for this to wait a little bit longer so was going your oh yes sir it was kind of the first time I've ever had like any like monster delay like this so it's definitely different you know like there was several times we're getting up uh putting our shoulder pads on getting ready to walk out oh you got to go back uh that happened two or three times so then finally people just took off their shoulder pads like laying on the ground and stuff uh it's just different uh definitely like with mentally like trying to get mentally ready for like three different times stuff like that but uh at the end of the day um both teams had to do it uh so same circumstances and and that was kind of how it was for me as well do you think it took longer to settle into the game what you got up there wait so long oh yes sir I I wouldn't say if that had like um something to do with it or just first game stuff but uh there was definitely some stuff we had to figure out in that that first uh quarter uh first first and second drive just Personnel um kind of just being Lac ofical with that um just um not lacad isical but just some stuff with the the technology that we hadn't ran into yet with crowd noise stuff like that so uh definitely getting into that was good but um you know obviously it's week one we're going to have some stuff to clean up and we'll be looking forward to doing that for week two the QB draws you took a couple of shots did that get you loose and kind of all right we're ready to go now oh yes sir um definitely U uh two rules like uh going all the way back from high school with my dad and stuff third down and uh for a touchdown obviously you're going to try to go get that but other than that try to protect yourself so just uh maybe I was just a little amped up or going in tonight or something but uh just you know just trying to get some some yards for the boys that ability to keep plays alive in the pocket is that something you've always been able to do or you uh you know it's just kind of just taken like basically what the defense gives you um wouldn't say it's something I pride myself on or try to do or just constantly thinking about you know uh first and second read all right if I have time for my third read is he there if not obviously try to uh expand the play if um if the rush allows that if the coverage allows that and then obviously those dudes are doing a great job of getting open on the perimeter in the third quarter you all were taking some shots the third time was a charm what went right on that that long play to jamor that maybe didn't uh jamori um he uh he did his job basically uh win his one-on-one on the perimeter uh give us the best release and then go catch the ball uh I kind of had had ball faked and put my eyes to the middle of the field to try to see where that safety was um actually kind of went to like a little four so he was playing down to the boundary but but uh jamori he he did his job he's he won on the outside for a split second he was so wide open I was like just don't overthrow him like he's he's he's he's done a really good job with the line just try to put it on him and he'll make a play and uh yeah as y'all saw tonight just put anywhere near those dudes and they're going to go they're going to go get it for you it didn't take long for everybody to see Barry on there was a concerted effort to get him the ball early in the game oh absolutely I mean that's one of the best players in college football I mean it'd be it'd be remiss if you're not trying to get number seven the ball but uh there's definitely playmakers all over the field out out there and uh it's tough I mean I'm glad I'm not calling plays cuz I mean who you're going to try to get the ball to with all those dudes out there so uh really fortunate to have a bunch of those guys that are are can go and make plays at any given time you said earlier in the week that you going to be so excited you think you sleep so two parts your a did you sleep since this game was going so late oh yeah how how how tired were you going to be there uh yeah I mean it's going to be it's going to be tough waking up for church tomorrow uh to say the least but no last night wasn't the best night's sleep but uh that's it's normal at this point but uh obviously this is way past my bedtime even on a normal night so uh yeah it'll be it'll be rough waking up for church but I mean we'll be there last one Brock uh you is there um when when you finally kind of started going getting into that Rhythm could you could you feel like a change at all um and do you have any unfinished business knowing like was getting going and then they they kind of took the game away from me there yes sir um basically just it's kind of just grooving as offense is the thing that I was thinking about and uh just when whenever we're like we want to play fast on offense whenever we're able to get lined up fast um because some of those stuff like there's checks on different plays stuff like that and we're able to line up line up or line up fast and get ready to go then we're able to to get in in uh different plays and and Prime looks that we're looking for so uh whenever we were able to get going fast and moving I mean you can just tell the offense like the o Line's fired up skill guys are fired up we're running the ball better in those occasions so uh kind of just trying to get trying to just find that Tempo that we're looking for and uh there's definitely a happy medium but uh you saw the huddles the fast break huddles stuff like that so just just whatever is working for us is what we're going to try to do all right thanks Brock we'll have Johnson next
