so today is such an important game for the fever but right now it might be it might be one of the most important games for H Nelissa Smith as well especially when we've seen like Nelissa Smith go and not have a couple of rough games I'm not going to say bad games but they have been a few rough games and also the fact is again that her brother was calling out besides Trader and she should be traded and if you guys are interested in doing it or in being here for a watch along for the stream subscribe we're trying to hit 21.1k or 28.1k by the end of the night that would be incredible if we could but if you um like have looked at the last game like she got cooked by F Coler and it wasn't simply just F Collier being like like some bad situations for like her team that oh they switched like again that's the one thing like her brother is her biggest fan and I'll always always always support that but like there were a couple of like plays in that game I think it was like two consecutive plays where she just got hit by back door cuts by not even focusing like the game started off not in a good way and like fee absolutely cooked her to start the game and it was just even the start of third quarter it was a struggle it was a struggle for Nelissa Smith because fee is just better alall movement like I think it's this play right here where they attack the basket and listen I don't understand what what she's trying to do like I do not understand what she is trying to do in this scenario like she is not she is ball watching not looking a f Collier like I'm sorry the threat is fee klier she's maybe the MVP she's maybe the MVP gives up an open lip and the worst part is like you might say play in isolation if you look at what's happens like two or three plays later I got four each where is it is this it like Fe obviously absolutely cooked and like this play right here the next play when fee scores again is like just not good defense so obviously Courtney Williams dribbling the ball up and you can see this screen like very clearly they're not switching this is meant to be a hedge and recover there's no way K CL is meant to be switched on to fee and then fair enough the ball's there so what do you do in this area you're actually not in terrible position just cut her off here runs at a weird angle and somehow like decides to reach around the back like that's again the next time F Coler touches the ball at four each and the worst part is is that this is how the next play ends up being Caitlyn Clark gets the ball into Kaye L Samson who misses and then watch watch Thea Smith on this play Just jog back on defense jog back jog back jog back oh fee is her this is bad by the way this is bad transition defense by Caitlin Clark Caitlyn Clark you've got to pick up fee you are back in position like it is you it can be no what Nissa Smith can do is bad but it's bad defense on Caitlyn clar and also bad on Leah Boston this is just bad transition defense by the team this is a bad defensive possession all around but late on that one F carlier Buck it like again that is three possessions in a row that is literally that is six points for free Collier that is three that's six that's three in a row like so not three from F ker she missed one of them that's three layups for f ker given up in and I'm sorry like for people wondering like why is she not being pulled that is three defensive lapses in a row and yes one of them was also a defensive lapse on Caitlyn Clark but it's three in three possessions while jogging back on defense in one of them like you can see why she's she's being subbed off early in the game so this is a game where you're not matching up to Coler you're not matching up you're matching up the Parker tus or Naz Hillman this has got to be a 15 and 10 game for Nissa Smith because she's the best rebounder on this team she's a better rebounder than Leah Boston doesn't box out she can be a good scorer she finishes better than anyone else on this team that's we've got to see it from Smith because especially like I actually I genuinely do think if you do face the Minnesota links in the playoffs niss Smith can't see the FL but like Nelissa Smith has to at least show that she is the uh that outside of a couple of matchups where they just are so good off the ball that she's going to um be struggle they're going to be targeting her that she has to be the number three or number four option she has to show that she's outside of one specific matchup issue that she should be a starter and the Chicago Sky game is going to be Grim like it's this is not a this is going to be a make or break week for Nelissa Smith she's got this game here where she was their best player the last time they played the dream she was brilliant the last time they played the dream this is a matchup easy matchup this is one of the very few teams in the WNBA that without question have a worse starting power forward than her and then she's facing off against D Carrington she's been awful against Connecticut Sun this year and then afterwards last game of the week is the Chicago sky where Angel ree destroyed her so if there's ever been a make or break week in the Lissa Smith's career it's this week and again this is someone who is don't care what anyone says who's an All-Star Talent she's an All-Star talent but being an All-Star talent doesn't mean anything it doesn't mean anything if you can't put it together on the current team you're at right now because again I do think she might put it together on a different team I do think that we don't see her on the fever after the season but for the sake of this season I think if she has three by games in a row you're looking at tamy fle starting like Tam's back there's no guarantee Melissa's starting for the rest of the season like Tammy's back so it's a big week for her it's a really big week so let me know what you guys think you guys think she should have been already dropped do you guys think she should um like she should be coming off the bench you guys think she should be out of ir rotation I don't think it's that far but I do think that I think it's she's very very close to being benched and she's someone that I don't know if she comes she's comes off the bench well um like she has him in good really any of the games she was all right against the mystics actually Off the Bench but the one other game was at Seattle during the year when they started Tami I didn't think she was great so yeah it's it's a tough one it's a tough one I think that if she doesn't play well tonight and in against Connecticut I think tamy f benley is going to start against Chicago I think maybe starting tamy F benley against Chicago is just the right decision in general because I think Angel ree has a tougher time on tamy than she has on um on Nelissa Smith but you know if she plays well today she'll earn and keep that starting spot but anyway that's the video thank
