah we just have a great uh strength staff I mean they uh uh just throughout the offseason have done a great job of getting every single person on team faster and obviously that translates to me at well yeah um and also too just kind of you know uh as kind of a speedy fast guy did you any did you get any opportunity to kind of watch some of the Olympics over the over the summer or yeah of course track and field and what kind what what's your favorite Olympic sports to watch Love track I love I watch I love watching track of field that's kind of what I do uh in my free time so yeah did of course I got to watch it with this was there a particular event that you particularly enjoyed watching this past year or uh maybe the 400 meter hurdles for the woman's side there was a world record there and so that was always great to watch one of those yeah and was it and for you personally as a track guy what was your kind of your favorite event to kind of run work on uh I guess 100 met is like the the stable event for any Sprinter and so I you say that so if there was a 100 meter dash against the team would you would you be the one to win that or who who would be the on the the team if you if you had like n Chase would win I think I'd come in second but Chase would probably win that one okay Chase Farah would probably take the 100 meter yeah very interesting um you know also two just kind of you you've had a chance to go up against Colin Wright um both of you are the two highest rated guys in the NCA video game have you guys talked about that at all or uh no no you've not t yeah you've not talked about that I don't think we care that much you don't think you don't need care that's all good um but in terms of real life football just talk about him and what's like going up against him and what areas of of Right game have you most seen kind of growth from yeah yeah he's like a very good corner I mean there's really not of areas of weakness that I can think of in his game and so like when you ask me to point out his strength like it's hard to because a lot of everything that he does is really strength um he's very patient obviously as he's athletic um it's hard to get clean releases on him because he's so patient so a lot of the times like you know that you're not going to win the route immediately like it's going to have to be like a battle throughout the whole route and so yeah like when you go against him you have to be locked in for the whole play it's not something that oh you know you're going to win off the release and then uh the rest is easy the whole route is going to be a a battle until the end and so it's a great going against him every single day in practice two more questions before I let you go just first what kind of thoughts on TCU that's coming up just how excited are you to kind of begin the 2024 season here yeah football again it's it's a blessing to be able to play the sport that you love and so to get another opportunity to have another season of football is something that I'm I'm grateful for final question for you know I'm studying Japanese so just kind of how's that been coming you keep that up or just how's that how's that coming for you I actually finished my language requirement and I finished it in San so I I didn't finish at the Japanese curriculum but I did finish s uh in what language San San yeah oh wow very cool so I guess kind of well kind of bonus question here just what made you choose kind of Samoan and just kind of what are some kind of differences between Japanese and Samoan and just kind of yeah on that yeah I think it just fit better with my computer science schedule for my major um the timings of the class fit better with the timings of the Cs class and so I had to prioritize my eight major there and I just ended up switching to Samoan um and differences I guess siman's like a very vly language um as compared to Japanese really any other language for that matter perfect thanks so much uh I'm out for taking the time and uh good luck rest of this uh fall Camp period before the regular season thank youas we go
