François Legault reacts to Youri Chassin's departure from the CAQ caucus

first I wasn't surprised of what yui said this morning because I know him since a long time we had many discussions including yesterday I would say that there are two major subjects uh uh uh that maybe uh uh we don't see the same way first uh the reform in the healthc care uh network uh Yuri thinks that we're not going fast enough but of course of course we need to negotiate with unions of nurses and doctors and it's not easy so me also I think that it it's not going fast enough but I think we need to be patient on the second subject regarding the deficit I don't like to see uh uh the deficit we have but we made two important choices uh uh decrease in taxes and on that urin myself we agree and we've increased by a big percentage salaries to nurses to teachers we did that around Christmas uh last year and of course it causes a a larger deficit and I think the more responsible position is to come back and erase this deficit set over 5 years but Yuri would like that we do that faster Mr is not the only one thinking that way what do you say to make sure that you retain uh your m&as in your caucus okay first uh I feel that I have the support of my co caucus all right and uh there was one this morning and I I I think that they still support me all of them he talks about a Mala among other m&as that also are unhappy about the deficit in various uh do do you think do you think you can control all of that dissent or that all of that um disappointment in the caucus an ideal situation is fun but in practice we need to be pragmatic we need to be realist realistic right uh uh I would like that negotiations with the FI and the fmq goes uh go faster but you see them uh uh they resist to the flexibility uh we're asking for and uh regarding the deficit uh I would like to see a lower deficit but I think I don't want to cut services and I don't want to increase income taxes so I think we need to take a responsible approach over five years uh uh maybe some like yui would like that we go faster but at the same time when I ask them all right which expense would you cut they have no answer but M sh is is the fourth m&a to leave your caucus do you not feel that you have any role to play in this any any changes that you feel you need to make um first there were different reasons for each of them uh I have enough experience to see that in all governments uh uh we see some people leaving for all kind of reason so I think still the number is very reasonable
