experience hail State 2024 Edition uh yes and I'm excited to talk Mississippi State Bulldog football as you know obviously we had the intro there with Mike Lee was a friend of the program rest in peace to the great coach leech but I've always kind of uh I've always kind of had a uh uh you know there's something I like about old Mississippi State football since way back in the days um when I first started getting into college football so big year obviously the SEC uh no SEC East no SEC West getting rid of Divisions you add in Texas and Oklahoma 12 team playoff looming a lot of great stuff and they go out and hire Jeff lebby we'll talk about that in the second but perhaps you're wondering just who the hell you're listening to and that's fair my name is Kobe swinging D to B Dad aka pck d d That's not a piic this is a pick he was raised in the land down under where a man thinks on his feet speaks with his fists and lives by his wits when dunde happened he was a superstar I'm probably drinking too much and celebrating too much and not sleeping would have killed a normal man but now that's gone medical advice I got from that was was like being hit by lightning pretend it never happened and get on with your life Hil State all right hell State hang on uhoh pulling out the pulling out the cowbell let's go hail State all right they might have moved egg bow they might have moved the egg bow to a Saturday or no a FR Black Friday hey look egg bow is turky Day football the [ __ ] doing TV exx we want the egg bow on Thanksgiving flag on the play with moving this [ __ ] anyway not only that it's during the day what the hell are they doing touching my sacred Egg Bowl I love the Egg Bowl especially late at night on Thanksgiving you're already drunk you're hung over and I want to see some violence and you're going to see it at that Egg Bowl dude look let's talk about this for I I got to introduce you in a second but no let's I'll introduce you it up for the uh the host of the this they wanted this tandem to come up hook up you know and uh get into it and I and I knew you would love Miss I always had an affiliation for Mississippi State as well um any any kind of little brother complex for you know in a dirty filthy just absolute mudslinging State like Mississippi Jackie Cheryl yes I like his stories he he planted a bunch of trees by that Stadium there in Starkville uh and he said you know old Mrs spying on us put some of these big ass trees all right make sure that make sure no one can see our [ __ ] plays all right uh but let's look you know the hyp there's a lot of hype on the game Ohio State Michigan I watch it every year love the Rivalry lot of hype behind the Iron Bowl you know Army Navy I love all these rivalries but one of the lowkey filthiest great rivalries there's two that three that really come to mind and that I think are underappreciated from a national standpoint and this is how you can in a way you can kind of know if someone loves col football or not if they know that they have to watch the Backyard Brawl is one West Virginia pit right where they [ __ ] hate each other yes they they like it's just a low-key underrated rivalry the holy war BYU Utah I think criminally underrated and the Egg bull the egg bull it it's just it's a perfect rivalry I it should never go away it should always be on Thanksgiving because how many people really want to watch the Detroit Lions you know what I mean mean like okay they made the playoffs last year but they've been horrible for a long time the egg bow is one that I always look for they used to give us Texas Texas a& M some on on uh Thanksgiving or Black Friday they're not doing that either they give us Memphis to Lane come on we used to get Nebraska Colorado be great but it has to be at night this Egg Bowl too because like I mean it's those three rivalries you just mentioned this one I think takes care it's beyond animosity I mean there's pure violent hatred they have for each other and it's great and it like like you don't know if it's going to spill into the stands the stands are going to spill into the field you know it's like uh watching last chance you or something but like in a much better level and I I love it and um so I I wonder if pushing it to Black Friday in the afternoon is almost a safety hazard for crying out loud at PR caution horrible though man it's it is terrible you know what it's like to me is like Cincy Xavier in uh in college basketball where it's like you know they just [ __ ] hate each other there they're located the same you know Cincy Xavier same city but this one is same state yeah but we all know what Xavier's full of according to Bob Huggins uh you know you gota you gotta have to Google that one but I don't but they're counting down so it's a new day and age for Mississippi State you look back at last season and uh Zack Arnette you know I wish I could have been able to place a phone call to coach Arnette because yeah I thought he was I thought he was crazy to try you know I understand that you he was given you know I think it was a two-year contract but the buyout was like you know 10 grand or something you know like something ridiculous so didn't even last didn't even last a full year yeah well he yeah he didn't and you know he gets he gets thrown to the wolves in a way with obviously a tragic situation with our friend Mike Leech passing away and of course and and I I think he's a good football coach especially on the defensive side I think which is his specialty but Zack Arnett said I'm going to ditch the a ra and I'm going to run the hell out of the rock which you don't have the Personnel to do that thought that was a crazy it crazy mindset to do that like in in in in one quick season you know if you had gotten like a four five year deal then do it but knowing that you had a short leash I thought it was absolutely crazy considering the Personnel you had and uh obviously you look back at a season ago and they were five and seven and probably you can make the Cas that they probably should have been 4 and8 that Arizona game if you watched that game uh they were able to beat Arizona it started out 2 and0 and it was just rough Seas after that um what now now they go out and hire Jeff lebby you know where Zack AR I went though of course obviously College expert have to tell you he joined Lane kein crew over there in Old Miss He he'll be sitting there for that egg bow get some more going and Zack Arnett like I said I think he's a really good defensive coach he was great at San Diego State I thought he did a good job with with Mississippi State when leech was the the the head coach but obviously not ready to be a head coach at that level in my opinion or on a two-year on a two-year deal maybe he can get a group of five job or something and work his way up but yeah that does spice up the Rivalry a little bit but like you said tough situation tough situation he made it tougher by CH getting rid of the air raid and leech off and just trying to run it just bizarre um but yeah he didn't stand a chance really but yeah I like him going over to Lan kein yeah it just helps the Rivalry a little bit just a little bit of spice added there but Jeff leby comes in obviously and and and we should mention he's the former Old Miss OC just a couple years ago just think three years ago was the was the old Miss OC so you know uh I like their idea kein was three in one against them you know during the leech arnet era he was two in one against Le but leech did get you know leech's final game he coached was a egg egg win against against uh Lan kein but you know I I kind of like that idea of saying hey let's go get who cares about what what we're talking on a national level let's get the guy that that knows the way that basically is like this Jeff lebby's interview he goes because I understand how the bastard thinks I taught him now I own one uh and so you know that's that's what he was thinking and and Hell State brings him in now look say what you want lebby has had some fire offenses he's he's had UCF in a top 10 offense he had Old Miss is the top 10 offense back when they had Matt carral who's in the UFL now and then uh and then at Oklahoma I think they were the third ranked offense in the nation last year um yeah I mean Oklahoma's offensive coordinator with Gabriel out there and he's he's had all these like all these things you're mentioned he had good he was a quarterback Whisperer if you will I mean he was great with these quarterbacks so Mackenzie Milton that was Jeff be there uh now and look he was he was an art brow guy when they had RG3 and and Bob stops and yeah so he was at Baylor when you know Ken star was running things um there wow there was some Shenanigans a foot but uh what do you make of that higher I mean like I I like them going back to the offensive side of the ball in a way because I feel like a lot of the Personnel that they had but they did lose nowadays when you lose a coach your whole team leaves so uh yeah they didn't add too much either but they got some but I like the hire I mean it's EXC they needed a fresh start and this was exactly what this is they needed to tear that page it was a clean fresh start he's a hot you know commodity his first job his first S as a head coach but you know he's been a great coordinator quarterback whisper said we're going to bring back that offense the defense will be a problem um but uh no you gotta be excited for Jeff Levy yeah and I'm gonna make the the the play that the SEC is the old big 12 now when you really think about this okay you got Oklahoma coming in with Seth Latrell now who's the OC who runs you know Seth TRS and Mike Lee former fullback runs they're gonna be running the air raid y Jeff lebby is running the verer and shoot which is you know the BRS leech a little bit of both in there but stretching it more vertically Josh hyp runs that at Tennessee he's a former Oklahoma guy kayin deau comes in running air raid right and the whole damn conference it it's offense offense offense and uh it's going to be interesting to see you know with the exception of like Georgia you have uh these Elite offensive coaches so a lot of fireworks there um I don't know I I like the higher two they're gonna play quick they're G to play Fast if you're not familiar with ley's teams you know they they play super quick almost Chip Kelly esque and uh they one of the things I I talk a lot of trash about lebby I I'll be honest uh I hatte the evolution of his offense um with Dylan Gabriel So Oklahoma lost to uh the Red River shootout two years ago 49 nothing because they didn't have Dylan Gabriel that game and they didn't have a backup uh that was any good and the game prior to that they were play playing TCU and Gabriel got knocked out because in my opinion lebby coaches this you saw this at UCF and it started to drive me crazy with theck Kenzie Milton the abrupt Slide the designed quarterback draw abrupt slide to get the 15 yard penalty right and it it works all the [ __ ] time and it drives me absolutely crazy because they I get it it's within the rules and you're abusing the rules to me on this like the safety precaution but TCU one of my favorite moments in in college football over the past few years tcu's guy was like hey I'm just gonna blast Dylan Gabriel with this abrupt slide because it's hard to know when you're going to slide because it's super quick right and they knocked Dylan Gabriel out of the game for two for you know for that TCU game TCU blew him out the rest of the game and then you know Tech Oklahoma got whooped by Texas it drives me crazy watching the offense because I saw it last year doing the same thing and it's like they keep throwing these flags on this but I think it's it's he's he's pushing the envelope to me on on like I do think there's an edge there but it drives you're saying he Co he coaches them to draw the contact get to the line I'm just saying Dylan Gabriel who came over from UCF uh and and they did it a little bit at Old Miss with Matt with Matt carral where you you run and you do a quick abrupt slide where the defend that's qu accusation you're slinging out there at these guys oh yeah let's go but I mean look it's he's had top 10 offenses every [ __ ] year but it drives me [ __ ] crazy in that regard because I think yeah I agree but I don't think you have to worry about that this year with Blake shapon I don't think he's going to be doing any slides and he's going to go down but it's going to go down into pocket yeah let's talk about the offense cuz uh you know they were 105th in scoring per game Zack carnett defensive coach we're just going to run the ball three three yards cloud of dust but but all you have is a bunch of pass blocking uh offens lineman we're going to run the ball three yards clouds of dust they were 14th dead last in the SEC in scoring per game uh 101st in yards per game that was 12th best in the SEC which there were only 14 teams a year ago uh 109th in pass offense that's crazy they went from like number F like top five to 109th 13 and they had the same Personnel for the most part uh 13th in the SEC uh so second to last and then 79th in rush you know they they made a a big attempt to to run the ball more 146 point8 yards per game that was ninth best in the SEC uh so it was a disaster really you when you really think about it um and how about when you look at returning starters on the offensive side of the ball and I I uh uh let let me just uh bring in John Calipari to talk about this and you know what I'm jacked about another opportunity like I'm like let's go now I met with the team there is no team Jeff lebby uh zero it's not often yeah it's starting to become more often I feel like maybe with Colorado and Coach Prime last year but I even he had like two or three returning starters on the offens they have zero absolutely zero returning starters back on the offensive side of the ball uh okay good luck and uh let's talk about the portal because Will Rogers State Park is now at Washington he transfers out to the the runners up in the national championship to go with Jed Fishing Company um and then Mike Wright who previously started at Vanderbilt he trans was out to Northwestern mhm two quarterbacks with experience I actually thought Mike Wright might have fit lebby system all right I would have I would have stuck around if I were him uh running back Simeon price heads out to Coastal Carolina and running back Woody marks heading to uh to USC um jacobe uh bazard heads to Grambling a wide out nikai pool to JMU zavon Thomas was a stud for them I was just going to say zavon Thomas is the only name that pops out to me here that really that really hurts a marks is solid too marks is solid marks solid but they lost both receivers they lost xaven Thomas and uh was it lri Griffin went to the NFL yes he he left for the NF or didn't leave I think he just graduated but Justin Robinson also heads out to West Virginia uh and then the offens of line took some hits Jaden Hobson to South Bama Percy Lewis to Auburn was a big loss uh Steven Lya uh to the Vanderbilt comor they also lost tight end Ryland go to Georgia Tech and their kicker and punter uh you know not that they were starters uh the punter I think was but uh I mean you're bringing in a whole new roster man I don't BR roster I actually think their o Line's gonna be kind of a strong suit though I liked who the guys they brought in yeah they lost all those guys but uh their o line coach is good there Cody Kennedy and uh he he stocked him up with uh and lebby's running the offense he's the OC too head coach o OC now now they they did bring in some nice talent to me let's talk about this Blake shapen Baylor now this was surprising to me I did not see when I heard leby took the job I thought Mike Wright might stick around I knew Will Rogers was not going to be the guy um but I thought they might try to be active in the portal and bring in dquan Finn from Toledo who ended up at Baylor ironically or some other super mobile quarterbacks that are experienced shap in one was was very surprising to me so but leb's got a track record of worker with good quarterback so maybe he see something I don't see I mean well he was all conference two years ago he was kind of injured last year he was go having a decent year he's got he got banged up you know I'm not saying he's bad I'm just saying I didn't think he fit exactly that offense you know he's not Mobile's not mobile that's for sure but um you know he he's he's produced that Baylor granted a couple years ago won a big 12 Championship yeah absolutely Devon Booth is a stud from Utah State we'll see if he how he plays in the SEC level but I like liked him at Utah State they brought in Trent Hudson from New Mexico State you know they beat Auburn last year and that's a nice get and this this one I like a lot Kevin Coleman I thought Louisville would utilize him a little bit more than they did he was previously at Jackson State with Deion Sanders I like that git he's a great slot receiver he'll be uh he'll he'll he'll be a pure volume guy and then this guy I played him a lot in those Conference USA DFS slates on Tuesday and Wednesday Kelly uh aari yeah go ahead go ahead try the attempt I'll see you later but anyway yeah he is a Speedster 21 and a half yards per catch last year uh we went to El Paso right yeah and and like I I kind of I I kind of think that this this would be a fun watch you know the offense getting Coleman they got some challenge even the tight end from Buffalo was a was a like they were high on him coming in we'll see Buffalo to the SEC is a big gap with tight end Cameron ball coming in from Buffalo Al also Justin ball coming in from Vanderbilt to the tight end offensive line you were alluding to you like some of the moves they they they they did Ethan Miner coming in from North Texas uh maen Pounders from the Memphis Tigers returning home from Mississippi Hometown boy and uh he was great at Memphis he keeps I mean he's gonna be good yeah he was a big G yeah Marlon Martinez coming over from LSU and Brian Kelly and his family and uh jaob Jackson from Texas Tech with the Red Raiders so they they did solidify so some spots there uh but you still wonder that's a lot that's a dam you just brought in a brand new offense like a whole new team uh agree I don't know like I think they'll be good because lebby I think truly does know how to light it up offensively I do worry about depth though I do worry about depth that's a fair that's a fair point shapen was injured last year and lebby likes to do that quarterback draw [ __ ] we'll see if he does it uh with SH talking those pre-s slides yeah and uh I don't know you think the I mean obviously the offense will put up better numbers than Arnett's era but I don't know if it'll be on leech's level this final year in year one eventually I think he'll get there leby will but do you think the offense what do you think the offense will do this year well like you it's definitely gonna be uh better than last year yeah yeah it's gonna be better than last year the tempo is gonna be much better it's going to look better I mean it's going to take some adjustments but uh they're going to have I mean with Kelly I like hi they're definitely going to have some more big play explosiveness I'm excited for them to be honest with you um yeah I mean you have to compared to last year going back to the old drawing board yeah shout shout out to the the chat ven oh man saying hail state from Berlin Germany yes sir what the hell I appreciate that and I love we had uh we had a Helsinki Finland in here for the uh LSU preview and uh and and uh Manitoba I believe M uh you got the SEC fans are everywhere man everywhere they're in Germany they're getting a schnitzel a giant pretzel and a Sex Dungeon and they're locking under listen to some Mississippi State previews I love it amen uh he says he says they they need one or two recruiting classes to get it done after last season so you know for sure it's not it's not gonna happen exactly this year but let's talk about the defensive side of the ball last year they were pretty decent you know cuz that's ournet specialty 66 in scoring defense 26.6 points per game 10th best in the SEC yeah uh and 40th in yards only gave him 35.6 yards per game that was sixth best in the SEC by definition that was one of the better defenses in the SEC 34th in past uh and passing Goan giv up 24.7 yards per game once again six best in the SEC and 51st in Rush defense uh he's gone that system's gone and guess what they only bring back two starters so two starters back on the entire team yeah that's defensive end Damonte Russell and safety Corey Ellington uh I know that that uh you know they're bringing in a new DC um but I mean he's got his work cut out for him Coleman huder is that the coordinator yeah coming in there and I just think you got your work out you got a brand new roster again so I like that Cory Ellington though he came on towards the end of last year he started about seven games last year played in all 12 and then but he had a big he had a big Egg Bowl that's all that matters to me you know he had 12 tackles in that game that kind of gives him the confidence coming in he's a senior I think he's gonna have a big year actually and I think the secondary the defensive numbers are you know pretty solid mid-range but that secondary was a problem last year at times I mean definitely caus him some games um but you know like I said not too many returners but um they they didn't even bring in too much too you get you can get to that I know that um at least at least like in upper level you know what I mean svan merti imina it just means more in in Finish oh there's old Fe look shout out to fech uh and drip drip Tona says he's not much of an SEC guy but huge oh he's a tarel fan they might be in the SEC when it's all said and done so be wear what you wish for drip Tona and uh Sven saying they they that doesn't expect much they lost the top linebacking duo in the NCA with Watson and Johnson they had combined 700 tackles yeah um they went out Jeff Johnson yeah yeah and look they they they lost these guys in the portal jakarius Clayton the Marshall Jonathan David sou Miss just came in and says hey we'll take all your all the guys that can't cut it just bring them all down to Hattisburg at the Rock um they got that Brett far blood money down there uh Jonathan Davis Caleb br and Avery Sledge all going the Southern Miss uh Trent single did the South B Jamari Browns in the portal D Carlos Nichols hit a defensive backhead over to USC as well and will James also defensive back on to Southern Miss uh I don't know what to make of like like like I said the defense they went out they brought in some guys uh I'm gonna let you pronounce the first the first guy's name from Purdue that's coming in uh because you said you were familiar with his work oh yeah yeah absolutely I Solan Kaka uh from Purdue you got to get out of Purdue with a name like that there's no way you can [ __ ] blend in with the pilots up there and in Imagine going out to eat yeah Mee that girl at a bar in [ __ ] West Lafayette just tough table for two for look in Mississippi that works sure you're close you're close to Louisiana got the French names and [ __ ] nobody understands what anyone's saying that's I'm saying it's just like whatever all right uh uh moving moving down the line I like that stone Blandon though from South Carolina he's gonna be he's he's actually a good linebacker he'll probably be he jump right in there and be a heart and soul he's gonna have to be anytime you get a stone shout out to Stone labanowitz uh former former FCS quarterback doing some ESP speed radio stuff but but stone at linebacker to me is always a get you know you go whether it's Stone Cold Brian Bosworth or whether it's Michael Stone breaker remember my former Notre Dame linebacker back in the day uh Stone Blandon coming in they also brought in k kri Bingley Jones from North Carolina so uh shout out to uh shout out to drip Tona you're giving uh you're giving some Talent away to the SEC uh cornerback montre Miller who was good at West Virginia last year he transfers in dieago uh brumfeld coming in from Memphis and same with trayon white and punter Zachary Haynes from New Mexico State uh and white was a good Corner yeah I mean those Memphis guys did play a lot so right going right up the road and getting those guys what the de I mean I there's no way they're going to be as good as a year ago no got a couple other guys missing out the other safeties Isaac Smith and Kelly Jones in the in the secondary there um no they're not gonna be as good uh L ell what's up C block um but you know it's gonna be it's it's it's gonna be a you know a work in progress as they say so they're gon they're gonna they're gonna have to try to outscore some teams as I say yeah and uh we're going to get to uh the win total and talk about what we expect from them this season Go game by game on the schedule but uh first I want to tell you that kidding me they haven't they haven't had a four- win season so I guess they had the the covid year where things weren't but they only played in SEC Conference you got throw out the co there's no fans Stark Vegas can't be rocking besides that it makes me think they haven't had a season like this since like Sylvester kroom or something when they lost to the main black bears in the FCS um let me take a look but what's your first reaction to that that's a low number that's for sure and I um when you look at the schedule and then you look at the number you see like well I think they could be able to clear this easy and then you see um that it's actually even money to to deuce depos the plus money for the over and you're like okay what am I missing here you know then you take a deeper dive and yeah you see well things got be bad so um I don't know my my initial lean just looking at it I want to take I like the over just because I know they pad themselves with some non-conference in there and they got to win a couple you think real games and they can they can get you can get five no problem so in one way it's good you you get more games against the East right which has been a the weaker division of late but at the same time you got Oklahoma and Texas coming in it's hard to get auge there to to make to win the SEC Championship plus 70,000 you jump over there and sprinkle that ambitious for this team but if that I on Surface I think they can themselves to a bowl uh it'll be it'll be see let's let's go let's go let's dive you're not as you're not convinced about this I love right let's get into it uh because okay here we go August 31st oh boy you got the you got the the colonels coming to town now I'll say this I feel like these F these FCS schools have a really hard time with that leby off offense mhm but let me tell you man Easter Kentucky gave Kentucky all they could handle uh I think it was was it last year the year before I'm pulling it up right now uh yeah to Starksville August 31st Levy's first goddamn game better time to catch a team is when they're is when they're uh they're breaking in a brand new coach brand new system remember they were grounded pound last year brand new roster okay I'll still take Mississippi State we'll take Mississippi State I'll still take Mississippi State and since iate Hil State um that's what I'm saying I'm looking at a couple of these non-conference but we'll get into it here so let's go one and0 Eastern Kentucky yeah and Fe we hear you we've been talking about this EG on Black Friday it's ridiculous horrible uh week two they're heading to the desert to take on kenned dillingham's Bunch the Arizona State Sund was critical game here uh this is a winnable game to them yeah but it's also winnable for Arizona State I thought Arizona State looked a little bit you know dillingham's first year a year ago I thought towards the end of the season they were playing a little bit more competitively the Buy in was a little bit there I got State winning this I did too uh no I'm saying I got Arizona State winning this I do too okay uh I can see Mississippi State winning this this is a game Mississippi State needs to win especially if you're on the over I mean they need to win all these non-conference um uh that's a tough one I imagine that's I mean this is like a field goal spread I either it's a 50-50 game but I favor I'm gonna give a little bit of edge to you know what Arizona State L takes a while to get going too sometimes they're a mess give me Mississippi State in this game all right all right there we go I got him one and one bet detectives got him two and0 and then got two and them uh I'm curious where you're going to go on this one because the Toledo rocket are coming in town now they did lose dcoin Finn to Baylor but they did have you know he had been injured dinged up so they do have some experience though at the quarterback spot but you know Toledo was a uh 11- win team a year ago that should have beat Illinois they almost went they almost went 12-0 in the regular season um they were they really fumbled that Illinois game out the gate and they didn't lose another game in the regular season um dangerous game here but I love I'll put it like this if they beat Arizona state they're going to lose to one of these non-con games I okay I got them beating Toledo here though so I got him two and one and it's definitely a tough spot because you got a sandwich game here coming back off Arizona State um and Florida coming up next was a big conference opener at home with the cowbells I'll get to that when I get to it um but yeah you're either with this team against it I want to go ahead and say they 3 and0 Toledo coming up setting up for a huge huge biggest game on the schedule to me yeah I love this game because it dictates the future of this team it dictates you know hey Billy napers might be fired if you don't win this game right for Florida they're hosting the Florida Gators on on September 21st and I do think it's their most important other than the Egg Bowl uh I would say it's their most important game of the season yeah uh already on the hot just because I think if they get this there's a great path for a bowl game like I said maybe they're three and0 you know I I tend to think they'll drop one of those non-con games but you get this and then you really got life and momentum you're 4-0 and then you know you got home games against Arkansas and A&M and UMass left and missou you got the eggwell still that's you know those games are always wacky so you could potentially still win that but this is the hardest game too like I I I I'll favor Florida because I think they're in better shape with the veteran team but I don't think it's by much I think it's Florida by like a by three or something oh I yeah no for this is not hard for me I I love this game I think this is the big I would barely even call this an upset I love Mississippi State in this game I think the cowbells are going to be going CRA going crazy here home the conference opener the new the new era the Jeff Levy opener he's gonna have something for this for uh for this uh pretty mediocre Gator I mean they're the similar teams to me if you ask me one's on the way up on it's going be on the way down um yeah I like them to be Florida I looking at their conference schedule here just in the overview they got the games they want at home the games on the road they're going to get blown out anyway so who cares you know what I mean like you if you know you're Georgia your texases you don't want you don't want to waste those home games on them because they're when the games are gonna lose they're gonna lose big but um but the they but the the toss-up games they have them at home and I think that in Starkville and this where exactly where you want Florida I think they start out to a four and0 start here probably three I mean I hope I look I would love it if you were right I I just feel like Florida's in year three in naer they're the more they're actually the more desperate team lebby's kind of playing with house money which might give them the edge because sometimes your team is super tight you know but I I think Florida is in a better spot from a roster standpoint right now especially in September this game was in November when leby has it more figured out and that the players understand what he wants a little bit more right I think I think it would be uh more winnable well it's still winnable though because Florida's been a disaster under Billy yeah Florida's a mess I'm not afraid of Florida come into town uh then the final week of September they had to Austin Texas to take on H this I I I please win this game but uh uh I gotta favor the Longhorns there but I'll tell you this man Texas's pass defense was [ __ ] horrible last year and lebby and them they throw the [ __ ] ball around man so hey oh for sure I mean I'll be I'll be looking over on this one that's for sure but I don't know they they won't to be Texas so I I got them I got them sitting there at two and three at the five week two and three is that true yeah all right all yeah you have losing to Florida not me four and one and sitting pretty good sitting pretty yeah uh shout out to deanii in the chat saying he's excited to see the leby offense um yes absolutely so um yeah I've always wondered and know this is a conversation probably for another day but I've always wondered why like vanderbild or Mississippi State or you know especially now that every that you've added A&M you've added uh o Texas and Oklahoma they should go one of these teams should go triple option just just because they would [ __ ] with those teams man they would really [ __ ] with those teams um uh after the bye they are at the Georgia Bulldogs shout out to Greg sanki and them giving them at Texas at Georgia at Tennessee and at Old Miss all projected to be 10- win teams or nine and a half 10- win teams [ __ ] insane uh they're not gonna win this game they're gonna get [ __ ] up and they will not they will not beat Georgia and unfortunately where I feel like Texas A&M could be winnable not after the body blow that is Georgia I agree I got A&M taking him down on October 19th and man I got them I agree I I I I wish for them that you maybe could be able to flip this Georgia A&M schedule you know A&M off the buy not Georgia off the buy and then A&M off of Georgia uh A&M is beatable but they after after this is just a tough slate back toback after Georgia so um I'll take a loss there so now we have him at what four and three yeah I got him at two and five two and five for you all right four and three for me and an interesting one Arkansas comes in I don't even know if Sam Pitman will be coaching this game and I I saw Sven saying that this is the most important game of the season I'll tell you this whether he's coaching or not I expect I actually think Arkansas will be better this year than last year I know he's saying they don't have KJ Jefferson and Rocket Sanders they brought in tailon green and to me they brought in the xfactor road rash face AKA Bobby patrino which I think will open up this offense and I think some of the running backs they got they got the kid from Utah coming in I think Arkansas is actually gonna be better this year it's still winable because it's in Starkville and Arkansas will give you a lemon but I'm take it Arkansas man right well this is this another one of those pivotal games this game in the Florida game if you know how it's going to make or break their season if they're going to get to a bowl if they're going to get to where they need to be which is six or seven wins um I think they can get this game I think after C after back-to-back losses they rally around back-to-back home games and they and they beat they beat a very susceptible Arkansas Team I'll say this there's a chance if they fire Everybody by this point Arkansas that they could just quit they could just quit on the season so it is it could be much more win than you know Ian not that I don't think I think it's still winnable right now it's kind of a tossup game uh I just think Arkansas's roster is a little bit better than Mississippi States right now and that's the deciding factor to me then the UMass Minutemen in their classic rivalry game classic rivalry got to keep that tradition going D you pull up um's schedule they got like three or four SEC games it's [ __ ] hilarious with SEC and their eight game conference schedule it cracks me up because I think they've played like 12 I did I I had this number stored somewhere I don't have it in front of me but it's like they've played way more SEC teams than like you you know because of the eight game conference schedule like A&M's played Tennessee like once in 12 years meanwhile UMass has played like every team three times um I'll take this is this is lebby's Win here Tes takes down UMass I should hope I should hope they beat UMass at home yes and that's their third win to me then they head to Knoxville nope uh no although I mean you know he little Josh hbel Revenge actually was on the staff with h but no he they don't have enough to be Tennessee by far San says in the chat what did patrino do in College Station nothing but I'd like to push back on that because Jimbo Fischer's a control freak he didn't give him the Reigns to run the offense I I think Patrina will be fine giving G you know with being the the main play caller Jimbo fer is an Sam Paul perk I love this is why I'll push back on any any Bozo that thinks the 12 team playoff is a mistake they say it's going to devalue the regular season I completely disagree I think it's only going to make the regular season more valuable because you have spots like this Missouri and Miss are both going to be playing for a playoff spot I think at this point right yeah what before you know we love the egg bow there's always a real motive behind it but how great would it be to see Mississippi State ruin old Miss's season or ruin Missouri season but specifically the egg bll it the stakes are so much higher now the [ __ ] you potential is even greater you know what I mean like before it was like yeah they're playing but they Old Miss Miss state were never like Fringe National Championship team so the game had meaning because they hate each other but now you add in that the fact that you can derail their entire playoff season or you know playoff hopes uh and kind of ruin their entire season it makes for much better regular season in my opinion but uh any chance you're taking I'll tell you this man by the time November rolls around I do think lebby will have that offense rolling and I do find it interesting that in November he plays both of his former bosses Josh hypo at Tennessee and then Lan kein uh you know the F both away games um you got to win any of those I think they could upset Missouri they're both winnable they're both but they're both losable too I mean uh Missouri they could definitely upset off the buy uh Missouri's better obviously it's uh it'll be easily their toughest home game um other than them in A&M um they could get them I don't think they will egg bll anything can happen in that game you know obviously throw all the records out the window yeah um but like you said and they will be playing spoiler so they can get one of these two I'm I'm gonna say they get one of those all right there you go because I just feel like lebby by the time a first year coaches not only lebby but first year coaches by the time they get to November I feel like your teams kind of know they're they they start to know what you want know what to expect and I feel like you're almost in year two by that point and you kind of see it with a lot of first year coaches where they they'll go like three and nine or something you saw uh Arizona State almost knocked off should have knocked off Washington last year dillingham's first year right yes Terri P pass interference call and then the next play is a pick six uh which Washington prevailed off of that but my point is they were getting chipper as a season went along and that's why I think Hil state will get one I still have them on the o on the under though uh I think they're looking at you know four wins or three wins uh there I do have them at four and eight yeah my only push back of the of uh leby and in the team rolling towards the end is is their lack of depth and that could come into a factor as no as the season gets really into the deep Waters and and let's be honest his quarterback's maybe not at Old Miss but when he was at UCF what happened injuries to their quarterbacks right what happened uh with at Oklahoma injuries to their quarterbacks so there's that risk with Jeff Levy running the the the hell out of the quarterbacks um it could be a problem it could be a problem by the get 10 so I have him losing both these games Missouri and Old Miss um but I still have them at six and six though I already gave him six wins I have him coming out the gates four and0 he's got them bowling he's got them bowling in Stark Vegas and that's when they rally they'll get a win a nice season momentum winning Bowl yeah nice uh what is the Las Vegas Bowl you think you're gonna give him p penil in for yeah there out there to the Bahamas Bowl all right no but yeah Las Vegas Bowl something like that uh because that's what yeah I feel like that's what's been the the six and six SEC teams uh wow that detective feeling pretty sound with the over I I I think the under's a decent decent play too because I think that schedule's brutal I mean they hilarious that they get out of the SEC West they they draw Florida from the SEC East Georgia from the SEC East Tennessee from theast and Missouri now Florida is the only one that I think your eyes can say we could steal this one the other ones you're just like [ __ ] man we're getting the three best teams from the SCC East and then you throw in an at Texas so in a way I almost feel like the the the breaks haven't been shown I think eventually maybe next year the year after they'll get a more favorable SEC schedule um I'm on the under I feel decent about it would you would you bet this one yeah I would I feel I feel good about the over um at four and a half because you if you look at it from a total yeah all those tough games are tough games like I said their losses are going to be big losses but it doesn't matter it still counts as one loss no wins if you look at it from distance there the four non-conference games I mean you hope to go four and0 there obviously risk of not doing it with Arizona State and Toledo back to back but pretty good chance to going four- 0 or three- one at at the at the least there for those four non-conference games and if you do that then you only need one or two other games and we're and now you're thring the coin toss there with Florida A&M Arkansas missou and old miss you need to get one or two of those games and I think it's very doable I'd love to know the last team that went bowling that only returned two starters yeah that that I know it's a different AG in college football with the portal and everything so completely yeah but did you see that uh did you see that Meme I
