well thank you um I like the way that uh the first two practices have gone this week um very very focused uh you know have a huge challenge going into still water and playing a really really good Oklahoma State team um they're good at all three levels on defense have a superstar or more at all three levels on defense and certainly skill-wise as good a running back as there is in the country and slot and wide receivers offensive line has I think over 200 starts and so it to be really good special teams as well so be a huge challenge for us but uh uh I'm excited about taking our team over to Still Water all right first up we'll go to Bob hul by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette hey hey Sam how you doing good you know it's going to be kind of a homecoming game for for for luk hle I guess really playing over is not very far from home either but what are your thoughts on Luke and Dylan too getting to go back to their home state and play and maybe how excited those guys are I think it'll mean something to them um uh obviously you know myself being from Oklahoma it means something to go back into the state you just have more folks that you know more more tickets people want um but um you know they're obviously from Bigsby and still wat is not too far far away and and uh I'm excited for them uh it's ultimately it's it is another game uh it's a big game but and we have to play well but uh I'm sure they help more more people than normal even though it's probably close to the same distance to to from Bigsby to still water as it is uh here uh but you'll get a little bit more of the western uh Oklahoma crowd that that knows the has brothers and that that'll get over there to see them play so I'm sure they're very excited I haven't talked spoke to either one of them about it but I'm sure they're very excited to go uh into still water and and U uh play and and then Luke you know he obviously been out for most of the last year got got back on the field what did you see from him uh the other night and uh just I guess how do you think he's playing what are your expectations for him at this point yeah uh I think he's better than he was a year ago he's certainly stronger and and and faster um doing a better job at the point of attack as a blocker um you know has a new offense so did a good job of learning that but he's always been a wonderful athlete that loves to play obviously all them kids from Bigsby his brother as well you know they love football no no so high well coached in high school uh but I see him as as getting better and I think he will each year that he's here because he's such a hard worker but um bigger stronger uh better point of attack guy he's always been able to run routes and catch and he's doing that extremely well as well next we'll go to Joe mozado of the Oklahoma hey Sam uh growing up in Grove do you have any memories of this Oklahoma State Arkansas series from when it was played yeah I do uh 70 I don't know if it's 7879 in one of those two years U um back in back when I was growing up Oklahoma State and and Arkansas played quite a bit I think Arkansas played Tulsa as well um it was a good game to have in fville you know and uh uh because of proximity U or going over to still waterer and Tulsa uh but I do remember uh those games both teams were very very good and uh um I I believe I I got a I believe I went to one of those games when I was in high school um but yeah um I'm glad that it's it's uh the the game is being able to play you know somebody said it's been 44 years which means that's the exact same amount of time I've been out of high school so that kind of hit me a little bit but um yeah excited excited to have the game again and just to follow up on that can you speaking of the excitement can you since that knowing knowing this region as well as you do both in Arkansas and Oklahoma uh kind of the excitement to have this you know regional series back well it's exciting to my family I think I'm about 31 tickets or 32 tickets into the game you know so uh yeah I think I think it's a you know certainly um as well as you know Oklahoma coming into the SEC I think that will be something that's good for college football but I I think games like this are just really good for college football and and for regional football thank you next we'll go to Trey bidy of hul sports hey coach um Maris Robinson had an interception with South Alabama against Oklahoma State last year I've wondering if he's talked to you guys about that at all and um maybe have you been able to gleam any information from him since he was uh able to play them last year uh not not a lot of information but he certainly has talked about it you know uh so uh we knew that but he certainly let everybody know it as well you know but uh he's such a good kid and a hard worker uh not a lot of insight there more than what we what we've seen off of last year's tape and certainly their first game uh but he's proud of that interception I know that how did things change for you guys obviously a night game last time out and a in a morning game this time uh moving meetings around or maybe what you do the night before any of that kind of stuff change yeah it does um certainly we're trying to get the kids um out of meetings out of everything before 8:00 so we know we have a um an early uh rise the next day soda's Oklahoma State I mean I think everybody eats four hours before the game so whether you're them or us they've we've both got to get up it's probably 6:30 in the morning we just have a an hour hour 15 minute bus ride getting over there but uh I think our our key thing is we want to get them out of meetings and get them off their feet there's a good game SMU and BYU where they could go watch some college football but we want to get them off their feet and and drinking fluids and and U resting by 8:00 so we have uh moved uh some of our anytime we play 11 o'clock we move uh the night activity on Friday uh back so we can get the kids uh out of meetings earlier next we'll go to Tom Murphy the Arkansas Democrat Gazette hey Sam you said you practiced some with the noise I just wonder how that's uh worked with the the communications uh particularly on the offensive side to get ready for Saturday yeah I think you know there's there's your special teams can be affected you know your putt team um and certainly your offense really to be honest with you the greatest advantage that home teams have is how rockus how loud uh is their crowd uh so we' been cranking it up uh quite a bit um to be honest with you Tom we we we did that as well uh in our first we did it five practices uh in Camp uh knowing that we need to uh eliminate uh that problem uh potential problem uh so we had five going in before the last two days of of understanding communication and what we need to do um helmet you know Bobby to tailin as well as taen to the team and uh I feel like uh we're a very confident team uh in handling the noise uh certainly we didn't just wait and start this week so we we did it before so I think that that just goes into our confidence about handling uh the noise of the crowd on on Saturday morning gotcha hey um how has Andrew Armstrong looked in practices and um do do you have a a guess his availability and then also uh who who might taen like who could be a prime guy for him if if Andrew's not able to go well uh Andrew's uh gotten better from since um last week to Monday to Tuesday so uh he's improving each week whether he can go full speed or not on Saturday and this is not to hold anything back we have we have uh other good receivers uh I just don't know at this point but I will say that that he's looked a lot better um this week and even from Monday to Tuesday expecting him to look better uh today as well but you know we're we're confident in in that we've got five six seven receivers that you know they have speed we're catching the ball extremely well uh I like the schematics that coach patrino was running there uh if we have time if we can protect I feel like we've got adquate enough receivers that U you know broaden obviously is is a big Target that can run and Satan is playing extremely well and and of course Jordan Anthony can you know he's fast and uh then you look at Tesla we've got some guys Brown and we've got some guys that if Andrew's not able to play that we feel like we can stretch the field and and have some success that's your time coach thank you thank you
