well folks that wasn't the start we expected in Tuscaloosa Alabama looked more like a team lost in the woods than the Crimson Tide we know and love USF came ready to play and Alabama seemed caught off guard the Bulls defense was stingy holding back the TI's powerful offense first quarter ended 3 to7 USF on top could you believe it now don't go hitting the panic button just yet folks it's a long game and we know coach Sabin doesn't take kindly to slow starts he's probably giving those boys an earful in the locker room as we speak but got to give credit where credits doe USF came to play still I don't think anyone saw this coming the tide looked out of sync missed assignments dropped passes you name it they did it it was like watching a brand new team try to figure things out not the dominant performance we've come to expect from the tide we all know Alabama is capable of much better the question is can they find that next level and take control of this game we'll have to to wait and see what the second quarter brings second quarter started with a bang Jaylen milro said hold my sweet tea and took matters into his own hands he scrambled for a touchdown showing off that athleticism that makes him so dangerous touchdown Alabama milro wasn't done folks he threw a dart to Kobe Prentice for another touchdown the tide was starting to look like the tide again but USF wasn't backing down kicking a field goal to keep things interesting halftime score 14 to6 Alabama not exactly the blowout some folks predicted but hey a win's a win right milro definitely stepped up and gave the tide a much needed spark now let's see if they can carry that momentum into the second half this game is far from over third quarter was a bit of a snoozefest got to be honest both defenses tightened up and neither team could find The End Zone but hold on folks because the fourth quarter that's when things got wild Jam Miller remember that name he exploded onto the scene with a 56-yard touchdown run that sent the crowd into a fren talk about a statement play Miller showed off his speed and power leaving USF defenders in the dust that touchdown seemed to break the dam for Alabama they were firing on all cylinders and USF just couldn't keep up justice Haynes added another touchdown for good measure just to rub it in a little this game was a tale of two halves folks Alabama sleepwalked through the first half but they woke up in a big way in the second milro Miller hannes these guys put on a show section four a Crimson Tide Rises final score Alabama 42 USF 16 a convincing win in the end but it definitely wasn't a walk in the park USF gave him a run for their money in the first half I'll give him that this Alabama team is still a working progress but they showed flashes of Brilliance tonight mil's leadership Miller's explosiveness haynes's deter mination these are all good signs for the tide now let's talk about the elephant in the room that first half performance coach Savin is going to have them running gassers all week after that one they got to come out with more fire more intensity from the opening whistle but hey I'll wins a win and they're 2 and 0 time to focus on the next challenge and what a challenge it's going to be section five a stadium fit for Legends speaking of challenges did did you see that brand spanking new Bryant Denny Stadium talk about a palace fit for Kings they officially dedicated it to the bear himself coach Briant and it was a sight to behold the atmosphere was electric even with the Tide's slow start fans were fired up the place was packed and you could feel the history in the air it's only fitting that this Alabama team gets to make history in a stadium this legendary now I know what some of you are thinking Paul you're getting soft in your old age talking about stadiums and history but listen there's something special about college football something that goes beyond just wins and losses it's about tradition it's about passion it's about moments that will stay with you forever and this new Bryant Denny Stadium it embodies all of that and more it's a testament to the legacy of Alabama football and a sign of great things to come section six dogs on the horizon speaking of great things to come next week folks it's the big one Alabama versus Georgia the game we've all been waiting for the Tide versus the dogs the rainning national champs now I ain't going to sugarcoat it this is going to be a tough one for Alabama Georgia is loaded with Talent they're well coached and they're hungry for another championship but hey this is Alabama we're talking about they don't back down from a challenge I expect a knockdown drag out fight to the finish both teams are going to leave it all out on the field and it's going to come down to who wants it more I can't wait to see what unfolds so buckle up butter cup because it's going to be a wild ride the SEC is back baby and it's going to be epic
