[Music] [Applause] [Music] well we got the ACC after dark action here with Stanford hosting their first ACC game or at least as a member of the ACC against the TCU horn frogs a big 12 fo where a lot to push it on people's recommended Pages who love college football and let's face it who doesn't love college football all right let's talk about this game between Stanford and the TCU horn frogs this is going to be a very interesting matchup you can see TCU is a nine-point road favorite with the money line sitting at plus 260 so let's try to make the case for the money line here let's try to talk about how Stanford could pull off the upset here so Stanford brings back Ashton Daniels who really played well down the stretch and it does definitely help when you got a stud wide receiver and Al G Manor who reached that th yards a year ago they're hoping that they get a little bit of an extra production out of the throw game without a Manor being the only guy to stand out but I do believe that Stanford's going to be able to throw the ball with relative success at least against some opponents I think TCU could potentially be one of those opponents that Stanford can throw the ball against I think that tcu's defense that they're matching up with is going to be pretty solid but they're going to be solid specifically being a able to use athletic linebackers to make stops short of the sticks and be able to stop fill in the Run game a little bit and I think that's what Caleb elims or and then also the guy that they bring back from a year ago OBO I think those two are going to be really good at linebacker for this team but who's going to be covering back deep Bud Clark is a really good player I think they got a couple of really experienced players but for the most part this TCU Squad the secondary it's it's not bad by any means but it's certainly not great in something that a solid throw game in an NFL receiver like AIC aom Manor can indeed expose now on the flip side how is Stanford going to be able to get stops because I think even if Stanford gets theirs being able to stop this TCU offense is going to be a little bit more of an uphill battle than what a lot of people think because Stanford's concern last year was their p rush and they're going to be leaning on guys like David Bailey like teiti to be able to get some pressure on the quarterback Josh Hoover on the other side but Hoover's got a lot of dynamic weapons to be able to throw the ball to they bring back guys like JP Richardson Savon Williams JoJo Earl who transferred in from Alabama before last season and then a transfer a couple of transfers in the throw game that he's going to be able to use Eric mallister coming in from Boise State the tight end Drake Dabney from bile so they're going to be pretty solid when it comes to throwing the football and rotating wide receivers they're going to have plenty of depth the thing I do definitely have question about is how will that protection be on the offensive line specifically with the two tackles we know what Mike Nichols is but we don't necessarily know what bless Harris is going to be how good of a player is bless Harris going to be on that offensive line is going to be the big question for the TCU horn frog in that front but the other question I'm going to have is what does this run game look like you I haven't really seen a proven commodity out of Cam cook and you've seen nothing but disappointment or injury from Trey Sanders So based on all of that you gotta hope that cam cook or Trey Sanders probably can cook at this point is going to be able to step up and be a good running back for you because if you put a whole lot of pressure on Josh Hoover Josh Hoover has shown the tendency to be a little bit inconsistent to not exactly be super trustworthy and what Stanford's going to do is if those couple of guys or whatever their rotation looks like is able to get a pass rush colum Wright then you have zarine Manley and also the safety in the back Mitch Leber who's also good and feeling in the Run game these guys are going to be able to to lock it down in that secondary for Stanford I mean the strength of this defense is definitely that secondary specifically Manley and Wright the two corners so their path to victory in this game is to be able to number one create a pass rush which is something they could not do last year number two be able to use alic a Manor to the best of his abilities those are the two things that Stanford is going to need to do to be able to win this game and I think that they're going to be able to get theirs with alic aom Manor Ashton Daniels running around too I mean Aston Daniels is definitely mobile for for sure he can move around he can get some yards the thing I have a question about with Stanford is if they can actually get that pass rush pardon me if they can't get that pass rush though and I don't count that they can consistently I think Josh Hoover in this offense is gonna eat and I also do think that cam cook is GNA be able to run the ball relatively successfully I think this offense will get theirs I think that TCU is going to have a little bit of a scare here Stanford scores late kicks an onside kick TCU recovers survives on the road the TCU horn frogs win this ball game by a score of 38- 31 so that is my official prediction for this game is TCU
