what's up Yankees fans you have been waiting for news on Jason Dominguez and Clark Schmidt's return and position on the Yankees roster I got that news for you and I got footage of what they're doing in the miners and what the Yankees plans are before I get into that I would need you to like this video And subscribe to my channel for the best coverage of New York Sports and the best coverage of top trending Sports topics and documentaries all right Guardian series shows you all the info need to know about why Dominguez and Schmid are going to be parts of the r love to see y gck Cole yank's Aces back he's at a 1.5a in the last three starts gives up a leadoff single on his second Pitch of the game to Steven Quan and that's him getting out of the first inning guess what that would be the last hit the Indians get all day glaber Torres they're bashing him he doesn't belong bashed with Verdugo and lame Hugh all right you know why because Torres has been doing all right in the lead of spot he's getting on base he's just not slugging there's Cole throwing a knuckle curve with the strikeout and guess what it's almost not even News Aaron judge isoo his 48th home run of the year and right behind them oh the sack fly by Austin Wells getting Ben rice into score beautiful and uh this is exactly what the Yankees need later on they intentionally walk judge and right behind him with two on Jean Carlo Stanton Jean Carlo it's about time you got that big wooden stick off your shoulder I don't know how the heck you drove that pitch to center field because I've seen you chase it and miss about a hundred times but okay and gck Cole there you go see him with Torres hustling turning a great athletic double play to get him out of that inning and you see tonin coming in to complete the game the Yanks win yesterday on Thursday 6 nothing in the rubber match at Yankee Stadium Day game take the series against the Guardians to to one which was their biggest series of August I wish they would have swept a few Series in all those easy matchups that they had this was their toughest at least they didn't lose the series and they looked pretty good uh taking you back the highlights from game onean soda taking it deep there for number 30 5 in game one SOA man this guy knows how to bet on himself turns down 440 mil at age 23 and here we are just over two years later and guy's going to probably get a 14-year contract pushing 700 million and if game one if uh Soto's going deep wasn't enough of course judge continues on his streak it would be uh one home run there number 46 be one of his three RB on the day you see him just bash it into Monument Park I mean it's almost like I can't even talk about it with enthusiasm anymore these guys playing against one of the best teams in the AL and he's hitting home runs every day like it's nothing they end up losing in the 12th inning as you guys know this is old news like I said this is the first game of the series from uh Tuesday and and uh luckily they um were able to rebound all I'm going to say about this game some things that you see that are going to be themes lahu 0 for five all right you see that Tores got on base twice even though he didn't get a hit in the leadoff spot good things all right nesto ctez started in h game two and Soo gets his 36 home running game two that's right career high and judge he adds to it there's his H 46 right there and he would later hit his 47th and this check swing with the bases loaded and then up going down the line inside the third base bouncing off the wall clearing the bases SoDo is flying on his hustle base running and gets tagged out trying to make a triple out of it um you know and there you go there's the uh home run that I referred to this is second of the game that's 47 on the year and um you know the Yankees Cru in this game Soto and judge combined for eight RB and they would win the game 8-1 and Nester Cortez was back to be a nasty Nester he's dominating righties even look at that strikeout strikeout strike out against the righties all right so let's get into the issues guys so I don't do fake Cooks I don't do clickbait I said I'm going to talk about Jason Dominguez and I am and this guy is one of the big reasons that I'm enabled to do so look at Alex Verdugo while I'm talking check out the Highlight this is him and his last 10 games what he's done so you know the guy's bat in 174 in August 174 you know what my grandmother Kat 174 and she died in 2016 I truly believe that she could hit 174 for Dugo I made a point when everyone was telling me that I'm nuts that it's not going to happen that the worst case scenario for Jason Dominguez in September is that Aaron Boon platoon left field n DH and Jean Carlo plays against lefties Dominguez plays whenever Jean Carlo or Verdugo is benched and they all try to play two out of every three games splitting left field and you know maybe Jean Carlo if you know Verdugo where Dominguez is hot and he's playing against a righty since he really hasn't shown much power against him maybe even misses some but that's turned around Verdugo has been so bad that the only reason you'd keep him on a playoff roster is because he's a great Fielding outfielder with a left-handed bat but I see plain and simple I mean if Stanton can up the power then guess what the MinGa is just going to slide into verdugo's spot he might even be the leadoff hitter who knows if not he'll be batting somewhere in the middle of the lineup I'm sure and this guy DJ lahu you got to know about DJ right Yankees signed him to a Smart deal he's a traditional baseball player out of the 80s when age 24 to 25 is you know 23 24 25 that's when your Prime starts and it ends at 31 30 you know 30 31 32 and then you have 3 years of Decline and you're done and by the time that you're 34 35 36 you're out well when Don't You Know It DJ lame who was 36 this year year and if you look at his last three seasons all right following a great first year with the Yankees a even greater 50 game stretch in his second year but he did Miss 112 games in this season he is batting under 200 and he was injured for most of the year the last three seasons year three four and five with the Yanks he's average about 135 games a season he's averaged batting about 260 which is literally 355 points less than his career average at the start of that three-year span he brought himself down underneath the 300 career Mark to around 290 and he can't slug at all this guy has always been a contact hitter he won a batting title in Colorado but you know if he didn't have the ability to fill in and play any position in the field he wouldn't be on the team right now because I mean even that grand slamy hit was a review grand slam it barely got over the fence when he had the walk-off hit it was a dribbler single he can make contact but he can't put much more force on it then again my grandmother and this guy I don't know with Chisum coming back with oswalo Cabrera even with perza I mean there there are guys that can push him and if Torres you know starts to hustle and starts to hit contact he pretty much turns into what lameu is except he's performing because Torres also is not slugging like the glaber Torres we know and that's a mystery uh but you know over the last few games you know he's batting about 275 with a 360 something on base in that leadoff spot he's walking he's getting singles he's making big plays in the field I mean uh it's not crazy that I guess Anthony Rizzo could play first it's not crazy and lame who could be left off that postseason roster now look at Jean Carlo I want to pull up the stats that when he got hurt check out his June bats 304 in June with five home runs right five home runs in June and if you look at his May stats he's B in 217 with seven home runs so you know May and June right before he getss hurt he is batting collectively about 250 Slug and 500 with 12 home runs and 29 RBI in about 40 games yeah I mean that's a guy on Pace to hit 48 home runs and driving 115 runs with a 250 batting average that you get that out of jun Carlo Stan at this point in the career nobody can beat the Yankees but he gets injured like always like always um and let's not forget that the June and may followed in abysmal uh April so in July comes back very slow he'll come back and he has a little stretch in August that he against the Angels uh where he hits I think it started actually against uh yeah it was I think it was with the Ang he hits some doubles home run and I think it was four out of five games he had an extra base hit and he had seven RBI and a six game stretch so you know looking at the beginning of August okay and then since then he's done nothing until last night it was a very big hit and a very big moment that they needed him to come through on a very bad pitch that usually strikes out on let's hope he can turn it around what you're looking at here is the statistics of one Jason Dominguez all right this is the guy batting average year in the miners in the limited time he's been hurt this is uh them activating him calling him up and sending him back down he played in that game where they got two extra roster spots in Puerto Rico and I want you to see what led to you know in his J is Low batting average 214 but he's still a 353 on base percentage this guy is lightning fast you know picture Bo Jackson about 3 or 4 Ines shorter and I'm talking in in every aspect of course he's not as fast as bow but he's not not that far off this is a single with Bases Loaded he bashes it against the wall but you know what you saw before that was him leg out a double that would have been a single he gets an infield single here um he beats out throws very look right this is an example look at this look who who beats that throw and then not only beats it to be safe but forces a bad throw and ends up turning it into a double so this is the game right before the Yanks brought him up he had three hits in four at bats he drove in a couple runs he had a single I think two singles and double here's look here's another single look at the S are you kidding me the guy beats out to like he is just like Bo Jackson this is his last home run that he hit this was about uh 10 days ago now um but you know this is what preceded him being CAU up I mean he's back he's healthy they're going through the motions they made him work first on making contact in Late July and uh they've turned him loose now to do his thing and you know he did strike out four times when in the game with the Yankees but you got a chance to see his Cannon arm on display he screwed up for the last out against the Tigers last out of the game he double clutched but it was because I don't think he thought they were going to test him and they did anyway he's going to be on the team and he's going to contribute and if the Yankees are going to win it's going to be because he's playing a prominent role he can be a Difference Maker and I know he's a rookie but that's the batting order I want to see what I just flashed on this screen I want to see him leading off with stto judge standing behind him all right and speaking of players in the miners that were waiting to come up this is the uh box score from the uh on Wednesday that heel had some stiffness had to come out after three you get two innings from Hill uh solid for your Lefty except he walked one and gave up two hits what you're going to see now is close to two weeks ago the triaa Rehab start against the Boston Red Sox tripa affiliate Clark Schmidt pitching right he is mowing people down he St breaks out 11 batters in his first start back as a tripa a member of the scant wils bar Yankees and he strikes out 11 in five innings five innings 11 strikeouts this is hard footage you see him striking out people here uh I think he was on a you know three inning uh 50 pitch count limit but he still struck out four people in daa on his first uh rehab assignment um you know Clark schmi is going to also come back and I predict be a very big impact in the Yankees uh rotation he has his curve working he has his fast ball working he's going to be a part of their success
