CFTV: Chase Contreraz talks win over Northern Iowa - 9/2/23

rock band but kind of getting in that veteran experience in a room have you done that and has that been kind of intentional or just happened a little bit naturally um it was kind of naturally um yeah I'm 23 and up next all this specialist is like 20 years old so I kind of just felt like an older brother to these guys just taking what I've known from my previous schools and kind of instilled that in them too but no we're just a great group of guys and it's just been great to be here thank you thank you what was the competition like throughout the camp for you guys it was honestly some of the best competition I've ever had you know the other view kickers that I had were you know right on my tail the whole time we just kept you know battling out every practice helping each other get better so I'm grateful for them what do you feel like allowed you to separate yourself at the end to get the job just staying consistent especially with the deeper deeper kicks I think that's something Coach Campbell really took a hold of and allowed me to build that trust with them it was something for you to validate that with a 56-yarder that is the consistency under pressure from distance yeah I guess uh so I'm grateful for that opportunity I hope I can keep it up throughout the year absolutely
