Celebrating Jim Donovan: Diana Munz, Olympic gold medal swimmer, talks with Jimmy and Laura

So listen, we know you love the browns. Oh, I know he loves the browns and all of you do too at home. But let's shift to another one of your favorite sporting events, the Olympics. You know a friend of yours, an Olympian gold medal winner, bronze Diana MS. Welcome in. So great. It is great to see you. Thank you for coming. Of course. Thank you for having me and you cover Diana so much in that Olympic zone, right? We did. But I have to tell you when Diana was getting ready to go to the Olympics, we went over to the Hawkins school. That's where Diana trained. Ok. We went over there and I'm watching her do this, this workout. It was her nighttime or her afternoon workout. Now she had done a workout at like five o'clock in the morning, right? And I'm just going, oh my God, this is unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable. And then she brings home a gold medal. Yeah, and the pool is no longer there anymore. So sad. I know watching all these kids train in such amazing facilities now and like I trained in a five lane 25 yard pool, you can really train anywhere. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. And, uh, it's just, I mean, wow, what an athlete, I have to ask you, what was it like having gym interview you and cover you? And isn't it? I mean, for the age that I was, and having such an influence on in Cleveland and here was unreal. I mean, I, I didn't know what I was doing and so it was like, wait, could I really be doing something this grand to be having somebody interview me like this? So not only that, but uh we went over to your house that time and parents were great. I mean, we just had a great time that night. And I mean, here she was, she was going to the biggest event in the world, the Olympic Games and deservedly so awesome. Thank you so much for being, oh my goodness. It's so great to see you so great to see you. I, I am sad. I'm not gonna see you in this next summer. Olympics are coming around and I'm not like Michael Phelps. I had that. I had to hang it up. Thank you. Your fame is, is grand right now. I have my medals.
