[Music] round one [Music] yo what up Menards I'm Brandon your friendly neighborhood nerdtender and today is a very special episode of the nerd tender uh I am going to be doing a cocktail for our boy Kevin over at back to the Retro review today and I thought to myself what's more retro than a whiskey sour so uh instead of bourbon though I'm going to be using Jameson because I love my Irish whiskey I've got lemon juice and maple syrup instead of simple syrup and then of course a maraschino cherry garnish and lemon or a lime wedge so first thing we're going to do we're going to get two ounces of whiskey you can use any whiskey bourbon Irish whiskey Canadian whiskey whatever you want to use don't let him tell you otherwise I'm using two ounces of Jameson we're going to put that into a Shaker with some ice then we're gonna do one ounce of lemon juice you could use fresh lemon juice if you want I didn't have any lemons so I'm using bottled lemon juice close enough to one ounce all right and then we're gonna do three quarter ounce of maple syrup now I know you're probably thinking why are you using maple syrup why not all right so we've tossed that in there and then we give it a good hard shake all right and now we're gonna go ahead and strain into our rocks glass I got my ice ball in here strain that over there we go garnish with our Maraschino and our lime wedge and there you have your back to the Retro whiskey sour doesn't get much better than that I hope you guys enjoy check out back to the Retro review and uh check out the rest of The Mod Squad videos uh we got a whole slew of them over there including myself the nerdtender I hope you guys enjoy drink responsibly and uh have a great day [Music] oh [Music]
