what's going on everyone Chris from piic dogs.com here with your free pick in the Michigan State versus FAU week one college football matchup going down Friday August 30th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between Michigan State and Florida Atlantic you got the Spartans coming in they have a new voice leading the charge and East Lancing they got Jonathan Smith coming over from Oregon State led the Spartans uh sorry leading the Spartans after he led the Oregon State Beavers to three straight winning seasons three straight bowl games for the first time almost 15 years and uh you know Aiden Charles coming over with his coach Charles was highly touted out of out of Washington and uh you know he comes over from cor Val to leads quarterback duties for the Spartans he's going to have some solid receivers for the uh for for the year at his disposal on Tory Foster Jack veiling comes over from Oregon State as well Geron Glover they got some great running backs at Michigan State as well Nate Carter Kon Lynch Adams coming over from UMass it's going to be a good Michigan State team and you know kind of one that I think is going to bounce back from that 4 and8 record for last season there's going to be some solid defense as well but the problem for Michigan State's defense is that the front seven lost a ton of talent but they did get some help in the transfer portal on the other side you got FAU who also finished 4 and eight last year they're going to have a new look offense as well cam fer transferring over from Marshall had a decent 2023 season through for over 2100 yards 11 touchdowns to 11 picks they've got saber Mosley back excuse me very Moy coming back a running back um they've got some transfers in themselves but the thing for me in this matchup is that you know these are two new look teams but I give a huge coaching Edge to Michigan State here now sure Tom Herman you know the year two of the Tom Herman era and vo Raton didn't go all that well but I still think that even if he is a solid coach I think Jonathan Smith is just better I think this is just what he does he's come in he takes a program that's been in a rough spot before he enters turns him around he did it in C valis at Oregon State took a one- win Oregon State team and like I said eventually took him to three straight bowl games I think he's going to do it in East Lancing like I said he brought a ton of talented pieces with him from cor vales I think there's just a lot more to like about the direction that Michigan state is headed FAU they're just they're in that Florida pipeline they don't get a ton of top tier names out of that out of that uh that pipeline while the other Florida programs do like Florida state Florida Miami I think just I think Tom Herman's a great coach but I think he's just up against it here now some people may say well you may be you know rushing the back the Michigan State Spartans out of the gate and you know maybe it might take take this team some time to gel but I think Michigan State's just the better team here I think they want to come out with some fire I think they want to come out with some purpose in week one I see them winning this game by at least 17 points like a 3417 kind of game so I'm going to take Michigan State here I'm going to lay the points and that's going to be my free pick but just just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those at pck dogs premium while your pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon by
