we've heard a lot about range anxiety so when an event came up near a boundary project in Northeast Washington we thought it was a perfect time to go on a road trip and test out an EV before leaving we did some planning using a tool called a better route planner it helped us map out the best places to stop to minimize our charge time as you can see we've got two stops planned one in Ellensburg one in Moses Lake and this is our car the Toyota bz 4X an all electric SUV that boasts an EPA estimated 236 m per charge as we headed over snow kwami pass we found that the battery was working pretty hard and it was down to 29% EV batteries charge slower after they hit 80% so we didn't want to completely fill it once we got to our first stop charged for 11 minutes to get 55% battery just long enough to enjoy some of ellenburgs finest Cuisine we then headed to our second stop in Moses Lake where we sto to relax for a little bit longer while we charge at a Tesla Supercharger the Tesla network has opened up to other manufacturers so it's a great option for most EVS we got up to 82% before heading on to Spokan finally we made it to our destination a breezy drive in an EV heading from Seattle to Spokane is a great option for anyone looking to escape western Washington for the weekend
