Sleeper Bowl 2024 ft Deestroying & Kurt Benkert

pocket pres with Kurt banker and tonight we're continuing an annual tradition since 2019 that has brought together athletes fans and celebrities to compete for charity and exciting prizes and this year we're taking the sleeper Bowl to a whole new level by teaming up with two of football's top creators on the entire internet but before we meet them let's say hi to Lucas from Team sleeper to find out more about what we can expect from this year's Super Bowl draft what's up everybody we are looking to have a very fun and exciting draft for everybody but before we get into that I'm going to run through some features that we added in the off season for those who aren't familiar we added two new free-to-play uh Fantasy games in survivor pools and pick and pools it's the name sleeper UI that you love but now we make survivor pools and pick them pools going to be a great time uh we also added uh draft emojis uh in terms of reactions on the sleeper draft board so you guys will be able to see that tonight um if you if someone has a draft pick and you think it stinks drop a poop emoji on it if it's good drop the scholar cap emoji on it that's going to be a ton of fun I can't wait to put a poop emoji on one of uh Kurt's picks uh then also we added Auto sub which is a very polarizing feature this took social media by storm when we added it uh it is actually a feature in which you can protect yourself against uh game time decisions for those who aren't always available right when the games kick off you can actually assign a substitute for a starter and then if that starter ends up being out it automatically swaps them this is an optional feature but I in my opinion it's a great feature for those who aren't always available so definitely start that conversation in your league and decide whether or not you guys want to add that to your to your league uh obviously put it to a vote though uh we also added uh game chat and player chat so if you're not watching the game you could watch game chat in in the app and it's a play byplay you can react to each play and also chat along hence the name game chat and obviously sort of the same thing with player chat on the each player news card on the player cards you can go down and uh scroll to see what the latest news on is per player and then once you do that you could have a chat with other people talking about the same injury start whoever's starting whoever's not starting have all conversations about that as well as dropping reactions as well and we also have a special treat on September 8th I cannot tell you guys what it is but trust me I'm sure everyone will be very excited to hear about it so stay tuned I know that was a lot but yeah there you go people want destroying Lucas and we're going to see a couple of these features in action here in a second but before we get to that let's meet two of our team owners Kurt bankert and dying we're gonna bring them on the screen right now boys how are we doing just look man I'm gonna take best available I'm gonna be a good GM take best available stack the team and look for trades later that's what we're doing D do you have a strategy coming into tonight uh it's a lot of good people I could pick man I don't got no strategy this is my first time playing fantasy in a lot of years so we G to shake the dust off shake the rest off and just get right man looking to win I love it I love it let's go over a couple rules before we hit start on this draft this is going to be a standard 12 team full PPR league with the top six teams earning a playoff spot at the end of this year the other 10 team owners were selected by D and Kurt via social media and we're going to hear from a couple of them as this stream goes on tonight now throughout the season each of those players will have the chance to win exclusive prizes like their pick of one of Kurt's brand new di lab footballs fan appearances at one of D's one-on-one events in exclusive sleeper gear tonight's draft was randomly selected as kurk called out he has the number one overall pick D you have the seventh spot and with that out of the way let's not waste any more time Kurt you're I'm going receiver man I'm I'm definitely big uh Zero running back strategy kind of guy you got to pick a running back my boy I know that noise all right you know you know what it is you know what it Le I'm in so I'm concerned about McCaffrey's Health this year a little bit I know he got banged as the SE season went on and I think that last year they used him a lot more to try to keep that uh touchdown title going they were trying to get those consecutive touchdowns I think this year um they just ran out of steam in the in the Super Bowl and I think they're going to do a little bit more to conserve their guys so I just don't think we're going to see CMC dominant like Undisputed number one pick this year that's my thought and we have Trent Williams obviously holding out y Trent Williams holding out like I don't know man I I just CMC is one of the best in the league but oh Jamar Chase hasn't even signed yet croman that's got to be Harry I mean we might not see Jamar step onto the field for the first couple of weeks to take him fourth overall there seems a little risky damn dude I hate that I'm seven freaking pick so this you you're coming up D you're coming up next yeah I love it are you gonna you might not want to leak your pick Steve because they might be they might be watching but but talk us through what you're thinking here a lot of good guys off the board so far uh thankfully sleeper has kind of order of who's best up so I'm trying to see who's who the next guy's picking and I'll make my decision we got some emojis already on these picks people were not a fan of third round fourth round I'm not going to lie the draft that I just did with like my league league uh last night my first running back taken was David Montgomery and I wasn't too happy about it so like I don't think I want to wait that long but um what I think it was Auto pick he didn't pick um Auto pick on sa they Auto picked saquan so I'm going either jeda or beon and I think the easy pick is my boy J yeah I love Jedis could have went one bro like I think they're gonna feed him over there I mean it don't matter who they got at quarterback with the Vikings they gonna feed Jed us they just guys you got options we're gonna bring on Cameron who's picking at the 11 spot big C7 cards Cameron my friend welcome on you went Jonathan Taylor etn the opposite of the Kurt strategy you went double running backs walk us through that so I mean it's a it's a gamble right double running back in a three wide receiver league but I don't know etn and Jonathan Taylor Jonathan Taylor ended the year on a bang he's got Anthony Richardson back now got some good wide receiver options over there and etn I don't know I think the Jaguars come back with a fire under their butts at this point man that that that season was tough they're coming back strong I think etn is the is the center of that uh that offense yeah I like etm man I think he's anytime he gets the ball in his hands they could go to the house um I like I don't I don't mind in a league like this taking running backs I think think you kind of have to you for consistency Chad let me know who y'all thinking man who y'all thinking who y'all thinking we almost up uh Cameron you got a you have a strategy now looks like you need wide receiver and you don't have to leak who you're thinking but I'm assuming you're gonna go wide receiver here are you a quarterback early guy what what are you thinking I'm I'm thinking wide receiver I I I usually wait a little bit on the quarterback uh there's some good options down there that people don't really think about I'm hoping nobody here thinks about it but see draft now so pretty seasoned here I think the first time drafting at 11 I personally like it I like 11 all right we're sort on to Josh Jacobs who do you guys have in that first game Eagles Packers that's a tough I'm I'm gonna go Packers yeah I don't know I feel like they just were hot at the end of last year and I mean just actually change things oh indoor is great because you don't have to worry about any weather or any nothing like if you's worst enemy is wind bro so yeah so it's not even like the rain it's the wind no I mean obviously the rain too but you got to deal with the win no matter what yeah would you how much would you say that like like your indoor or outdoor kicking percentage would change like or one of these guys I mean it it depends obviously it's just so many factors to deal with because if you have a a wind that's blowing directly in your face your your leg's probably not gonna kick as far if it's sideways you gotta account for that sometimes you account for it and the wind does nothing to it so indoors you're just hitting a true ball it's kind of like throwing bro you gotta throw into wind it's a lot tougher When You Gotta Throw with wind it might throw the ball off but kicking wise I think it's a lot easier to kick with no wind I think any kicker can agree yeah I'm like if you're going to hit like if you were indoors and let's say like your 50 yard kicker closer and you're going to hit 90% 10 m per hour wins Outdoors would that bring you down to like 70% like 60% like well I mean a good kicker is going to be able to adjust but just that being in the back of your head like I gotta deal with this wind yeah it could throw some guys off yeah I feel that and I mean the further out you go the more you have to deal with the wind so if you're 35 yards 40 yards you might not play the wind but if you're back 55 maybe even 60 you're definitely gonna have to play for the win I feel that we get to the bottom of the bottom boys three rounds left three picks left man this is where it's like you don't know who's going to go it's just like guys have to take the guys they like Kurt you picked lger you were there when Raheem was in Atlanta yes sir Raheem during my time went from receivers coach to defensive coordinator to head coach and I don't know if that's ever been done like Raheem has so much ball knowledge across the board that it's like that's the kind of guy that you definitely want leading in organization and I just I think the Falcons are going to be so damn good and not even because like they're going to be the best team in the league just because their division sucks so bad and they're going to be competent enough with enough talent that they should like be a solid team and have a pretty clear path to the playoffs how does that work that a guy goes from receivers coach to D coordinator I mean does that yeah happen a lot in the NFL no so he was he has a defensive background but when he got hired to Atlanta he was coming from I think a head coaching job he was the head coach for the Bucs for a little while um some somehow found on his way in Atlanta with um Dan Quinn and they wanted to leave a spot for him so they left him the receivers coach spot where a lot of position coaches you're not even really teaching so much about the position as much as you are relaying information from the top down and so not to say that he didn't know anything about receiver play he did but I feel like a lot of coaches can kind of coach in different positions regardless of if that's their expertise or not so um yeah I would say position coaches more so than anything are about clear communication and relaying game plans and stuff from the offensive coordinator but the more they know about that specific position the better obviously it's kind of like a Vibes higher it's like like Vibes we just want them around it matters yeah D I see
